Ordered a Special fried rice, sweet and sour with battered chicken balls. The special fried rice was perhaps the driest, most tasteless special fried rice I have ever ordered. The battered chicken balls were almost all batter, it wasn't terrible but was bland. The sweet and sour sauce was the only redeeming factor, it was okay.

A superb hidden away Chinese take away. Certainly the best Chinese take out in town and Keith is a top bloke.

Chop Chop at the Hippodrome Casino offers a fantastic Chinese dining experience in a vibrant yet relaxed setting. The decor strikes a perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to unwind, whether you're visiting the casino or just in the area. The food was a real highlight. The chow mien were incredibly smokey and delicious, full of that rich, authentic "wok hei" flavor that really sets great Chinese cuisine apart. I also tried the salt and pepper tofu, which was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and flavorful on the inside. To drink, I ordered the Dragon’s Gate mocktail, and it was amazing. Refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented, it paired wonderfully with the meal. Service was impressively fast without feeling rushed. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff remained friendly and efficient, ensuring everything arrived hot and fresh in no time. Overall, Chop Chop delivers a brilliant combination of great food, excellent drinks, stylish decor, and speedy service. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for quality Chinese food in the heart of London. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

After a shockingly bad experience, I’ve dropped my rating from 5 stars to 1, and honestly, even that feels too kind. We booked a table for 10 people for iftar and showed up 30 minutes early to make sure everything ran smoothly. We placed the full order straight away, even though not everyone had arrived yet. You’d think that would give them plenty of time to get things going. But no, 40 minutes later, we’d only been served drinks, and when we asked how much longer the food would take, the waiter casually told us the chef hadn’t even started cooking yet. Meanwhile, we watched delivery drivers coming and going with bags of food. So clearly, takeaway orders were getting priority over customers sitting right there in the restaurant. Absolutely ridiculous. We ended up paying for our drinks and walking out to find another place to eat. After coming here a few times before and actually enjoying it, this visit was a total letdown. Won’t be coming back again, and I recommend anyone else to go elsewhere other than to visit this establishment.

Very delicious and authentic noodles車仔麵. Its so good that I have to buy it back to London to give my boyfriend a try! P.S. their fans since I was in university. It’s one of my must go restaurant when I’m back to Brighton for conference! Will come back for sure

Simple and authentic - an extensive menu to choose from and everything looks amazing. We had the handmade dumplings (restaurant recommendation) and the BiangBiang Beef noodles - hands down some of the tastiest meals I've had in London. A great little find - good value for money with nice portion sizes, fresh ingredients and service was friendly.
