JJ's Cafe in Highland

Perfect cozy cafe, wonderful staff, and they had a vegetarian option for the standard breakfast with “vegetarian haggis”. They even steam up the milk for the tea. Lovely.

We got two chicken burgers, coffee and a dessert - everything was wonderful and good value for money. Very kind staff.

We had 4 different cakes and each one was absolutely delicious!!! There was a lot to choose from and we could hardly decide! Great recommendation!

Every time we take a trip to Scotland in our van we always make Fort William our first point of call because of its lovely views but also because of JJ's great breakfasts. They honestly do the best brekky and always do the best eggs! The portions are huge and I love the cosy cafe. Love it

If you have ever seen "My Cousin Vinny" there is a scene in a small diner in rural Alabama here the options are Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. This place had very similar vibes to that, but in a good way. Plus, there was a very impressive book swap that I used to exchange some books I brought from home.

Great local cafe, we were the only tourists there. Plenty on seating.

My family of 4 stopped here to eat during our driving trip around Scotland. We all got traditional breakfasts, which were delicious with big portions. The service was very good and we got our food fast. That night, my wife realized that she had lost her fanny pack. We contacted JJ's Cafe and they told us that they had found it at our table. We were already back on the road by then, so there was no way for us to return to Fort William to retrieve it. We asked them to ship it to our house in the USA, and they did! I would go back to JJ's Cafe for the good food and service alone, but I would ABSOLUTELY go back for the opportunity to support a business like this whose owners and employees care this much about their customers. Thank you!!!

This is a gem of a cafe in a hidden location easily accessible from sustrans 78 bike route. Delicious breakfast. Would definitely go there again and recommend to others.

Great place for breakfast. In addition to the Scottish breakfast, there are plenty of homemade cakes. There are also plenty of books to read on the sofas or for a book exchange.

Excellent value ! The breakfast for big eaters at £10 is really complete! With vegetarian options 😊 The atmosphere is very pretty, a bit 70s', sofa, carpet and books. I highly recommend 😊

This place was wonderful. The service was excellent, food cooked very well with a minimal wait and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I'd recommend this to anyone passing by. In addition the home cooked cakes are delicious and at such good value! Do not miss out.

We had breakfast here because we saw it had good reviews and vegetarian options. We were very satisfied, good Scottish vegetarian breakfast, good service, I didn't give it a 5 because we didn't love the coffee and the price seemed a little reasonably high, but I suppose it's common in this area. If I return it is very likely that I will repeat.

Take out or eat in. Soup and sandwiches, bacon butties, coffee/tea and cake. Opening times 8-2pm Tuesday - Saturday. 9-2pm Sunday.

We stopped by in desperate need of a coffee and got rewarded by the BEST cake ever. It was so good we returned the next day only to get another delicious slice of the crackwell cake.

Ok place for a breakfast or quick lunch. Good prices. Unfortunately a little slow and pretty basic food, but good parking and if you're on a budget then it may be just what you are looking for. Also dog friendly, so was good to be able to take dog in.

Great wee Café stop just outside Fort William on the Road to the Isles. All day breakfast and the pork and applesauce rolls are signature dishes but check the soup out too. Ideal stop on the way from the west coast to Skye, Mallaig, (Harry Potter country remember) and Inverness..

Friendly staff, solid food and good prices. The coffee here was also pretty tasty. Food was prepared fast, ideal for a quick breakfast so you can get out on the hills. Would definitely return

Tucked away on the corner by Farm Food this cafe is an unpretentious venue where you can grab a coffee and cake or, as I did, a bacon roll (as well). Bigger meals exist! Veg out on a sofa or sit at table. Plenty of parking.

I walked in and almost walked out! Very dated and a bit dark, but boy the food!!! Amazing food only had 1 meal as leaving the next day but brother that lady can cook. Would have been nicer if bread was better but I’m not picking the home made cooking was better than I had eaten all week in the hotels!! Someone needs to put some information in the tourist information centre.

This is a decent enough cage to stop off at, reasonable prices. The child's meal my daughter had was a generous portion. I had the pork roll special with stuffing and apple sauce. I felt it lacked in the air sauce area with what appeared to be a tea spoon of it in the bin

Food was awfull. Sausage was mush in armoured skin. Only part of breakfast passable was bacon. Surroundings in cafe were dour to say the least. Avoid if you can

Sorry to report this place is tired and run down. The service was the same. This cafe runs a takeaway service that seems to take preference over the service to seated clients. It's a dark, shabby interior and does not inspire confidence. Staff were quiet with no smiles, eye contact or welcome - not a real problem but we are all used to a more welcoming service nowadays. Two coffees took nearly 10 minutes to make and tasted more like Nescafé even tough they were made from a proper coffee machine. The breakfast - (scrambled egg on toast and a bacon & egg buttie) took 40 minutes after ordering to arrive and was nothing special. We left feeling somewhat disappointed and short-changed. The one positive was plenty of parking but I recommend you visit the High Street for better, quicker and cheaper options. Sorry to be negative but that was our experience!

Hands down the worst breakfast I've ever had service was appalling staff were rude didn't feel welcome bacon was well under cooked and little do they know there is four sides to a sausage complete waste of money and time highly recommend a visit needed from Gordon Ramsey to sort this place out!!!

Looked decent but ordered two breakfasts, staff pleasant. But food was not good, potato scones burnt and too well done, hash browns had been killed, Lorne sausage was like boot leather, rest off it was great but just not worth what we paid.

Very quiet when we pulled in as a quick stop off on a road trip. It has a small book exchange and interesting nick-nacks everywhere. Definktely looked like it would be a cool place to sit down, but unfortunately these facilities were closed temporarily during the pandemic. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and the coffee was good, but the paninis we ordered were overcooked and very hard. I would very much like to come back when it fully open though.

Good quality and simple snacks and meals, we had bacon sandwiches and the ingredients were high quality. The cafe is full of bric a brack and collectible toys, a nice homely atmosphere.

This seems like a nice place, staff was very friendly and the decoration was nice and cozy.

We ate here twice when we were in town. Great food with generous serves at affordable prices. I especially enjoyed their beef chili and their potato scones! They also have lunch boxes available for takeaway if you’re off to explore the surrounding area for the day. Definitely recommend.

Worth a visit. In 3 days in Fort Williams, we ate breakfast here 2x and lunch once. The food is good and the portions are plentiful. Feels like a family-run place - in a good way. Aside from the regular tables, there are couches, big comfy chairs, and lots of books for passing the time. They've created a nice place for people to hang out and we heard the owner addressing various patrons by name, so repeat business must be good.

My kids love this place with its kids corner. Very relaxed feel and good food!

We wanted to have nice warm breakfast in the morning, JJ's is just the right place to go to. Good portion size and very good customer service. There's a seperate section of kids toys, which kept my toddler busy so that all of us could enjoy.

Great little local Cafe. They serve breakfast and lunch. Had the sandwich of the day - brie, bacon and onion chutney. We were all very happy with our tasty food. Place is very kid friendly and has a small play area and a book exchange. Staff are very friendly. Sad I didn't have time to taste any of the good looking deserts.
