LaLe Turkish Restaurant in Highland

Choosing a location for our team Christmas night out is always tricky with 45 people between 16 and 80, but this was wonderful. Funda and her team could not have been more accommodating from the initial booking, menu planning and service on the night. We did some sharing platters to start which everyone loved. Main courses and puddings were a hit with the whole team and no-one left hungry. We have since been back as a family and again food and service were outstanding. This is a hidden gem in Inverness and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had booked La Le for dinner on Monday 19th February. Unfortunately, it was in entire darkness when we arrived at 7pm and remained so for the 10 minutes we waited. Finally we gave up and ate at Mangrove, which was delicious and I can thoroughly recommend.

Delicious food and friendly service

Funda is the best thing that happened to Inverness hospitality. Always looking after her customers, sharing her accolades with them, and if you listen to her food philosophy you will understand why she has achieved them. Anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine won't be dissatisfied. Sea bass is to die for!

Went in about an hour before they closed and got great fast service. It was a nice break from the pub food we'd been having on our trip. The staff was friendly, the decor cozy, but most importantly, the food was delicious.

Not having been able to get a gables as aspendos we tried this one We had the aubergine £19 and the meze. Wow Lidl does better meze! And the aubergine was very sweet and not very flavoursome. Having seen the great reviews we thought to give it a shot. It looks good Staff friendly Food a let down Beside the fish and chips which was nice. Went to Lale this evening for the first time. Warm welcome from the lovely owner. Mezze served promptly, lovely warm bread and plenty of dips. Great menu with plenty of delicious options. Excellent Turkish coffee too.

Have been here before and it was just as amazing as always. The welcome and the service was outstanding so friendly could not do enough for us. And the food was fantastic the flavours are still having a party in my mouth. If you have not been here before you need to try it highly recommend it.

A few streets up from the river, this restaurant was nearly empty on a Thursday night after we tried four others that were full and couldn't seat us for 1-2 hours without a reservation (poor planning on our part)! I have no idea why it was empty but feel very lucky to have gotten the place to ourselves. Service was quick (obviously), and the food was GREAT. We had the Haloumi, lamb iskender, and chicken shish. All were excellent, flavorful, and just what we needed after a long, rainy, windy day of driving.

First time we visited this place. Nice location and very good ambience. Lot of games for kids and young children to play while adults can enjoy talking 😊 We enquired the place before reaching for reservation. Plenty of seating area here, mostly you will get a seat. Parking is free in the evening behind the restaurant. Food was okay, I had better taste food at other Mediterranean restaurants. Price seems to be more, may be it’s a tourist destination. Staffs were friendly, cleanliness was very good.

Great food and plenty of seating and nice service! Perfect spot when you want something different and don't want to fight the crowds off the main tourist corridor. I think the only reason this restaurant wasn't super crowded was the location, but it's worth going over just a few streets.

What a fabulous evening we had here recently. On arrival you are made to feel so welcome. From the minute we arrived the staff are so attentive. And the food was outstanding and so tasty. I couldn't find fault with anything and can't wait to go back when visiting again. Highly recommend x

Went to La Le for the first time last night, met up with a group of friends and we had such a lovely evening and had the best meal. I have a few dietary requirements, no problem. My meal was so tasty and plentiful. Little touches make it. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, Staff were friendly and the owner so welcoming. I will most certainly revisit and highly recommend this wee gem!! Thank 😊

I recently dine at la le and was thoroughly impressed by both the exquisite cuisine and the impeccable service. The menu showcased a variety of innovative dishes blending flavours and beautiful presentation.the Attentive and knowledgeable staff ensured that our meal was a memorable one . La Le is a fantastic restaurant. The service is great and the food is overwhelmingly good. Very fresh with a lot of greens and perfectly seasoned. Especially fish/seafood dishes are recommendable (they provide local fish mostly). Accordingly, the prices are high but acceptable.

This is easily some of the best food in the highlands. The people that run this place are extremely kind and we have never been disappointed in either the food or experience. We try to order from here at least once a month and we are always looking forward to it.

Such a good place! food is amazing - I had a baked aubergine which was the best I've ever had (even better than in the actual mediterranean!) Service was amazing, and would highly recommend the tzaziki with bread! You need to come here!

If you want an authentic, fresh, flavoursome food...this is the place to go in Inverness!!!! Amazing ambiance, super friendly staff and altogether a fantastic experience. We could not recommend it enough!!!

After arriving by train in the evening, we found this gem. Absolutely delicious! My son had the mixed grill for one which had chicken and lamb which he said was very good. My husband had the chicken shish and I had the prawn shish - both of which were fantastic. Also don’t miss out on the tzatziki!!

We went to this restaurant, as the one we had planned to have dinner was closed. What a lucky occurrence. The food was amazingly good, service was excellent and everything was great. I had the lamb wrapped in bread with a delicious sauce, one of my friends had the halloumi skewers. We all agreed that it was really really good.

Nice Turkish restaurant eat on ace we have eaten at so far while visiting staff and owner very pleasant. I’d recommend if in the mood for Turkish food.

La relación calidad-precio no es buena. Comida muy cara para la calidad e incluso cantidad del producto. Por un trozo pequeño de salmón con verduras nos cobraron 30 euros. Pena puesto que el local es agradable al igual que el personal que trabaja en él.

A hidden gem of Inverness!! The food was fantastic! And they were so sweet to us! When they found out we were on our honeymoon they gave us a special treat!! Thank you so much!!!

Cibo meraviglioso e personale molto accogliente

We ordered the vegetable casserole, the lamb casserole and haloumi chips. Casseroles were served with a small salad and rice. All delicious. Would totally recommend. Fresh and just what we needed after a cool day out sightseeing.

I wish I had an option for less than 1 star here. Fake fancy looking Turkish restaurant which has no connection to Turkish cuisine. Tried their mixed grill and hummus. Hummus tasted bitter and mixed grill was dry as cardboard and reheated or microwaved. I even checked with the host if the chef is Turkish or even knows about Turkish cuisine. Reply was 'No, chef is not and food is different at different places' I also dropped a msg for the chef that if he/she ever visit London, I can make them hummus just so they know how it actually tastes. I liked the host's sarcastic reply that 'if you know how to make hummus why do you even order it here'

Worst experience ever for a Turkish restaurant. Tried their mix grill and it was sweet and not properly cooked and taste was more like an Indian restaurant rather than Turkish. Also it is very expensive, mix grill costs 26 pound. Total waste of money and tasteless. Will never recommend any one to go there.

We hebben hier erg lekker gegeten. Vooral een stoofschotel met lamsvlees was erg lekker. De bediening was snel en vriendelijk.

We aten twee vegan gerechten. Beide gebaseerd op aubergine. Helaas waren de groentes in beide gerechten behoorlijk doorgekookt en was het erg vet . Wellicht is dit de kookstijl van dit restaurant, maar het viel daarmee wel tegen.

Our dinner was very nice! We had a few different dishes and enjoyed them all - the seafood casserole was definitely a hit and I realy liked the lamb aubergene casserole. My husband had the King Prawn Shish and my other daughter had the Mix Grill. For appetizers we had the hummus (very good) and Halloumi (good, but not outstanding).

Had the mixed grill for 2, all the meat was tender and tastey, then the deserts were moorish. Service was friendly and unobtrusive. Really enjoyed our meal, will definitely be back

The surprisingly delicious dishes are a must try. We can't go anywhere else in inverness now. You should definitely try the creamy mushroom soup and creamy chicken. wonderfull ıce cream . The owner Mrs. Funda, is very friendly and hospitable.

Very disappointing ! Certainly not value for money from the early bird menu !(half a meal) Starters were incorrect, so whilst some of us had to eat ours while it was hot others had to wait until theirs was cooked and given the correct dish! When our mains arrived we were all amazed at how little we had on our plates ! (For A veggie option one skewer with approx 3 cubes of halloumi ! ) Fortunately we’d ordered sides ! However, these did not turn up until we’d finished our meal , so told them Not to bother bringing them ! Having eaten in many Turkish restaurants over the country I did not feel that this was value for money or very Turkish!!!!

Enjoyed the food which was tasty and served quickly. I found it a little over priced, for example, over £20 for a chicken shish. It was very quiet for a Friday night so atmosphere a bit lacking. Decor is very ‘pub lounge’.

This place is hands down to one of the best halal restaurants in Scotland. It has big variety of foods, not only Turkish but also western taste. It has very nice seafood and we also had a very delicious lasagna. The place is very convenient, amazing vibes, also very near to a big parking spot. The staff even allowed us to pray and give us a sheet for praying mat. All the best!

Went with friends for an evening meal. There were 7 of us with a large age range from children to pensioners. There was a good selection for everyone to choose something. The service was very efficient and prompt and the food enjoyed by everyone.

I had the Imam Bayildi - stuffed aubergine - and it was the best I'd ever had. I used to get it regularly when I lived in Paris. My husband had the lamb iskender and it was equally delish. We rounded off our meal with a chocolate orange cake (not too heavy on the orange) and Turkish tea. Delightful! The restaurant was quiet, unlike a lot of the restaurants we passed, and luckily reservations weren't required. The staff was great. Attentive, but not overly so. If I'm ever back in Inverness, I'm definitely going to make a point of eating here again!

What an amazing restaurant, we were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food was fabulous and the welcome and service was excellent. I’ll certainly be back and will recommend to friends.

Apologies to my countrymen but I cannot find good food in Scotland. Just about every international food option I have ever tried in this country has been "British-ised" and frankly I just gave up on trying "authentic" (Thai, French, whatever) food, because it doesn't taste how I remember food tasting in those countries. We decided to give this restaurant a shot and it is my new Inverness favourite. Nothing was soggy, food that I'm normally pickier about came out perfectly. Normally we have a fair bit of food waste because we eat until we're not hungry and then just stop because it's not as pleasant an experience as we would have liked - we ate all of this. My mum is visiting from out of town but did spend a few years growing up in Turkey and she absolutely loved this as well. The customer service was excellent (normally it feels like so many restaurants are being inconvenienced when they even take our order), and the portions were PERFECT. It was a pricey meal (£142 of food for six of us), but completely worth it. So often I end up with massive portions of food that isn't particularly good and last night I had the best meal I've had in probably a year, if I'm honest. So happy to have found this place and we will be back - probably often.

not a great experience, we have tried Turkish food in many places, I'd say this wasn't the best. we ordered grilled food it seemed the meats where pre cooked then grilled, or leftover and reheated again perhaps?!!!!didn't seem fresh, pricey for the size of portion too,

Nice atmosphere, casual but still a tad fancy. But that’s where the positive comments (sadly) end. Service was poor. Not a single check-in to ask how things were going or if we needed more drinks/food etc. Meals were super slow to come out. When asked for an update, the response was hostile rather than anything that resembles customer service. I’d expect that from a takeaway restaurant, not a place that charges £25 for entrees. A simple apology would have been nice. Aside from that, food was just ok. Chicken was good but all lamb dishes were very over cooked. Disappointing for a restaurant that specializes in grilling. Amazing food and drink!! Went to celebrate my daughters 2nd bday as the nearby restaurant showed racism by denying a seat and am glad we had our meal there. Meat was cooked perfectly with right seasonings. Will be back for sure!
