Totally disgusting, I bought a steak bake, it should be called a gravy bake. There was one piece of steak in it.

Queued for 15 mins to get a bacon baguette and when finally got to counter was told they didn't have any. This was 10 mins before they stopped doing baguettes. Could not even be bothered to let the queue know they didn't have bacon so the customer could change choice or walk away. 😡🤬So annoying when staff couldn't be bothered. In fact they went down to one person serving so this one member of staff could sort out his food before he started his break at 11am.

Should be 4.5 as there were no serviettes to hold your food in. The food was great, friendly staff, great value. There were a few seats at tables but we felt they should have been further apart.

Visited shop in York city centre today for a quick bite to eat and drink as I think Greggs food is great value. I was served by a scruffy unkempt “supervisor” with brown teeth who refused to put cream on my hot chocolate and said that nobody should have done previously ...lighten up !! And think about customer service and kindness in these troubled times .... 1/10 for you today Greggs

Visited the pavement store and have done so few times in the past and haven't had a problem. However, when I visited today I was served by Charlotte who had a rude manner towards myself and other customers & quite frankly didn't look like she wanted to be serve us. Shouting, rolling her eyes when I asked a question, I felt like I was a nuisance just being there getting a snack. I rarely post on TripAdvisor unless I feel it's necessary either for positive reasons or negative....unfortunately this one is for the latter.

A bargainous family breakfast while holidaying in York. Sausage sandwiches, teas and coffee for the grown ups and OJ for the kids. With full tums we moved on.

Visit often enough to grab a breakfast bap, but my last visit the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I left the shop with a smile on my face and feeling pretty good, which, along with the sandwich, really helped with my hangover! Kudos to the staff!

I guess this is a British chain. Stopped in while on a Globus tour with a stop in town. Pastries and lots of grab and go foods. Nice place for a quick lunch or snack if you are in town visiting. Nice place for a coffee and some hot and cold lunch type snacks. Just the right place to stop to fill that hungry spot. Clean and tidy bathroom for custormers as well.

Had some Chinese suppliers visiting for business development... Their first time to the UK... Sunday... Let's go to York for the day, it's not bad for Yorkshire... Supping a few pints, showing the the castle wall etc... informing them how it is much better than that great wall naff they have back home... Now they get peckish. Grab a Gregg's !! They chuffin' loved it... 4 sausage rolls for the price of 3 they had... EACH! I told them I was going to review the place, they wanted 4 stars because they nay had chopsticks... Who eats a steak bake wi' chopsticks 😂😂 5/5 👍👍

Greggs is what it is. This is a sit down cafe too though which was useful for a group lunch on the run. Sausage rolls, a good range of sandwiches both hot and cold etc. Indoor and outdoor seating.

We called into Greggs for a quick refuel, while shopping at Tesco Clifton Moor, as it's situated in the car park. It's good to have a sandwich type cafe for a change. This self serve cafe was very clean when we visited. There was a member of staff mopping the floor and when a customer's daughter managed to spill a drink all over her table and the floor, that he had just mopped, he quickly stepped in to do a clean up with a smile and without complaint. Amazing. We had coffee and the steak bakes. Good place for a quick pop in.

If you're not hungry when you join the que, you will be by the time you get served, EXTREMELY SLOW. This Bakery thinks its a fast food outlet, it isn't!

Not open 24 hours anymore since COVID, but open from 6am until 12am except Sun. The ATMs outside are available 24/7, and the store is huge, everything you could possibly want

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at a great price. I love the no phones, no internet, no music, no TV rules.

Popped in as I honestly was desperate for the toilet. I noticed they had a cafe so was very happy to purchase something or even grab a cute little gift on my way out. I was immediately bellowed at across the room by a scary looking woman who said ‘we don’t have public toilets, that is what you’re looking for isn’t it?’ I said that I was but I was happy to purchase something too (I totally understand business owners view on this however it is a ladies time of the month, I was desperate and I verbalised that I was willing to purchase something too). She told me that I was a liar and I wouldn’t buy anything and clearly wasn’t going to tell me where the toilet was so I used the disabled quickly (no one else was around). I said that it was disgusting to deny another person the human right to use the bathroom. SHE TOLD ME THAT I WAS DISGUSTING!!! Wow. I used the bathroom and calmly came out saying that I had full intentions of buying something and as I’m from a small historic town myself, I’m more than happy to support local businesses. She proceeded to aggressively tell Me that I wasn’t going to buy anything so feeling intimidated I left. To which she followed me to the door, then started taking photos of our car through the window. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! VILE

Great place to eat. A little bit off the beaten track, so less busy as a result.
