Was little busy but had a fantastic time at Christmas party dinner with friends an all staff was lovely an helpful an food was delicious

Had the opportunity to pop into flying legends York Clifton moor today ( 17/03/25) and unfortunately can definitely say we will not be returning. Ordered a pub classic fish and chips with what was supposed to be a sizzling plate of grilled onions peppers topped with Southern fried chicken with a side of halloumi fries and bread and butter. The fish and chips with mushy peas was very much below standard, the chips was cold the fish was soggy for some reason even though the mushy peas was lovely the rest of the meal was not up to par. The sizzling plate with a side of corn and sweet potato fries was really awful, southern fried chicken that was too crispy on one side and soggy on the other because of the wet, bland cold onions and peppers with the added bonus of the chicken been pink on some pieces with that been said the sweet potato fries was definitely better. Customer service was minimal with no enquiry on allergies and no check back on meals even though other surrounding tables received one.

Good food at a decent price. Can be quite noisy during busy periods as you would expect with most places. During quiet periods it's very pleasant.

Lovely little pub just on York outskirts. We had the Turkey Pie of the day and Seabass. Both of which were delicious. All the staff were efficient and really friendly. We will be back.

In all the 100's of times i have ordered crispy duck i have never had the duck mixed with lettuce. It meant the amount of duck was 1/2 of what you normally get. Very disappointed. If I had wanted a bowl of lettuce i would have asked for one. Sadly wont be going there again and will advise all my friends about it 😞.

It was not a good experience. The food was terrible. Half of the menu was unavailable. What was available was barely edible and unfortunately, cold. You can tell this has been this way a while, as the place was not busy at all for a Saturday evening. We left half our meals. The staff were excellent though, and were very accommodating. Safe to say we'll give this place a miss in the future.

Visit every Friday with my daughter. Nice venue, staff and food.

We were over visiting the university for my son. We stayed next door and went in for food on two nights. The service was fantastic. Warren our waiter remembered us. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was quick and good value for money. Little personal touches made the difference. The chef was Max and as a vegetarian the food was superb. My son ate meat and it was also fantastic. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Pagué una visita hoy 13. 10 . 24 . Es una pena escuchar que el restaurante está cerrando esta semana con menos de 2 semanas de antelación al personal. Debe elogiar al gerente que muy profesionalmente informó del cierre en términos de algunos elementos. puede ser corto en el menú. Es decir, patatas sustituidas por patatas fritas. Preciosa comida, pollo para morir. Y ensalada agradable. Me alegro de haber ido hoy para poder apoyar en la semana final. No es un visitante frecuente debido a estar fuera de la zona, pero he hecho el viaje varias veces a aquí ya que es / era nuestro más local. Espero que todo el personal logre ser reubicado. Recomendación principal al gerente.
