Very tasty with large portions. Peanut sauce is special.

First time in The Bon Vivant for me and it was perfect. We went for lunch and the menu was enticing. Our son and daughter in law know the place well and pointed us to the small bites. It turned into a VERY long lunch as the small bites kept arriving and we hoovered them up accordingly,with a selection of beers and wines accompanying them. No way could anyone manage a main course after what we got through 😂 Thank you to our attentive waiter and waitress for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Now I'm off to Google to find a fasting regime!

Have wanted to try here for ages and I wasn't disappointed. Staff were friendly and informative, I felt my med/rare steak was a little over done but otherwise food was delicious. The only thing I was quite disappointed with was the automatic "service charge " of 12.5% on my bill - I was dining alone and didn't have any exceptional requests in my short time there.

Called in for drinks at Lunchtime and decided to go back for an early dinner. Sat outside as we had our dogs with us. Mike came to take our order. He brought out heated cushions as it was getting a bit cool. One of the girls fetched water for our dogs. The food was fabulous, home made Pizza and a Chicken burger with fries. The pups shared the Pizza crust, they enjoyed it too.! Super friendly staff, good location. Highly recommended.

This place was overall fantastic. It was nice to see food not overpriced. Also, it's a little out of the way, so not nearly as touristy as the Royal Mile. We tried their haggis and meat pie, and they were delicious. Make sure to also get yourself a gravity pour!

Este lugar es honestamente genial! Mi pareja y yo hemos venido aquí durante los últimos tres años desde que lo intentamos por primera vez y nunca dejan de impresionar. El personal y amable y acogedor y siempre hay un excelente servicio. La calidad de la comida es siempre excelente. Si alguna vez vamos a comer fuera, el opio es la preferencia. Tienen muchas opciones veganas que están claramente etiquetadas, ¡lo que es súper útil! No puedo recomendar lo suficiente!

Excellent, kind staff that was helpful navigating the beers and whisky. The atmosphere was everything you wanted in a Scottish pub. My first dram of Bunnahabhain, which has become a favorite of mine. Bummed the kitchen was closed!

Teníamos un menú de 3 platos y ambos probaron nuevos platos. La presentación en cada curso fue excepcional y los colores vibrantes de los ingredientes fueron impresionantes. Was taken for dinner by a friend before the football tonight. First time in the place, but certainly won't be the last. Good variety on the menu with generous portions and friendly staff.

Called earlier for a take away pizza, I expected it to be quiet at that time but it was buzzing as always. So good I ate a bit on the way home 🍕 and I still have leftover 🤘🏼

Great, everything we ordered was great, fast service, pub for before or after the meal is also recommended. The hut was full, only a few tourists.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here. Food and service were great. I love Harty's - it's a great local treat for me.
