Bridie's in Derry

Food is unreal but forget sauces all the time. So frustrating as it’s getting every time now. Last 3 times we ordered food not one but 2 sauces are missing as you also have to order an extra sauce as they don’t give you anywhere near enough. And the last 3 times we get left with one between us both. Just annoying.

Slow wait for a bag of chips, five behind counter cooking two customers waiting 20 minutes. Northland road bridies is too slow.

Today Monday 14th Augest got food with my mate around 10 minutes ago and chips are soggy and we asked for seasoning and we can't taste salt nor vineger

Was going to order on the app for collection but was only given the choice of picking it up after 30 minutes so rang to be collected ASAP instead. On the app the price was £11:90 and in the shop it was £13:40. I'm a regular customer but I'll be taking custom somewhere from now on. Bridies Rossdowney.

Went in or a £10 family deal and Got home and realised I was charged £15 rung up and asked and its up to 15 big jump from £10 absolutely shocking wouldn't recommend

Always friendly staff, I don’t have a picture but the buy one get one free chicken burgers in bishop street Bridies is like absolute heaven, make sure you go! If you get a large chicken box good luck finishing it…

bridies chippy in hatmore, WORST EVER!!! ordered a collection and waited long enough before going in to go in to have to wait 20 mins to even be acknowledged at all and they didn't start even make my order till after asking me was it a collection!! i go to eat it , me starving and the chips were raw and bap was hard. don't waste your time especially if your gonny ring for collection there's no point lol

Easily the best bridies in the town! Would go out of the way to go here instead of any other, staff are friendly and the food is quality for a good price

Went to Bridie's in Hatmore for fish and chips, never again.70% batter and burnt at that,chips cold all ended in bin. Need to teach staff to fry

Usually buy a lunchtime special for £3.50. Called in today to find it's now £3.95. That's over a 10% price rise. Ridiculous when it turned out to be a smaller portion than I ever got before. Food was lovely but sorry Bridie, at those prices I will not be returning. I should point out that I don't know if any other prices have risen.

Went to Bridies Hatmore tonight.. ordered chicken tenders. Took them home and when I opened the bag they were burnt black on the outside and raw in the middle... I will never grace the door of this chip shop again... staff in here are a disgrace and so unhelpful. Only thing I can say is the sooner it closes the better!

My husband and I were looking for good fish and chips and found them here. The young lady who was working the shop was delightful. We received 1 order of fish and chips which was plenty for both of us. With plenty of salt and vinegar added it was delicious. We are in our car by the River Foyle. Made for a fantastic memory on our vacation

Ordered a delivery from Bridies Whitehouse yesterday 8/9/2018. A scoop of chips consisted of about 8 chips and cost me 1.00.. a chicken fillet burger that you wouldn’t have gave to a dog and battered sausages that were as black as your boot. Took said delivery back down to them and the girl looks at it and goes what’s wrong with that... hello are you blind?? Never will darken the door of this place again!

Ordered a delivery last week from Whitehouae, and it was disgusting!. 80% of food went in the bin. Chips were inedible. This place used to be lovely and food always top class!

When I walked into bridie's strathfoyle I was met with staff cursing and screaming at each other. Ordered large chip that was small at best, not cheap either. Rough looking spot.

Bridies is a local chain, the food is great here and the staff is very good, why do i keep going back the food or the staff ?? You can phone your order ahead as well.

Had their chips they were, cold and floppy. The chicken fillet burger was a disgrace, the meat was so over cooked it was hard, the batter was greasy and disgusting. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't go back to complain as I had a meeting, hence the takeaway, a quick tasty bite I thought! I was really cross. The staff however, were very friendly, that was the only good thing about the place.

Beautiful food at a very reasonable price. The food was great quality and the prices were very reasonable. its a take out - chippie. Fish Supper or Burger recommended. However one minor improvement required is that the staff member was eating chips from tray / chip pan fryer as she was preparing my food.

Customer service!!!!!.. we were ignored and treated with contempt. When we arrived we placed our order, and part of the order was placed in the warming cabinet. then about 20 portions were made up and a wait of 20 minutes followed, with no word of explanation. After that more chips were required and after they were half cooked they were added to the old soggy fish portions from the cabinet and served with no word of explanation for the wait, pure ignorance, and rubbish cold under-cooked food. this is Hatmore Bridies and it is the Worst take-away, i have been to. i wanted to walk out after about 15mins, i wish a had,.... never never again!!!!

Estábamos atrasados para una reunión y pensamos que el estrés de cocinar y darnos un capricho a pescado y papas fritas. Estamos nos sentimos que nos tomó esta decisión. La comida era asquerosa. No estaba muy caliente y extremadamente grasiento pero lo peor fue que parecía ser re preparado varias veces. Comimos casi nada y si no nos viajado más allá de nuestro encuentro me he regresado a quejarse. No era barato y es evidente que las familias a comprar. Nunca compraría nada aquí de nuevo y no lo recomendaría. Venga a Bridie es ¡no puede ser tan difícil de hacer buen pescado y patatas fritas. Quizás el propietario necesita gastar un poco más de tiempo visitando las tiendas individuales y ver lo que está pasando. Mucho mejores tiendas de chocolate en otro lugar.

bridie's do a very nice curry chip buttie - one of the nicest i have ever tasted, their chips would definitely be one of the best in the town aswell

Review refers to Bridies Laburnum Tce . Used to call in here the odd time but haven't been for a year or more. Food and craic was always good. What a change. Awful service, disinterested, surly staff and greasy overcooked chips. Fish was overdone too and was about 40% batter. Wasn't even busy ( now I know why).

I like all types of food and mainly like to cook fresh at home, but like all people I like the odd Chip Shop dinner too. With Bridies situated at the top of the street it always seems the handy choice however I will not be back.Bridies nor any chip shop in Derry in my opinion can cook a chip. They are always either under cooked or over cooked and greasy. Many times when you open the bag of chips they are broken, stuck together with grease and really unappetising. Just because they are cooked in the fryer is not an excuse for excess grease. There really is a market in Derry for a proper Fish & Chip shop who cooks a decent chip!! But this new year it wont be hard going off the take-aways and starting a healthy life style because its not really tempting at the end of the day.

Great fish and chips and a whole host of other items to tempt you. The staff are all friendly and courteous. You get good Craic.

We love fish and chips from Bridies( Buncrana Rd ) Huge helpings of crispy fish and lovely chips . Battered sausages also nice . Can get very busy at weekends so be prepared to wait

Bridie's in Bishop street is the listing here but this review refers to their Hatmore branch which doesn't seem to be on TripAdvisor.I've been here a few times and won't be back. I think once in the last 5 visits the food has been acceptable. And on other visits it has been pretty bad.Just had some of the most greasy and badly overcooked fish and chips in a while. They aren't really cheap either, so they can't use that as an excuse for poor quality.Avoid this place unless you're after a bad experience.
