Mcdonald's Restaurants in Derry

Absolutely full of brain dead staff who cannot get an order right. Just a waste of Time going here.. Close it down!

Went here 2 nights in a row and the person that was taken my order was very ignorant and didn’t even have the manners to apologise when we got to the window , disgusting customer service , we come there for yous to get paid that this is the service we get , horrible

I've no idea who runs this place but whomever it is, needs sacked! I've been to McDonald's from as far as Asia to the US and you always understand, with its brand, what to expect but this place is nowhere near the same quality and service as others. They are either tidying up margins, blatantly ripping people off or the delivery drivers are doing some scamming. Trust me on this; never order through JustEat. You're just going to be chasing refunds for missing items in orders. This is by no means an exaggeration but every time and I mean "EVERY time", when I order something for my kids, there is always something missing that's been paid in advance. They must employ complete illiterates or just don't give two damns about ripping off a paying customer. Trading standards needs to look into this place on the Strand Rd but I can assure that we will never part money with them again. Do yourself a favour and order local. This place is an absolute mismanaged pit and hopefully the people in town will wake up to it sooner rather than later.

IV had one too many bad experiences with this place. Orders are never right for delivery. I waited (patiently) for almost 40 minutes, then only half of my order arrived in a huge bag (barely any food in it) with burgers dressed the opposite way from how I had asked.... Delivered by Uber eats who were just as useless...all I get is a £4.50 refund on a meal that cost over £8....all I got of it was the juice and a burger I can't eat!

This place really needs to look into how things are run there staff never get an order right and/or 90% of the time leave items out when ordered for delivery!

Was looking forward to a festive chicken burger as it sounded incredible but there were none, you would think as it’s Christmas they would know to order more and at least be prepared, Then asked for a McFlurry but there also were none. Finally when the food came we were missing chip from all our meals. What a joke !

I’m a wee bit of a regular here as I’m always nipping in for a coffee in the drive thru. Most of the staff in this Mc Donald’s are to be commended as some of the finest ladies and gentlemen in this fair city. Plenty a shiny soul is there on the other side of the intercom on a daily basis to greet ye and dish out the redonkulously good value cappuccinos. I’m pretty surprised by the negative reviews below as they’ve never once messed up my orders and I’m never out of the joint. A definite massive thumbs up from this caffeine mad mucker. Qware class service all round.

Usually the better of the McDonald's in Derry, but today was the last straw got a drive-thru everything ordered was correct unfortunately the quality was well below the usual, first off the milkshakes seem very inconsistent with too much flavouring or too little this time was too much other times I get a coke but its extremely flat most of the time from sitting the chips where cold and the burger was awful as seen from the photo looks like it got stuck and they scraped it up anyway and served to the customer, lack of care and service hope they can fix the issues was going to give 2 star but couldn't justify it so they get 1.

Worst place in the town. F**king banging service from the girl on the phone discusting. Im looking at your order now after ordering 2 hours ago and then she decides to cancel it. Take it up with uber eats now not my problem. Slaving for minimum wage too

Fancied a quick burger and fries on way to donegal. Just as you would expect their big mac to be. Fast service.

Everything you would get from a normal mcdonalds easily accessed from the city centre, floor was messy and slippy

Awfull service. Consistently wrong orders. A manager who doesn't care if you don't get the food you ordered and paid for. Worst McDonalds in Ireland by far. Don't use this place . It's a dump.

I used to call in to this McDonald's "restaurant" every Thursday on my way home to get a treat for the kids. All told my order would average £40. Never again! Every single week since Christmas (now June) they have fouled up the order. The staff are incompetent and have no pride in themselves never mind their work and the management are no where to be seen. I now no why McDonald's is so profitable, they take your money for food they do not deliver and pay their hired monkeys peanuts!

Ate out of here twice and will never be back. Chips which are come and not seasoned... burger looked and tasted as if it was sitting for 20min. Straight in the bin

Quick warm fresh are all words that should be associated with McDonalds but this is the only one in Derry that these 3 simple words apply.Now bigger.only criticism would be the drive through having at times priority.

Tuvimos una experiencia tan mala en el Waterfoot Hotel con rudeza que fue una gran alegría ver caras amistosas de todos los lugares McDonalds. Llamé para conseguir comida para llevar y cuando volvimos a la casa los 9 nuggets de pollo en la bolsa. . . grrrr. . . . telefoneé para informarles de mi desacuerdo y estaba hablando con uno de los gerentes, me preguntó dónde vivía y cuando le dije que me dijo que me los dejaría en el momento en que terminaba el trabajo y me llamaría, 10 minutos más tarde. , Un golpe en la puerta. . . . . mis nuggets de pollo. . . . . que servicio. . . . . que buen chico. . . . Llame todos los miércoles para conducir a través del servicio que empeora gradualmente. Después de pagar la comida, me sirven bebidas y luego me piden que vaya a un estacionamiento y espere mi comida (no la conduzca) el miércoles 13. En febrero me pidieron que aparcara en una bahía para discapacitados para esperar mi comida (no iba a suceder). Tuve que esperar para una comida estándar y vi cómo 5 autos eran servidos y pasaban antes de que llegara mi comida. Puede comenzar a ir a Wheelers

McDonald's is the same everywhere but when the staff are very friendly and helpful it makes all the difference. Always quite busy but they move through the queues quite well.

Typical Mcds food was slowin arriving no relish on burgers and the place needed the floors swept. Most unlikely to be back.

Busy Saturday lunch time, meal was served quickly and politely, and very hot and tasty, and the coffee was well up to McDs usual standard.

Hemos comido aquí varias veces y he encontrado en cada ocasión la comida ha sido frío. No comer aquí a menudo, pero imagina un Mcdonald's y ahora de nuevo. Esta noche pedimos nuestra comida y pedir una comida caliente cuando recibimos era frío. Cuando nos quejamos nos dijeron que nuestra solicitud de comida caliente, no había sido transferida!!! Every morning before work my husband gets a coffee. Really friendly morning staff, in particular there is a girl with an English accent. She's so pleasant and helpful!

Muy normalito McDonald's. La comida no era la mejor posible. El aparcamiento es particularmente difícil. próximo a un coche garaje pero mal aparcamiento.

Esto no es el Mc Donalds habituales que vamos a en Derry pero en raras ocasiones nos encontramos aquí, la comida es la misma que en todos los Mc Donalds así que no hay mucho que decir.

No había estado en este Mc Donalds en mucho tiempo bueno ver que es tan limpio hoy, como entonces recuerdo felicitando al director de que en ese momento.

Never eat in this type of place, running late to get back to meeting, efficient staff, job done, no complaints. Good option when eating on the run.

I visited this restaurant on the 22/03/2014 with my mother and son. My son loves McDonalds and we normally go to the McDonalds in Coleraine. However as we were going to smyths toy shop we decided to visit the McDonalds on Strand Road.When we arrived into this McDonalds my mum had to clean the table with wipes we had with us before we sat down. I then had to ask one of the attendants to clean the floor at the table we wanted to sit at. The attendant was very nice but she said that at weekends things can get busy and that's why the floor was so dirty. These standards would not pass a public health inspection. My mother proceeded to order our food as I put my son into a highchair. She ordered the food and returned to the table without it as she said the attendant told her it would be a while. There wasn't that many people in for us to be waiting that long. The food itself was ok ur basic McDonalds food however I have ate in better McDonalds such as the Coleraine McDonalds. I did have the sundae Caramel which was lovely. I know that I won't ever be back at this McDonalds. It's not the worst McDonalds I was in but I won't be back.

Called about 3 mins past the breakfast deadline and was told no more breakfast..fair enough! Then when I placed an order I was waiting 15 minutes in the drive thru. I was told to park in a reserve area for a few mins Only because I had to get the attention of one of their staff. I made them aware i I was waiting so long. Eventually my order was brought out to me by a member of staff who was cleaning gum etc of the pavement. Incredibly poor service.

I have been to this McDonalds restaurant a few times but this is my first review on it. I went to it again yesterday and the place was packed. Despite the queue of people, I didn't have to wait long to be served. I made my order and I had it in my hand within a minute. The tables were cleaned as soon as the people stood up so getting a place to sit was no problem. When I was sitting down facing the tills, I watched the McDonalds crew do their jobs. They are a well oiled machine, so fast at what they do. The food was great too, my last McDonalds was in New York and it was nowhere near as good as this one. I will go back to this restaurant, and not just once more.

Compared to its sister restaurant in Foyleside, it's very much a let down. It's not so much the food, as it is the staff. You are usually kept waiting with no acknowledgement from staff whatsoever. When someone finally attends the till to take your order, there's no ''hello'', and no ''sorry to keep you waiting''. Although the one in Foyleside is a lot busier, it is also a lot friendlier. Just ask the kids?

It is what it is, cheap, fast and greasy. I have discovered that I can eat with my family for not much more ££, but a hell of a lot tastier and healthier in restaurants around the City. But if you are out with young children who don't behave well in restaurants this would be suitable once in a while.

Fast food is what it is but service quick and always with a smile. Good parking facilities and great drive thru
