Quirky and wonderful. Highly recommend staying here. In a very quiet neighborhood.

We were at Navaar House Hotel for the second time! That probably says it all. It is a very old building but clean and the people are very hospitable and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast is great and the food is excellent! Highly recommended if you want to visit Edinburgh. Who knows, see you next time!

The restaurant closes too early in the evening; that restricts a guest somewhat. Rooms and technology are perfect.

Had a comfortable one night stay here. Spacious room with ensuite bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was provided with a really nice coffee. Special mention to the staff who were very helpful from booking till the checkout.

Just spent 2 nights at the Navaar House hotel and can't praise the staff and owner high enough. The staff were very helpful and polite, the food was beautifully cooked and cooked to order. Our evening fish tea for 2 was excellent we included a starter and a sweet and all were excellent. The full Scottish breakfast was huge beautifully cooked and piping hot a good start to any the day. Highly recommend Navaar House for service and good food.

Clean and tidy rooms. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food nice and fresh. But not alot of choice food wise.

Had a family meal there on 25th of Feb. Place was busy but with plenty of room and enough space that groups weren't imposing on eachother. Menu was fairly basic, but everyone loved the food and the portions. Service was very pleasant and cheerful, a credit to Hotel. Had stayed there a night before last Xmas when stranded in Penicuik and was impressed enough with my breakfast that I recommended the hotel to the family for Maw's 80th. Family were impressed. Also recommend reading up on the special history of the hotel, which explains the strange (if you don't know why) zebra logo for a Scots hotel.

Good food and service. Pleasant ambience and reasonably priced. What more do you want? The hamburger 🍔 was superb. Large portion for lunch do did not need my tea (which is unusual for me).

It was a fantastic room. We stayed in the most affordable, and it was perfect for us, spacious and beautiful. The restaurant was excellent. The staff was beyond helpful. We arrived later than we wanted. The kitchen was closed, but the team was accommodating and heated our food and delivered it to our room. A bus stop right in front of the hotel with a bus directly to Edinburgh City centre that runs until quite late, which is lovely. It was like staying in a family home.

Service was great quick and efficient. Location 10min on the bus from home.

Lovely staff and really nice food.

First class experience. Friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed the roast dinner and the real ale. Excellent value for money. Returning after a very enjoyable visit a year ago and wasn't disappointed.
