Was served by Molly, very helpful and lovely great food and buy one get one free burgers on a Friday! We will definitely be back again.

If you are hungry adult. expect a 99p Iceland type meal enough for a small child.... the staff are brilliant atmosphere really nice... food I would feed to a pet

Great pub, cheap and cheerful and lovely food. Me and my partner bring our daughter here often for a play in the wacky and then some food after - they do a lovely lasagne! Staff are great and always happy to help. The Manager Callum is also super nice and helpful. Great place will continue to dine here!

We popped in for a beer and some food all right at first, but ordering a second drink there was no staff behind the counter eventually a bartender appeared and just served the nearest customer to him, didn’t have the grace or manners to ask who’s first. We pointed this out to another staff member and took our business elsewhere.

Food is wonderful here but there should be an adult only section. I didn't come for a meal to listen to screaming kids. I wouldn't have sat my kids near all the adults if they were screaming

Sunday dinner with drink £10. Excellent price well worth the price.

We were a party of 4 and from our arrival we had a lovely meal and experience - the food was delicious and cooked perfectly, the staff were friendly and polite. Because we were so impressed I have already booked us in for Christmas Day this year.

Meal was quickly presented and exceptionally hot. Food tasty however the mushroom pie didn't contain a full mushroom was mostly juice which was disappointing.

I was very impressed by the efficiency of booking and the courtesy and welcome we received. As two families meeting together, one from Sheffield and one from Durham, York is an ideal venue and having a Wacky Warehouse to keep the children entertained while we waited for food, was brilliant. We were a party of 19, 16 adults and 3 children and were accommodated in a separate part of the venue so we could all talk and interact freely without disturbing other customers. This had been carefully thought through by the staff there and it was an excellent idea.

Can't go wrong with their £10 Sunday lunch and a drink offer

Perfect, callum, Danny,leah,Jordan and Carol were brilliant, food was so good, definitely book next year, and we'll done to the chefs smashed it, see you next year!

The service was excellent. They had a function on later that evening so lots of tables were reserved but they tried hard to seat everyone that came in. They had lots of staff who were very attentive and checked we were OK. We come regularly and always have great service.

Well what a disappointment to finish our weekend away in York!! The bar staff were friendly however the 2 girls working clearing tables and bringing out food looked like they certainly didn’t want to be there. Rude and arrogant. Get another job girls because you certainly aren’t happy in the one you’re in. The food was ok but the carrots were very very undercooked and we saw quite a lot of other guests also leaving them. The puddings were different when we both ordered the same and when we asked why we were just told ran out of cream. Surely you either apologise as you’re putting it down on the table or ask us beforehand. The toilets were awful too. The word legend in the pubs name certainly needs to be changed. I certainly won’t be visiting here again and they certainly didn’t want to hear my complaints !!!!

Fabulous food.. I havnt been to the flying legend for years... The quad burger was to die for with salt n pepper chips topped with man n cheese.. We couldn't finish it so the lively staff gave us some foil to take them home.. 100% going to come more often xx

Always good value for money and amazing food for the price yes its not mitchelling but these chains arnt you get what you see . The staff are always so helpful and are usually ran off their feet. They do seem to get flack off the undesirable customers who also make an awful mess . But most appreciate them . I would say it is by far the best pub chain place to eat in York easily.

All good had a nice meal not overly busy good value for your money didn't have to wait long and nice healpfull staff, easy to find on maps, and nice place to take the family, I took my niece out as I live in Northamptonshire so it's nice to treat her once in a while didn't have any problems getting a table at short notice it was a week day/ evening so might be different at the weekends 😀

Just been in for lunch at the Flying Legends. Had a small hiccup with our order but the Manager was incredibly helpful and apologetic and resolved the issue immediately.

Right well I booked a table for a 16th birthday.the service was bad from go .the food come out cold ! Accused the 16 yr old with me Of swearing 🤬 the manager lied and was out of order !! I was told I would get a refund for the bad food . experience was bad here !!!

Would never visit again!! Only given 1 star as I couldn't give none!! I was in a group of 8. My own meal came out freezing cold as did all 3 of my children's meals! They were sent back 15 minutes later they were brought back out luke warm!! One meal was missing completely but the sauce that came with it was sent out which went cold, when asked for a replacement as it was no fault of our own they took it away and microwaved it leaving thick skin on the top so still couldn't be used. We all ended up eating at different times due to their negligence! We ordered at 8pm finally getting our last order brought out at 8.50pm my children were starving! The manager was pleasent and helpful but the waiting staff were rude rolling their eyes because their food was not even satisfactory!! Definitely avoid

Came in for a quick Monday night grill. Food was good value for money. Natalie was exceptionally welcoming and friendly.

Ordered of the super special menu- tandoori chicken sizzler came piping hot on a skillet, my friend ordered the New York chicken the breast was massive the whole menu had great value with deals every day. My server Callum was so attentive recommending me the new cherry kraken rum and asked if I’d like fries to go with my food Natalie brought over our food with a nice warm welcome. The pub is clean and well kept although could do with some investments. I will certainly be recording it to my friends.

Pretty standard quality for a chain restaurant

As a university student, I first came across this pub after going to the Vue next door. Since then it has become a ritual among my friend group to go here before/after going to the cinema. The food is good value and has always tasted amazing, and the staff have the perfect balance between casual and professional. I have since graduated from university, but came here both times I returned to York (from London) to visit my postgrad friends. Overall, this is definitely a 5 star pub and I would recommend.

Recently visited here from the moment I walked in till I left it was by far the best experience I've had. A young man named callum was serving on the bar he was so bubbly full of life and never stopped. He chatted with myself and my friends and recommended fab places to visit whilst in York. He bought our meals across too our table leaving a card thing for us to give feedback well callum it's a ten from len 😂😂honestly the place was so clean his staff are an asset too the company as is callum he explained about the meal choices and the drinks deals and hands down he does the best baby Guinness ever 😀 so thankyou and yes we did make it for breakfast the following day back to the legends its not called the flying legends for nothing as that's all the staff do fly and never stop so keep it up and we will be back

Been here quite a few times and have not had any issues previously. Unfortunately 3 of our party ordered the roast beef on Sunday 13th October. The beef was awful tough as my Army boots, i struggled to eat it infact you couldn't. The other food was fine just seems the roast dinners are a let down there at the moment. However I can't fault the service just the Roast Beef.

Cheap and cheerful lunch out. Being Saturday we saved approx £8 on meals in the Saturday deal. We had the crown of burgers (big meal) and the tandoori chicken sizzler (healthier option) and both were tasty and filling. Service was great and friendly. Would come again :)

Do not order the Sunday lunch, turkey is frozen re heated Bernard Matthew’s style and disgusting, mash is smash Vegetables under cooked not al dente ( undercooked) All lukewarm warm too, not great at all sadly.

Food was really good and really well priced, they had a pool table so after a hard days work it was good to get a game of pool

We are here last week and decided to come again for the 2 for 1 burger Friday. We really enjoyed it. Being a vegan it's not always easy but our vegan burger was very tasty. The chips were ok. I asked for a glass of water and it was presented nicely with ice. The service was great. We might now come back for Wednesday's curry deal, it's very tempting!

Good for a quick, cheap meal. Food - big portion, low quality. Service - friendly but slow and constantly confused. Atmosphere.... good if you like drinking, shouting, and kids running everywhere.

Waited with only 2 people in from me to be served only 1 member of staff on the till, she was taking orders doing the drinks and serving ice creams, the 2 people took over 10 minutes to get their orders done then another member of staff came and I was told it would 35 minute wait for food so we left and went elsewhere. I can't comment on the food but service for a Sunday lunchtime was useless.

Visited today ordered a rump steak from the mix it deal from the menu. The steak really fatty when mentioned this to the manager I was told they would mention this to their supplier!!! Asked to take some chicken strips home they said yes and put some foil on the table for us to wrap the food in!!!! All in all not great I must say all the staff were very pleasant. We were offered an ice cream on the house! J

We visited as a mixed group aged 4 to late 50's, something for everyone, reasonable prices, good choice and great staff. All 6 of us enjoyed the experience very much.

Burger was really dry husband had mixed grill ran out of chicken so gave him extra onion ring. And I mean Ring (1) steak over cooked staff had no interest when we told them won't be going again

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal such a good price £44 for a pint 2 pints of coke and fanta, and 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals. Rapid service food was spot on. Seated straight away. Nice one thanks.
