first time ordering absolutely amazing probably best indian food i have ever had, very affordable and the staff were very helpful over the phone.

AVOID! 0/5 STARS. Absolutely disgraceful service. Wouldn’t give it 1 star. Waited 2 hours on an a delivery, called the shop to ask where my deliver was, only to find out it wasn’t even cooked yet! Shocking customer service, avoid if you want to wait an entire evening on your meal.

Love their meals every time. The flavours are always well balanced and the ingredients taste fresh. My partner and I are both vegetarian and there's lots of tasty options. Spice of Penicuik is one of our top take outs in town.

So happy that this is our local takeaway. Better Indian food here than most places around. My partner and I are vegetarian and were spoilt for choice. Most recently we ordered 2 curries that were well balanced and tasted delicious.

Very good food definitely be back there, recommended anyone to go will not be disappointed.

Amazing fresh food excellent quality and service can't fault

My local takeaway and have used them for many years. Food has always been excellent and would recommend the lamb Pathia.

Asked for them to make me an aubergine masala (not on their menu) and they did. It was excellent and think it should be added to their take away menu from now on. Delicious

Great veggie/vegan curries, great service.

Ordered lamb jalfrezi, my partner also ordered a lamb dish, on the plus side the sauce was exceptional, best I've had for a long time, downside was the lamb was inedible, extremely chewy, unable to even cut some pieces with a knife, we ended up having to chuck the lamb away. I phoned to make them aware, whilst the guy on the phone was polite and apologised, his answer was, we don't usually get complaints about our food, well you did tonight, I'd suggest trying the lamb before selling it, this happened the 1st time I tried here, I thought it was a one off, and tried it again, same issue so won't be back, shame cos the sauce really is very, very good.

Ran out of king prawns for the night at 7 o’clock but waited half a hour to inform me. Avoid at all costs stick to the. Clippers and natural spice.

Best Indian in the whole of Midlothian and Edinburgh! After recently moving to the area we tried out the restaurant as it was only a few miles away. The food is exceptional and the friendly service is just as good! Would recommend to everyone!

Food always good thought really reasonable prices compared to other Indians which are nowhere as nice won't go past it highly recommend.

First time ordering a meal here, when passing through Penicuik. Meal was lovely, chicken tender, naan and poppadoms great too. Service by the young counter assistant was excellent. We stay about 15 miles away, but will definitely be back for more. Very reasonable prices compared to what we pay at our usual Indian.

Ordered a delivery. Was told it would 1.5h. Accepted this. After 1.5h was called to say it would be another 1h! Ridiculous. Have also found the quality of the food to be very variable. Some days good. Often very poor.
