Utopia Cafe in Highland

My wife, myself and our dog Thea visited here when starting the NC500. The decor, staff, food, quality, and service were all fantastic. Scrambed egg, hot salmon and avocado were delicious. Great coffee to. A hidden gem!

Popped in for coffee with my partner and decided to pick up some of there homemade sausage rolls they had for our lunch. All I can say is they are DELICIOUS!!!! All the staff were friendly. We were just passing by today but noticed the food other customers had and will definitely stop in for lunch next time.

Black pudding and scrambled eggs on toast from the specials menu.. cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back for more. Brilliant staff and first class chef.

Tucked away in the back streets this cafe is a gem, we arrived at 10.30 and it was relatively quiet. We ordered flat white coffee, delicious and creamy. The brunch did not disappoint, we had Burrata on sourdough with pesto, and scrambled egg on toast with pesto and parmesan, the eggs were wonderfully soft and more than enough to satisfy! All delicious and in a wonderfully relaxed environment.

A lovely little place, great relaxed space, delicious food and friendly service. Highly recommend. We didn't have the cakes as no room left but they looked great. Dog friendly too.

Well worth visiting. Great coffee and fabulous cakes- the bagels and salted caramel tarts and the black forest cheesecake were delicious! Will definitely be back!!!

Our second visit to the Utopia Cafe (with pooch) didn’t disappoint. Very warm welcome, clean and professional. Not busy but a steady flow of customers. Was able to park outside. Tried different things this time and enjoyed them very much. The cakes were very delicious.

Went in for a coffee after our walk, were made to feel welcome, had a second coffee then noticed what another couple of ladies were having for their lunch, it looked amazing so we stayed and had I think it was the ricotta cheese on mashed avocado on sourdough bread, real tasty, definitely going back for the sweet variety, lovely, attentive staff, nothing is a bother

Would never have known this gem was here unless my daughter recommended it, as we would normally go into the city centre for a weekend lunch stop. However, you must make the effort to find Utopia. The staff were so friendly, the décor is modern and interesting, and the menu had plenty of choice. I opted for the hot smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and avocado on sourdough toast - delicious. Daughter had whipped feta and avocado on sourdough toast, which she loved. The atmosphere was lovely - the place had a real buzz about it. We'll definitely go back!

As a long-time customer of Utopia, I was absolutely delighted when it re-opened it's doors. I've been in for brunch and for takeaway coffee. We were served our food quickly after ordering which was great since we had our toddler with us too. If you're after delicious food (with a menu to accommodate all), amazing coffee, chilled vibes and an all round lovely visit; Utopia is your place!

A warm greeting and very nice surroundings, quick service and all very clean. Dog friendly which is great. Reasonably priced. They are hoping to increase things on menu soon which will be a plus. Would definitely be visiting again and would recommend. Parking could be difficult at busy times. Our first visit but not our last.

This was by far the best brunch I've ever had, my other half too.... We had Eggs benadict and eggs florentine. So much delicious flavours!! I hope my compliments got passed on to the chef when I asked the waitress to pass it on. I've not made it full 5 stars as I felt the service received was very dull and not much customer service skills. But other than that, bloody amazing and will return!!

Strange experience when going for snack at 3.00pm on a Saturday. Immediately met by a smoke filled room with acrid smoke in the air. I thought their kitchen might have been on fire but it was obviously a lack of proper ventilation which in Covid times seems unusual. We were advised they had closed the kitchen already ,4.00pm was the advertised closing time and they couldn’t offer food only drinks and cakes. Given I had given up smoking a number of years back I thought it best to save my lungs and depart. I’m sure the food is very nice but even if we had been given the opportunity to sample it I don’t think we could have held our breaths long enough to enjoy it. May venture back in summer when the door is kept open.

Great find, enjoyed a tasty brunch. No issues with gluten free choices. Relaxed surroundings and friendly staff. Dog friendly ( we didn’t have a dog with us but enjoyed seeing the ones who visited the cafe)

Awesome Breakfast in the Highlands. My fantastic Wife had researched places we could have breakfast and bring our dog. Suggested Utopia and our visit was amazing. Trying to summarise the plus points: swift friendly service, dog and child friendly, good value for money, excellent coffee. We scored full Scottish Breakfast which turned out to be the best full Scottish I have ever had! Negatives, there ain't any! Awesome!

Delicious, original and lovingly crafted food that is a far cry from your average cheese sandwich and lentil soup. Great atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff. We'll be back!

Excellent breakfast , we search up the area for something a bit different and found this little gem in a residential area - actually thought we’d taken a wrong turn. It had just opened and was almost full so a small wait as they were so busy - but was worth a short wait.

Starting coming here frequently after having my baby. I've been plenty of times and haven't found a problem. We're always served quickly (but to be fair I know when is quietest). Love the French toast, both the fruit and kinderella :) coffee is always an amazing standard and love the barista/owners passion for it being perfect. The changing facilities are great, love the padded changing table and the soap smells lovely, there's even wipes and spare nappies in case you're stuck. All the seating is very comfy, can't wait for my next visit.
