Nice and cosy pub with a coal fire so expect to come out smelling of smoke

Very nice little place in York with a friendly atmosphere with the wood fire in the middle of the teepee. Canadian stand with very good poutines. Good mulled wine that we didn't expect to find but welcome with the early nightfall. The price is nevertheless expensive for a cup of mulled wine, £5.5.

Warning, this place is closed but the maps haven't been updated. Make sure to grab a coffee at the station etc first if heading this way

Big portions, some unusual dishes, tasty and good service

I live and work around York, I went in for fish and chips at 12.15pm, they were not cooked to order, we're cold and probably the worst fish and chips I've had for a long time, they cost £12.00! So expensive too! Just avoid.

Fantastic food and staff. Big mention to Sara (who also helped with our wedding reception the night before) and Michelle the morning after for being so lovely and helpful.

Great place, really friendly and welcoming people, lovely food. The owner shared his Chinese tea with me which was delicious. Thank you!

He estado llamando a The Maltings durante muchos años, y no me había dado cuenta de que mi última visita sería la última. Me sorprendió cuando lo pasé ayer, y vi el exterior escandaloso, y el nuevo nombre - The Dubliner - casi tan irlandés como Jack Daniels! Lamentablemente, los Maltings serán extrañados, sobre todo por aquellos que saben que la palabra "crack" es en realidad una buena palabra del viejo Yorkshire.

One of my favourite pubs in York. Excellent choice of beers. Am yet to sample the food but it sounds great.

Fantastic little place, staff great

Glad we chose to believe most of the reviews as we were not disappointed.Staying on Nunnery Lane we phoned order and collected ourselves. The owner was so helpful and the food was delicious and plentiful. Salad,fresh and one portion of rice did two of us. Excellent value for money. Locals are fortunate to have this place.

Don’t book this on booking.com. We turned up yesterday to find out it was closed so had to book a premier inn. The website shows it’s closed but other websites still take on bookings so we’ve lost £200

Estábamos allí con un grupo turístico, así que no hay elección en el asunto. Está diseñado para manejar grandes grupos de turistas rápidamente, y eso lo hizo. El aperitivo de pastel de pescado frito era en gran parte patata con algunos matices de eglefino. Al menos las verduras y la salsa tártara sabían bien. Mi plato de bacalao al horno tenía brócoli y puré de papas. Todos estaban un poco sobre cocinados. Los postres eran buenos - probé brownie con salsa de toffee y helado, y también probé el pastel de mousse de chocolate. Los servidores estaban bien y trató de acomodar. Parecía un asunto de catering. Yo no recomendaría este restaurante si usted tiene una opción.
