A bar staff member was young and drinking on the job. He appeared slightly drunk when pouring drinks, he couldn’t have been older than 20. His breath also was strong with the smell of alcohol when serving our drinks. Quite off putting as you can imagine.
The atmosphere was nice in general but this member of staff and his attitude really ruined it for me. He was young and immature and we even seen him eating takeaway in front of us, very unprofessional.
The building itself was lovely but sadly won’t be coming back due to this staff member.

Hour late now! It still hasn’t arrived, it’s going to be cold and unable to eat after the appalling “delivery time” which has been changed but again still late after the company changing it! This needs sorted out as it isn’t the first time this has happened!!!
Really tasty all round. Had a few Wheelers recently and can't fault. Deliveries are faster these days. Tastiest chicken goujons in town. Loved the pizza, the crust was really lovely and loads of toppings - best "Irish" pizza I've had in memory. The beef burgers have so much flavour. Onion rings and chips have always been great. Bit addicted.
Worst place I have ever eaten in. Might be a 4* hotel but it's a 1* for food and restaurant service. Let's start with the service. Huddled around the till chatting and we waited for ages before anyone came to take our starter order. Got the first drinks order wrong. The starter was blended vegetable soup. Burnt into an inch of its life I'd be surprised if they were able to salvage the pot it was that bad. Then the carvery. The roasties were pale and rock hard must have just been dipped In and out of the oil . The cauliflower cheese wasn't heated properly because it still had the curdled cheese sauce look the Yorkshire pudding were aunt bessis and cold ( nothing wrong with aunt Bessie's but you'd expect homemade in a 4* hotel.) After dinner we must have waited 20 to 25 mins for them to come clear the table. When they did we waited another 20 min for them to take our pudding order. And for a fact 3 other tables complained aswell as us. I swear I will never ever be back. Were normal working class people who expect good food and good service but we certainly didn't get it here. Then to top it all off when paying the bill we discovered they charged for the child's food when under 3 go free. So folks don't waste your money. Stay at home make your own sunday dinner as honestly it would be nicer. Sorry City Hotel you disappointed alot of people today.
Omg I wish I had read reviews before I stepped through the door.
Here in Derry for a hospital visit and needed some nourishment about 7pm.
Had noticed on line that pies were available so thought a pie each might do the trick. Well, asked the young assistant on the till what pies were on offer. She looked at me blankly. Then asked the young man. He said beef and mince. I didn't see any hot pie display cupboard anywhere. He retrieved two pies both boxed and cold from the back. Goodness knows how he would have heated those up
I opted for fish and chips. Noticed when waiting another girl moving oil from one fryer to another in an old saucepan and it didn't look very fresh Picked chicken nougats and onion rings also.
Brought back to hotel. My goodness it was inedible. Swimming in old grease. Everything tasted the same meat is obviously cooked in same oil as fish and oil obviously ancient.
Seriously the owners need to quickly deal with all this and I haven't even detailed everything! The chicken nougats were minute and rock hard.
I asked what a steakette was and girl said battered burger. Hey ho guess where we won't be going again! Disaster

Very disappointing, took 2 hours to get food and multiple phone calls to get delivered, while speaking on the phone with them I was hung up on multiple times, blocked and was told that we had to pay extra upon delivery and when I got hung up on that time the next time I called they tried to bergen with a lower delivery charge.
When food arrived it was the wrong order and cold.
Would not recommend very rude and not good food

this McDonald's never gets your order correct and always has items missing and they obviously dump your food in the bag upside down it's really really disheartening
