Hillbilly's Fried Chicken in Derry

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Have been in twice this week, and food has been top class! but special mention for the guys that work in there, they were friendly & helpful.. Great to see young people working hard, the customer service was OUTSTANDING! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a BBQ chicken BLT wrap meal and I really enjoyed it. The chips were very nice. The staff were very friendly. The place was clean. Low star for the atmosphere is because there wasn't one and I wouldn't expect any at midday on a Sunday

Such a lovely place to sit in, so warm and inviting. The food was amazing, best chicken burger I ever had with great chips. Staff so friendly. Will be coming back 🥰

When I walked in, the girl serving was sitting in the chairs that are for customers on her phone. A few moments later a girl walks into the premises, grabs a can, straw and sits down like she owns the place.. Chicken was nice, chips were soggy. The gravy used to be amazing, however they've changed the recipe to a bisto gravy granules replica for £2 and the can of coke I recieved definitely wasnt stored properly as it tasted horrible. Not impressed, and for over £10 I'll be going elsewhere..

Under new management and food is great very tasty and the new decor is excellent

Chicken was like rubber tracks from a digger, chips where soggy, milkshake didn’t taste like milk , expensive . Recommend Letterkenny hill Billy’s far better

I was dining with an adult with intellectual disabilities, who ordered the deluxe burger meal, we had to wait longer than expected and when the meal arrived , it was a burger, no drink or chips included, when challenged, server tried to ignore me, but other assistant noticed and handed out a drink, but no chips. Pulling a fast one on a vulnerable adult, not nice

Good chicken, KFC style. Dodgy hamburgers. Just wish they would fix their bathroom....🙄

“Staff can only use the toilet” when my girlfriend is sat there ready to pee herself. Budget KFC targeted for drunk ones coming back from nights out

Rubbery, soggy chicken with a dry inside. Chips were grand.

Service wasn't great, ordering with a group and had to wait a few minutes in between every order. The boss man called me chief though which does bump the overall experience up a tier. Overall a clean resteraunt, chicken portions were less than anticipated however the chip portions surpassed expectations.

KFC or Burger King is not that far…

Disappointing… 🙅🏼‍♀️The products in the burger were of poor quality. Some FastFood chains would be better off not mentioning them… No toilets available for guests.

It's a fried chicken place, so won't rate the atmosphere. Chicken's tender and juicy. Horace says the gravy was ecstasy.

Was in on 14th April and felt I needed to leave this review simply down to the girl working, she was fantastic.. friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble , that kind of customer service is hard to find these days. Food arrived quickly and was gorgeous three adults and a child left well fed and happy 😊

Staff are so unhygienic. More interested on what's going on outside the place. Staff need a uniform. Food is not fresh reheating the chips and sending them out pour greasy.

If your hungry you'll get what u need here....

Frankly, go to the competition, the big fried chicken franchise. The chicken tenders are really not great, the breading is soft, not at all crispy and half removed. To avoid.

Do not order the boneless bucket it was 29.99 and the chicken is miserable and the chips are half full its daylight robbery

Food in here is lovely. Especially their chips. Nice and crunchy. People crying about the tablets being covered in sauce. So what? Nothing stopping you from getting a cloth and wiping it clean yourself if it bothers you. Tablets were clean when I was there today.

Food was hot is all I can say about it but that's it. place was filthy dirty and the tables were covered in sauce and all sorts we had to ask for a cloth to clean it ourselves and were handed a stinking dirty soaking tea towel while the two guys behind the counter played on their phones.. should have turned around and walked out there and then but the kids were moaning about being hungry and it was raining so didn't want to walk anywhere eles (should have made them) never be back through the doors of this place half cooked chips soggy chicken it was terrible only giving it a 1 star so I can write a review -5 is what it should be

Food took an hour and a half, forgot half the food, wouldn't do a refund, rude on the phone. Lettuce was brown, place is a dive.

Myself & my little niece just love this place. Friendly service & the best chicken in Ireland. The chicken is how KFC should to be, before it all started to taste of nothing! Though they really need to put the heating on, the place is a tad chilly & the tables and chairs need more of a wipe! Sticky tables & seats are not what you want to see & it's not a difficult job to maintain!

Counter staff unfriendly. Both chicken and chips tasted awful, chicken stank and chips were stale. Everything had obviously been sitting around for a long time. I'm not a fussy eater, but I couldn't stomach it. Best to avoid!

Visited here to take advantage of Eat out scheme. We had the chicken fillet burgers they were delicious in fact my husband maintained they are the nicest that he has ever tasted. The chips were also delicious really crispy. Staff are so nice a pleasure to visit. Varied menu will most definitely return.

Bad service and food not that brilliant

Service has gone down hill since the inception of the restaurant. Started off good and is currently incomparable to any other chicken place in the city. Chicken is incredibly greasy and heavy, chips are way too salty, just to name a few complaints.

We just had a bucket deal and I have to say it was gorgeous and delivery was quick to get here. Thank you HillBilly's

Its been a while since I ate here but I have to say fancied a take away for tea and was not sorry I chose Hillbilly's. This is the nicest fried chicken I have tasted. Forget about the famous chicken takeaways try this one, food was excellent and staff outstanding. Prices are very reasonable eat in or out great place.

Very delicious chicken, fries and gravy.Once you step into this restaurant you will smell the wonderful aroma and have you salvating for the first bite. Service is efficient, polite and timely within consideration.

ABSOLUTELY love the food here. Me and my partner's food of choice when we are in town. Highly recommend the 5 piece chicken tenders meal and a gravy dip. (Edit) I must warn anyone who is looking for some food from here, do NOT order delivery, I have never gotten my food any sooner than an hour's wait and as I am writing this, I have been waiting 70 minutes on my delivery. Estimated delivery time 45 minutes, no, please change this to one hour. Waiting time is absolutely ridiculous.

Advertising late night deliveries but don’t deliver at all as no drivers being the excuse. Don’t advertise a service that you can’t deliver. Pathetic

Used to be great chips are always burned and cold when deliverd now not worth it if you cant make chips whats the point its the maine thing you sell

Tried the chicken tenders and fries. Good portions and hot. The fried tenders were more on the soggy side, but still tasty. Ask for dipping sauce. A quick and reasonably priced meal.

Waited an hour an a half before ringing to be told the order was on its way, half an hour later (now 2 hours after ordering, and the shop now closed) I rang back to be told that the driver had called and knocked and got no answer...first of all I was sat the past 2 hours in the living room in plain sight of the front of the house patiently waiting, I live on a quiet street and at no point did any car pull up out my front nor was there any knock at the door, the driver claimed he knocked several times (the dog also would have went mad) why was I not phoned if the driver couldn’t find my house or if he was knocking and got no answer at the end of the day that’s why you leave your phone number...poor service and full of lies!!

Went here for the first time today. The girl taking the orders was completely unfriendly, totally disinterested and in my opinion should not be dealing with customers. She doesn’t have the personality for it. The food was okay but when it was brought over to the table, there was no salt, a plastic fork or even a nipkin on the tray. Bad service. Note: the place was completely empty while I was there. Surlely they can do better. Will not be back.

It's ok but dear god everything is salty, the delivery is pretty awful and will quite happily try to dander off with about £3 if you pay in cash saying they have no change; and if you're here late at night check your chip bags as they give quite literally half a scoop of chips to drunk people quite regularly. Also this places food hygiene rating has been up and down like a yo-yo going down to a 1 out of 5 at one stage, just somethings to bear in mind if you're new to the town.

The staff are friendly and the service isn't half bad to be fair. The food is unfortunately a different question The chips are not great, more care and attention needed when cooking them. Eaten outta here twice, neither of them by my own choice, and both times they've disappointed. The chicken is either like microwaved cork, or has water running out of it; the 'gravy' tasted like its half a bottle of vinegar in it and how hard is it to make warm chips?

We went here last night i had the chicken gumbo and my friend had the duck. Food was amazing and the service was good. Would defo revommend this place.

Very poor quality food the chicken was dry and the batter on the skin was rock hard and fell off. Taco chip was just a mess. Prices aren't exactly cheap either.

Staff are ignorant, worst place in Derry to eat, don't go there!
