The best restaurants in Micklegate York Yorkshire and The Humber

Visitó con su nieta para participar en el evento de artesanía de otoño. Fuimos a almorzar y aunque solo era una patata de chaqueta cada uno con una olla de té ... estaba delicioso! Las patatas eran muy suaves con pieles crujientes servidas con ensalada crujiente fresca. El mío estaba cubierto con sabroso atún cremoso y nieta tenía frijoles quesos, comimos y disfrutamos mucho cada bocado. Mi elección de té fue Earl Grey y era hoja suelta tan llena de sabor. Pedí una olla de agua caliente para acompañarlo y poder disfrutar de otra taza... y no fue ningún problema. Con todo, un tiempo especial encantador con mi nieta . . ¡Volveré! .

I visited with my mum and the food was Absolutely delicious I had the cheese and jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, rocket, salmon and avocado superb and the premises are lovely remember to take an ugly mug with you in exchange for a coffee

We booked Christmas meal for 6 on 20th Dec 22. We were given a room to ourselves which was nice , our waiter was good very friendly. The meal was the worst Christmas meal we had. Turkey fine, the vegetables were rock hard and the amount per person was terrible including 3 very hard runner beans , 5 Half Brussel sprouts ( too hard to put the fork in ( even waiter couldn't) and 2 pieces of another veg it appeared that who ever was in the kitchen had taken the portions out of the freezer and hadn't microwaved them long enough. The desserts were passible but not great , then we came to mince pies, pies is not the word ( one bite) we would use they were not much bigger than a fifty pence piece with a spread of filling no bits just a brown gel. The waiter was most apologetic and offered us free drinks but as there was 4 elderly and 2 drivers the drinks were 4 soft drinks and 1 half pint that didn't equal a lot of money. We paid £179.70 for these meals. I realise that the price also includes wages , heating etc but we have had many meals out and this is by far the worst.

A menudo van al Brunch Wagon y siempre bueno, hoy no fue la excepción. York está tan ocupada con el mercado de Navidad pero tan pronto como te acercas a Samantha te dan una alegre bienvenida y sin importar lo ocupada que esté no pasa mucho tiempo antes de que tengas esos súper culos en frente de ti. He revisado el Brunch Wagon antes, pero simplemente no puedo hablar lo suficientemente alto de él. Como he dicho antes, vale la pena visitarlo.

Elección muy limitada de comida caliente, no hay suficientes sillas y mesas, la gente grosera empujando hacia dentro mientras que otros hacían cola. El personal no intervino.

I'd passed this place for years, next to a laundrette in what is perhaps not the most attractive area of town. By visuals I'd been expecting a real old school dirty British Chinese takeaway style place of the sort of place you might haven seen in the backstreets of northern towns across the country decades ago. But don't judge a book by its cover etc. Nice enough decor inside, its a sit down table service place and the food is actually pretty good quality.

My wife and myself went to our local restaurant on 13th March 2022 after many years of visits and found it as always beyond excellent! We started with a garlic bread pizza style; My wife had the chicken Cacciatoria which was brim full of the most tender chicken in a sauce that was to die for and with beautifully cooked vegetables. She was unable to finish her meal and at the Staff suggestion we had the remaining part of the dish boxed to take home. I ordered the 'normal' Chicken Kiev Calzone Pizza, it was huge!! the biggest I have ever had, and we have travelled a bit; the pastry casing was beautifully made and the filling heaven. I tried my best but could not eat it all...so again brought back home to eat tomorrow. The service was attentive and professional, and we noticed that they made special fuss of the children on the next table. The only sad, nay disastrous news, is that they are closing as the owner is subject to advancing years; they close after Easter this year...great sadness! we will miss it.

We have spent many a happy few hours in this lovely restaurant. The food is cooked to order and is very good quality. Service is always with a smile.

Sin ambiente, decoración barata. Sirve bebidas por error que ni siquiera están en el menú de bebidas🤔 Las alitas de pollo estaban crudas, como en la sangre cruda, así que obviamente basura congelada. Señaló pero no les importó. Personal de menos de 20 años. Nigiri y Rolls - el arroz que utilizaron era muy caliente, no es genial cuando se mezcla con pescado. Lo siento, pero fue terrible... Pero para colmo es tan caro, £ 103 para dos de nosotros y se fue con hambre. York estaba lleno pero este restaurante estaba vacío hay una razón para eso. Pollo crudo, arroz caliente con pescado frío encima. . . Y servida por niños a los que no les importa una presa.

Claramente, el personal no ha recibido su familiarización por estar en Yorkshire - una bolsa de té en una olla de té no logra una “preparación” de Yorkshire! Aparte de eso... el café y el bollo estaban bien.

La pizza estaba deliciosa! ! Buen y amable servicio, ambiente relajado. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Food came late and was freezing cold and greasy, unfortunately this is not the first bad order we have had from this Chinese

Lovely cosy restaurant, fab and knowledgeable staff . Menu was great and the food was delicious. We all had steaks which were cooked to perfection.

Excellent cocktails for good prices

Nice and cosy pub with a coal fire so expect to come out smelling of smoke
