Great service. Yummy bacon sandwich.

Didn’t have any food but this guy couldn’t do enough for us or the people around us,he never missed a thing, people waiting online, other people looking for toilets,train platforms, such a decent outstanding guy, defo had his finger on the button, quick, attentive and polite, massive shout out to Ayomide, what a bloody decent kid,(I’m 59) manners of a gent and the attitude to go with it❤️🤗

Had a quick pint before catching my train home. Nice enough pub. Unfortunately, the toilets were locked 🔒 something about showing your receipt to the bar staff to get the key. I was in too much of a hurry to bother.

A very clean pub that serves food (breakfast & lunch menu) within York Train Station. They also have 3 gaming machines. The beef burger with cheese & onion rings were spot on!.Great service. Thank you, Favour

I had a lovely time in the DoY on Friday. Due to storm Eowyn, it was really quiet but I had a lovely chill. Seats & tables were very clean as were the toilets and they had a good range of beers

Burger was good, the portion of chips were on the small side and the Aubergine shaped plate doesn’t hold its balance well when you are trying to cut food. Disappointed to find no customer wi-fi available. Wouldn’t have normally left a review as nothing particularly good to say apart from the burger - but there was a QR code to leave a review so I did.

Wow, imagine getting into your, starting off here and you're met by a filthy establishment. Not a good start to your day in york. Black mould all over the windows in the ladies toilets is a health risk. This place needs a good clean.

Solo estuve una vez y no pedí comida así que no puedo decir cómo es la comida. No hay Stella en el grifo, pero tienen Doom Bar (Yum) y Sea Fury. No he tenido eso en años. Muy sabroso. Era bastante tranquilo también a pesar de ser justo después de año nuevo, lo que fue una sorpresa. Personal muy amable y me lo pasé muy bien. Si soy feliz siempre doy propinas pesadas aunque no necesito hacerlo, es tal como soy. Volveré, sí. La próxima vez traeré algo de comida también. No es perfecto, pero no puedo quejarme demasiado, ya que solo vine por una pareja rápida.

Came in last Tuesday for a quick pint before the train…was a good break from the cold…barmaid was lovely… gave quick service I think her name was sophia. Food was decent but a bit underwhelming… good pit stop before train!

This place is awful 🤣 the guy served me with a very unhappy face and then charged me £12.50 for two juices and a plate of chips 🙈 a very small plate of chips may I add. I’m not surprised by the amount of stars it has.

Staff trying their best, but beer didn't seem to be kept very well. Couple of pints had been left at our table and ours were pretty rough. Round Christmas market time, must be a nightmare trying to keep up with folks grabbing a quick drink coming in or out of the station, so feel for the folk working here.

Awful pub-Worst pint iv ever head flat and no head! Pubs full of dirty glasses and unclean in general! Atmosphere worse than Old Trafford! Avoid at all costs unless you want a week in hospital! Don't waste your money!

£9+ for a small glass of warm white wine! Rip off. And no soap in the toilets / hand dryers not working.

El personal ignorante, yo y mi hija nos acercamos al bar, nos paramos frente al joven mientras discutíamos lo que estábamos planeando beber. Él no nos dio contacto visual ni nada de lo que luego caminó por el otro lado del bar. Luego miré la caja y dijo cerrado, así que asumí que estaba de pie en el lado equivocado, así que me moví, también el joven varón estaba de pie hablando con otro colega y de nuevo sin sonrisa de contacto visual o el saludo básico, así que salimos. Debe estar ganando mucho dinero si puede permitirse dejar que los clientes salgan por la puerta.

Para un pub de estación es muy bueno, y mucho mejor que otros que uso en la red. Los precios, el ambiente y la selección de bebidas son razonables teniendo en cuenta que está en una estación y, por lo tanto, dirigido a la costumbre masiva. Lo único malo es que a menudo no hay suficiente personal, lo que significa una larga espera, particularmente cuando venden café de una máquina que puede tardar siglos. Siempre espera una cola.

Was warmly greeted by Favour behind the bar and food was lovely. Had a bacon sandwich which was delicious, fab service

Terrible place. Tables, chairs were filthy. Whole place needs a total refurbishment. Go to the Station Tap , much nicer.

Llegué al DofY mientras esperaba nuestro tren. El personal era encantador y el restaurante estaba limpio, con espacio y una buena gama de comida y bebidas.

I was served by the rudest barmaid I've ever encountered. No eye contact, dismissive and rude. One if her colleagues actually asked her "why are you always so angry?" as I was waiting at the bar. When the same waitress brought my food (chips) she threw the plate onto the table and walked away. I tried to ask her a question as she did but she deliberately ignored me. It seems like the place is run by a bunch of grumpy teenagers. So very disappointed. Avoid at all costs.

Loved the vibe in the pub and Sophie was really attentive, friendly and went out of her way to make sure the meal was enjoyable - would recommend popping over!

Called in before getting the train home. Asked for 1 large Chardonnay with soda. Was charged £9.29. the place was tatty and the wine more expensive than a nice restaurant. Will not be back.

Clearly states open at 10am for breakfast service but staff just waved us away at 10.10am. If thats how you treat potential customers we won't bother spending our money with you.

Decent breakfast food. Atmosphere was alright considering we were there at opening. Sophie was brill! Running the place on her own, giving accurate food times. Even with the place filling up after 11am, she never lost her cool and was impeccable with her customer service. All the best!

I came in to have some food before I got my train back home. The gentleman on the till was super lovely. The food was amazing too. Highly recommend:)

Advertised that it opens at 10am, we were left standing and a few others till 10.15 before it opened. Young lass serving gave no apology whatsoever to why it was late opening. No teaspoons for taking teabags out the cups either. Very poor

Pasé anoche a tomar algo mientras esperaba un autobús afuera. Al entrar sobre las 6. 30 pm, uno pensaría que estaría muy ocupado, ya que la estación de tren estaba muy ocupada, pero no. Me sirvieron de inmediato y unas 3 personas más allí. Nada de atmósfera. Como estaba tranquilo miré a mi alrededor. Un montón de vacíos en las mesas que estaban allí todo el tiempo (45 minutos) el personal acaba de charlar entre sí en el bar! Seguramente podrías hacerlo impecable en ese tiempo. Sin embargo, lo peor fueron los WC! Muy cansado y maloliente en las Damas, pero su esposo fue a casa de los hombres. Sé que los botines de los hombres son generalmente malolientes sin embargo dijo, si querías un NO 2 , no hay asientos y eran simplemente asquerosos 🤢. Antes de escribir esta reseña, quería escribir directamente, pero no podía ver quién era el propietario del pub, así que miré en Trip advisor. Me di cuenta, hace meses alguien dijo lo mal que están los botines y una respuesta dijo que estaban acabados. Adivina qué, meses después, aún no se ha hecho. Vamos DOY, te estás perdiendo un truco donde estás, júntalo y podrías tener un gran lugar para visitar. De momento, gente de otros lugares pensará, ¿es esto lo que York tiene para ofrecer? 😩

We walked in, asked for the menu and the lady behind the bar pointed to were they were, no greeting no smile didn’t speak so we decided not to spend another minute in there and walked out, awful customer service.

Awful place. Toilets seats hanging off. No toilet paper. Looks filthy. Inside. No way would I eat in there. I have to laugh at the reviews here. I can't believe people have eaten in this pub. And the Managers response is always the same. ..... we will look into it. Clearly they are not looking into it as it is still a filthy dump.

Called in to have drink as early for our train. Sorry but this place is a mess, chairs are well worn and dirty, tables uncleared and prices totally over the top. The place could do with a deep clean.

poor customer service was in there on 1st august 24 lost my phone someone from bar must of picked up as tracking shows last location there staff missreble and talking amongest themselves waiting 15 minutes to get served shocking service drinks not good dirty place avoid at all costs better pubs elsewhere

Fab service from the staff, very attentive. Favour is very friendly and helpful UPDATE... Whilst waiting for my train which was delayed I was served by favour again who is always happy to see you. I tried the full English this time and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. I will definitely return for a breakfast 😋

Came in at 7.55 before our train. The dirty looks we got for walking in the door like how dare we. Staff throwing paper cups at each other laughing. Says close at 9pm however one of the staff bellowed over to another are last orders at 8.10? Replies yes Not the first time we’ve been made to feel uncomfortable. Tables dirty and glasses cups all over. Seriously need to sort it out.

Bog standard vinegar-scented railway station bar where you’re required to pay for your pint of Tetley’s bitter before it’s poured.

Came here for our first drink before York races. Great atmosphere, the bar was busy but the staff did their best to get us served quickly. Typical, I chose the drink everyone was having Guinness, but it was worth the weight.

Unusually quiet tonight so feel this review isn't accurate. Nice, cold drinks served with a smile. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

One of the worst loos I have used. Code to get in, massive Helmans mayo under one of the urinals half full(not mayo haha) loo seat hanging off and hand dryer not working. Not very welcoming I’m afraid. Nice pint though 🤣 and staff friendly

I visited this place last night and it was the dirtiest bar I have ever visited. Appalling.

Had cooked breakfast here, it was fantastic, coffee was great too, staff were very friendly and attentive and the price was better than other places. Well done, 2 customers that will be returning. Summer was really helpful and polite.

Service super slow and rude. ‘What else?’ Is what we got asked. There were no manners involved. TV far too loud. Food put on the end of the bar near a bottle of bleach and a dirty cloth. Just a shambles throughout our visit. Absolutely would not return and will tell everyone not to visit here.

Nice pub, didn't come for food, quick pint before train home. Only downside was no toilet roll in the gents l, had to ask for toilet roll and wasn't overly busy.

Came in for glass of wine and coke/ Pepsi whilst waiting for train . Like everywhere in York things are pricey . Young lady behind bar ( 13/06/24 at 3:30 ) very bubbly/ smiley personality very likeable

Not too bad a pub, right next to the train station. Not cheap by any stretch but prime location to get the commuters. Only had a tea and a coke. Decent place to chill before your train comes.

Drinks ok, nice stop off while waiting for a train. However the toilets are absolutely disgusting. Dirty, toilet seat hanging off, door lock not secure, poor decor. This really does need attention ASAP
