Fantastic evening in Charlie's Bistro on a cold Monday evening. The food was plentiful and tasty outdone only by the exceptional service! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who really looked after us! The delicious house whisky was a surprising treat given the quality of most 'house' drinks. If you are ever in the area then a visit to Charlie's is a must!
We came with some friends and the children prior to the Christmas light switch on. It took an hour from us arriving to getting our food so sadly the children missed the switch on. The food was good though, and the kids eating free was a bonus. Service time was the only let down.
This is a lively and welcoming old fashioned proper pub. There were local beers on the bar which were a good pint. The log fire was blazing and the food really good.
One best meals to date.Food was amazing and good value for being upmarket.Service was spot on and not long to wait.Wine was very per bottle.Highly recommend
First visit to this lovely tea house. Beautiful setting and although they were busy and my husband and I hadn’t booked they found us a table
No fuss, no problem. We had lovely homemade soup (nicest I’ve had in a while when eating out). Finished off with a great proper cup of coffee and some lovely home baking.
Well worth a visit and we will definitely be back when we are next in the area.
We stopped by The Coffee Apothecary in Pitmedden for lunch today. It was our first time visiting and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the savoury pancakes, which came with bacon, eggs, and maple syrup. The combination was delicious - everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully balanced.
To go with it, I had an Earl Grey tea served in a lovely blue willow china cup. The tea arrived loose leaf in a pot with a removable filter, which added a nice touch of ceremony to the experience.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a cold winter day, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a great spot for lunch with a cozy, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!
Popped in for lunch and had a wonderful experience.
We were welcomed with a friendly smile and shown to our table.
Service was sharp and came with great recommendations.
The cake selection was fantastic, great GF and vegan options.
Looking forward to my next visit.
I was in Aberdeenshire and needing a mid morning fry up when I read good things about Boogie Woogie on TA. Loads of parking right outside which is always good. I was met with friendly staff and most tables were taken. I had the full cooked breakfast and added black pudding and went for an americano. The coffee was great and the food appeared quickly and what a plateful it was. Everything was delicious and it kept me going until teatime. There is a number of locally produced items for sale such as knitwear, toiletries etc as well. Highly recommended
Fabulous place for a relaxed lunch.
An authentic family run restaurant adhering to very high standards.
Superb and authentic Italian food, fabulous service and a warm convivial atmosphere.
If you are in the Scottish Borders, very highly recommended.
I don’t even know what the place looks like but from what I seen from all the reviews and photos and stuff, the place is really nice and I would most definitely go if I could, tell kyran I said hi
