The best restaurants in Scotland

Usually the best Indian restaurant around but tonight chicken was really tough not enjoyable nan bread also burnt really disappointed

It's an interesting bar design. It's more of a youthful, party-oriented destination. There are a lot of interesting cocktails, a professional bartender.

Food is always excellent . Staff attentive and pleasant. Highly recommend

Just amazing food and a casual atmosphere

We did not stay at the hotel, just stopped in for lunch. It was a wonderful lunch. They do an over 60s special on a Friday. We had a three course lunch and every course was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Food was good, we tried a few appetizers - all very good. The main dish - whole fish (sole meuniere?) with buttery sauce - was a little overcooked and the sause wasn’t complementing the fish. It tasted almost too greasy. I was also not a fan of the interior of the restaurant, it was outdated and tacky. The pictures online show a classy wood interior but in real life the blue painted walls, the velour chairs, and the neon ‘schucks’ letter sign inside are horrendous.

Saints Sizzle, WOW this isnt something you stumble upon often in your life. Went twice in a week to make sure I wasnt over complimenting the food. Met the owner the second time. You only need 1 minute with James to understand the level of dedication he has put into delivering something special. This burger is something you will rarely taste outside of the US. James has taken a simple food "the humble burger and fries" and produced something wonderful. 80 yards form the 1st tee on the Old Course this place has to be among the best located Burger joint on the planet. Cannot wait to go back.

The food it's amazing, the Christmas specials are out of this world and my favorite dish the Scottish stack it's just incredible awesome experience the girls and the boy are super warm and welcoming.

Wonderful place! Booked in a rush but struck lucky. A warm and friendly welcome and the warmth stayed throughout our stay. And the breakfast included the best black pudding I’ve ever eaten. Impressive selection of whisky available too. A short walk to bars and restaurants around Paisley and to the abbey and town hall. Thanks to all at Ashtree House Hotel - other hotels could learn some things from you!

The best Thai food in Edinburgh. We ordered starters, curry and noodles and everything was delicious. Perfectly spiced, comforting and all round yummy. The staff was so sweet, and they offer student discount. A lot of veggie and vegan options too. 10/10 would come back here again.
