Sunday lunch for a meat eater and a veggie. Absolutely bloody fantastic. We haven’t had a better Sunday roast, ever. Total credit to this place for the food, service, atmosphere, decor and location. But the food… we will be talking and raving about this place for a long time. Bravo.

We turned up today after struggling to find somewhere to eat that catered for vegans. This place was fantastic, the food was freshly cooked, fresh ingredients and delicious. We had 1 chicken Japanese curry, 1 tofu and vegetable Japanese curry and 1 chicken udon noodle soup. The broth in the soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. I’d highly recommend this place.

We cycled over 10 miles to visit this entity which apparently has not been a tea room for over 3 years. It is still showing on the Herefordshire publicity material and cycle guides as a tea room. The photographs on Trip Advisor are also very misleading. There are currently no tea rooms in Pembridge.

Oh wow! This place hits the spot in so so many ways! The service is brilliant (all the staff are super friendly, attentive and efficient) and the food is great. You might have to queue to get a table (we didn’t as we arrived fairly early) but the wait is well worth it. I had the avocado on sourdough bread (topped mine with two poached eggs) and it was fabulous-the kids had pancake stacks….light and fluffy with the best ever berries, and the son and his OH had the eggs Royale which they usually have. Luckily we visit often from Whitby and I think this will be a regular thing. Can’t wait to try an evening session…… I have to say I’m glad to have found somewhere in York that does great food at reasonable prices as we have ditched Betty’s for good (overpriced and mediocre) and Robinson’s will be our “go to” place from now on.

Second time of dining at Sotirios Bar & Restaurant, absolutely first class service from all the serving staff friendly engaging, nothing is to much trouble. We were a table of four, everyone throughly enjoyed the experience the dishes were amazing starting with the seared scallops with coconut and for mains, Kleftico, Roasted Aubergine and Magret Oriental all excellent and beautifully presented. We shall return to try their Sunday roast after seeing and sampling a slice of beef which was kindly offered to us. Can't praise this Restaurant enough!!

We decided to visit the Witching post last minute , contacted the bar and there was no issue at all , seated us at 7.30pm. Food - outstanding ! Bangers & mash ( local beautiful sausages ) Hubby loved the curry & our 14 year old son loved his parmo. Portion size very good and we all absolutely loved all 3 meals tonight and our son loved the fudge cake tonight. Service - absolutely fantastic. Owner is so funny & constantly ask you if you’re ok ! Bar staff - very good and so friendly.. Prices - good We have visited many pubs / restaurants locally and around the North Yorkshire Moors and this has to be the friendliest pub we have visited. After an amazing weekend celebrating our son’s wedding at Danby Castle The Witching Post Inn has definitely made our last night memorable. Thank you for the amazing food , friendly and cozy atmosphere and finally the outstanding service from Peter & his team . Cannot wait till we return.

I was in the The Marlowes, starving hungry and came across Yugen restaurant; A young male greeted me whilst I was reading the menu on display. After taking a seat I ordered the Korean chicken burger and fries. The meal was delicious and hot and arrived in no time at all. I will be a regular customer from now in a place where the staff are lovely and take great pride in their food and what they do.

We visited for Sunday lunch and the whole experience was excellent! The food was beautiful and just how you’d want your roast. Crispy potatoes, delicious rare beef, gorgeous crackling, succulent pork, awesome cheesy leeks, tender lamb, super tasty gravy (and lots of it)…the list goes on! Desserts were really impressive too-the sticky toffee pudding was immense, as was the gluten-free syrup sponge, although top billing went to the chocolate brownies as voted for by our three young boys. Top notch service from everyone and a really warm welcome-a brilliant lunch!
