Just what we wanted some Chips and burgers. Delicious!!!

I didn’t have high expectations of the food here - but we had the best meal. The flatiron steaks were perfectly cooked, the Cajun chips hot and the salad had a lovely dressing. Along with the bottle of Merlot, it was just perfect.

A lovely place for a few drinks. We were travelling from Scotland to London on a Monday evening and we stopped at Jimmy Badgers. We were looking for a friendly bar that we could sit in for an hour or so and this fitted the bill perfectly. We had a few pints of lager each and looked at the extensive cocktail menu. The cocktails looked fantastic but it just wasn't the right time for us. We were served quickly by the bar staff and we were treated well. The people around us seemed to be enjoying their cocktails and they weren't holding back. Definitely worth a visit.

I am so pleased that we tried this lovely cocktail bar. It serves great food, and the service was friendly. We went on a Monday lunchtime, and there were not many people in, but the decor, music & welcoming staff helped keep a nice atmosphere. I have walked past a few evenings, and the place is full. Well worth a visit.

I love cocktails, so I was excited to try this place after seeing it advertised at a roundabout. I have MS, so I like to find somewhere to eat and spend a couple of hours enjoying cocktails - so we booked with the intention of staying for a couple of hours. I found the girl who served us short, impatient and unwelcoming. I asked if the devil's margarita (spelled wrong on menu - like margherita pizza) was like a spicy margarita, to which she said "yes but its not spicy", so I said I'd just like a spicy margarita, just that"..to which she said "so you'd like the bloody mary margarita (which wasn't even on menu so I had no idea what it was), and again I told her I just wanted a spicy margarita. She said "OK, so a bloody mary margarita" as she wrote it on her pad, to which I asked what it was and if it had tomato juice in it, which she confirmed and I, and my husband clarified that I just wanted a margarita but spicy. She looked at me like I was speaking Dutch and appeared to be getting annoyed. I was brought what looked and tasted like a breakfast juice in a tiny glass with ZERO spice or lime juice and had a rim of what tasted like fajita seasoning. I don't mind paying for decent cocktails but I felt thoroughly ripped off. Any place coined as a cocktail bar, should be able to make a classic cocktail like a margarita! I was so disappointed we left immediately. I loved the decor but it was cold and smelled strongly of fish.

We were looking for a place to eat a bit late in the evening but avoiding big chains. We decided to give it a try as it looks like a just a cocktail bar and it was the perfect choice!! Tremendous burgers and good pricey.

Lovely couple of hours spent here yesterday. Fabulous cocktails and the food was incredible. We went for a selection of small plates, to be shared and none of us were disappointed. The staff were super attentive, without being too much, they were friendly and chatty. This is our second visit here and just love it. Will be back soon.

Didnt have any food , had some cocktails which were really good , Nutella martini especially but the place was let down by the lack of atmosphere and a couple of boozed up idiots annoying a group of girls , the management had a few words but it didnt seem to get through so we left ,plenty of other places locally for a quiet drink

What a super find on a trip to Inverness. A modern cocktail bar, welcoming atmosphere with friendly, professional staff. Food was tasty and nicely presented and together with gorgeous cocktails made a perfect evening.

We struggled to find an open place because it was New year and then we walked into this one and I can say we have no regrets. The food was amazing, the Lads who attended to us and took our orders were so warm and welcoming. The mocktail? Amazing!!! Oh we really had a good time here, would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed a lovely pre-Christmas catch up at Jimmy Badgers, with fantastic cocktails, brilliant food and delicious wine. Service by Ruaraidh was friendly and attentive, definitely five stars from our party!

Was really busy but service was very efficient. Nice Christmas atmosphere. We tried a lot of the tapas style dishes and they were very good. The selection of drinks available was great too. Would highly recommend.

Would recommend booking but we were very lucky to get a table. Satuday. Perfect service. Tasty cocktails i.e french martini, pornstar, appletini. Small plates of 3 haggis bon bons with clapshot and sliders of 3 tasty burgers. Already looking at making a new booking.

3 of us, walk in, got good table, attentive staff, cocktails were outstanding and cheaper than closer establishments. Ordered 3 small plates which were delish. Haggis and 2 sliders. We will be back. Keep up the good work.

If mansplaining is your thing then this is the place is for you. Came for a few nice drinks only to be bombarded by a hyper bartender throwing random information at us. All we wanted were a few quiet drinks. If they replaced the badger looking fella then this place would be 5/5. Lass behind the bar is onto something good. More of this please. Hate to give a bad review but the small scruffy bartender just ruined the almost great experience.

Food is insanely good. They also make a local cocktail of the week that’s very nice. Have I mentioned the food is amazing? Highly recommend

Best wings I've ever had, and I don't usually like wings! Great service from Robyn & Alex. Only thing I would change is to get Guinness on tap, but that isn't a deal breaker. Highly recommend.

Had friends in our group eat the night before without a reservation. When we went we were turned away at the door. Restaurant was half empty too. Too many places to eat for that kind of service.

I never would have thought a 1920s themed bar would be something I'd find in Inverness. Prohibition meets the Scottish love for Whiskey. But here I am in Jimmy Badgers. Never one to turn away from a Gatsby bar, I went in with high hopes and left with even higher adoration. Jimmy Badgers had amazing drinks, a great atmosphere and all tied together by incredible food. I got locally caught and sourced fish with copious amounts of cocktails. If I could say one thing it would be to get the 'Tommy Gun' cocktail. The price was a little above average but they made me an offer I couldn't refuse so it was worth the money.

I booked a table for 6.00 pm, fully aware that "Your table will be booked for 2 hours for parties up to 6" we were a party of 2. We ordered drinks and 5 "small" plates, which arrived quickly and was good. However, when my wife returned from the toilet, I asked for more drinks, only to be told that we only had the table for another 15 minutes, it was 6.44! She then went on to say that we could have drinks but was insistent we had to finish them in 15 minutes. My wife asked about having the table for 2 hours, she looked at watch and gave an audible 'sigh' and then went off to talk with a colleague. She returned, without our drinks, and informed us it was OK because they had rearranged things. At this point, we decided to leave as we did not feel welcome in the establishment. It was only then that she said sorry. I do NOT think it's acceptable to be audiblely sighed at by someone who doesn't know their own policy. Just plain rude.

We went to inverness for dinner without booking which was a mistake. Admittedly this place was our plan z PURELY on how it looked. It doesn't look great from the outside to us (2 women in our 30s) it looked a bit like a pool bar/wannabe dodgy night club from the outside. Aside from the luminous lights inside it was actually super nice . The food was cheap and reasonable for the price. The drinks were excellent with a wide cocktail menu. Best thing was the staff. There were 2 young guys who really went out of their way to make sure we were OK without being too attentive. We couldn't stop telling people how nice the staff were and they helped make a night which had disaster written all over it in to a great one.

Excellent tapas with great wine. We loved the quality of the tapas accompanied by a Chilean merlot. The ambiance is very good. Nice music and good service. Highly recommended.

Incredible food. Highland burger was absolutely perfect, macaroni was delicious, garlic bread and chips were amazing too! The strawberry daiquiri was unreal. Service was super quick and our waitress was absolutely amazing, so friendly! The decor was so nice too. Loved it

Food awful... I'm local and this was worst food I've had in long time. The main which was steak was brought out with starter. We said no not till starter done. Returned clearly reheated 20 min later covered in ROCK salt and butter! Took another 10 before chips arrived and 10 min after this the sauce! Waiting staff excellent. My advice... The Highlands have great restaurants BUT NOT JIMMY BADGERS..

Fabulous cocktails, great service - well done

Very poor customer service, booked a table as when we went the previous week they said we had to book. When we arrived they seated us without checking a seating plan. Our table was just in front of the door which had the wind blowing in and it had a uneven balance we saw another table which was also for 4 people at the window away from the draft so asked to move. The girl went to ask the manager who said no as it was reserved I said our table was reserved also did the people request that specific table? She checked with manager who said they would close the door . If you want business ie several cocktail and a couple of meals you lost out as we left and won't be back . Your loss I think.

Went here last week for lunch after hearing good views about the food . Wasn't disappointed food was fantastic as was the service. Tapas style small plates with plenty to choose from. 3 plates with 2 drinks £42 ,was well worth it. Definitely going back

I ordered soup of day - cream of white onion and truffle. Wild mushroom risotto, cauliflower, chips and black tea. Soup of day - the best soup, what i ate in my life. Really tasty. Congratulations. I ordered more, but kitchen was closed. Wild mushroom risotto very tasty. You can see, it is made from real wild mushrooms. Cauliflower was not tasty for me. Chips were tasty and i want more. We were walking around town looking for a place to eat. We made a big mistake of not making a reservation in advance everywhere was booked. But we’re so glad we were able to get a table here. Steak and mussels was incredible! Soo good

A fabulous place to visit for some delicious cocktails! There is an excellent list of cocktails to choose from, with lits of different bases. We chose an Old Fashioned and an Appletini, both were very easy to drink!! We didn't have food this time, but we will be visiting again to try it out!

Best Burger anywhere in Inverness, absolutely perfect especially the extra smoke bacon, prices really competitive for the Quality, gets a bit noisy when busy but fantastic views over the Ness .

Staff friendly and attentive chef is obviously talented, our food was flat iron steaks chips cherry tomatoes and pepper sauce cooked to perfection one medium one medium rare, juicy and flavourful, sauce was punchy with soft whole peppercorns, chips were delicious as were the on vine roasted tomatoes. A filing meal served with a bottle of merlo which was deep and full bodied. We will be back it’s a good idea to book a table. We have already recommended to family.

Really cool atmosphere inside this restaurant. Basic and/or too sugary cocktails. Decent food. Wish more restaurants posted what time their kitchens closed as we definitely accidentally rushed the staff, but they accommodated us. Music was too quiet for how little people were in the restaurant at around 8.45am, would have appreciated a livelier vibe for the end of an evening!

1 hour ticket time for 3 small plates. Overly salty foods. Lamb/Feta spring rolls were pretty much inedible. Devils Margarita, was overbearing on the use of tajin (Mexican chili and lime salt) Opted for beer and ciders. No order, whatsoever, in expo. Dishes apparently go to whichever table the chef felt like cooking first. I won’t do this again.

Fantastic place. Crazy selection of cocktails. The small plates are amazing. The haggis pakoras are a great introduction for haggis newbies.

Excellent steak, probably the best I had in all of Scotland. Service is a little laid back and slow, but super pleasant staff, clean, overall an excellent experience.

Stopped in here for some lunch after Etape Loch Ness. Had the Mushroom Risotto, Maple Carrots and a Glass Pinit Grigio, and a side order of bread. The only desert they offer is in the form of Alcohol. Enjoyed the experience and the polite and welcoming staff.

Extremely disappointing. Not well managed.

I wanted to share my updated review here because I’ve seen my previous review, that I have since removed, posted on the Jimmy Badgers social pages which I think is poor judgement. Since posting the previous review I have heard and experienced very poor etiquette in the treatment of people and customers at Jimmy badgers and I unfortunately cannot support this place anymore. Until they are able to figure out how to treat people I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Visited here for cocktails recently after eating at a nearby restaurant. We were very lucky to get a table as the place was very busy at 9pm on a Saturday - so I’d definitely recommend booking if you want to guarantee a table. Lovely ambiance...

Great cocktails, expensive night if you take the wife, but she loved it

A nice cocktail bar, with a good selection of cocktails on the menu, but also able to make others that are not listed. Good tapas menu as well, although we didn't try any ourselves. Nice decor, good service.

First time here, was absolutely amazing. Friendly staff, really nice decor and some drinks menu not to mention the food selection . Was only drinks we had, 2 shots and two cocktails each for 4 was £100. Worth every penny! The shot of the week vodka fudge made with fudge from the shop next door which was incredible. Tasted far to much like sweets and not booze so was dangerous as we could have easily had more. Can’t wait to come back.

We were a group of 6 and were looked after well. Very different bar to most you will find in Inverness but really great vibe and feel in the place and staff were superb.

We couldn’t get into this bar last week as it was really busy, but managed to get in last night. Lovely decor and ambience, with good music. No bar service, it’s all table service which was actually really nice. Great drinks menu and good priced!
