Warning, this place is closed but the maps haven't been updated. Make sure to grab a coffee at the station etc first if heading this way

It no longer exists. One guy at this location said it’s been gone “about 5 years”

Really close to the station, perfectly laid out and as always the food and service is great. Also doubles up as the entrance to a Premier Inn which I'm sure is good too, but can't comment as I didn't stay here (until I visit York again)

Very good Costa coffee, good size, not to busy. Nice mix of seating, and you got the free newspapers to read. Staff was friendly and service was quick. It's in a good location, in the town and just passing. The drink and food was nice, good choice. The free WiFi worked well, and wasn't slow. Very good.

WiFi provided by Premier Inn is beyond awful, this is not a Costa issue it's a Premier Inn issue, if you need to use WiFi go to one of the Costas in town, the O2 wifi is much faster (over 10x) than Premier Inn.

A small costs franchise attached to a hotel, but a good quiet place to work with free hotel WiFi.

The cups and spoons were dirty. Looking at other customers teapots they were dirty too. Unhygienic.

A lone sign ‘50% off’ was displayed outside. Yet the shop looks as dead as a doornail. I Walk through the door into the dark takeaway, no menu to be seen and shout ‘hello?’. A man appears from the depths and reads me a menu from a lone, stained leaflet. I order a chicken, donner meat and pepperoni pizza on a tomato base. Expecting a fast handover as the place looked like it hadn’t seen an order in decades. 40 minutes later I’m sat outside and I finally hear a quiet, lone female voice call out ‘Pizza is ready’. I slowly approach the door to investigate and a pizza is handed to me. However that pizza was warmed I’ll never know. Whether it was with a hairdryer, radiator or a warm breeze on a summers morning I’ll never know. I opened the box with hope of a nice pizza awaiting me. However, I tucked in and it wasn’t right. I can’t quite put my finger on whatever was wrong with that pizza and I guess I never will. The donner meat was crushable, so burnt I could reduce it to a fine powder with a light squash and watch it flutter away into the abyss. The cheese was flavourless and stringy, what type I’ll never be quite sure. The chicken was in minuscule chunks and a 4th mystery meat presented itself atop the soft base. To top it off on my last bite of said pizza I pulled a long black hair from the crust. The rest was quickly discarded into the bin and I can’t say I’d visit again. Memorable in a bad way. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great old fashioned local pub, decent beers, good food and a warm welcome. Enjoyed a couple of pints of the special Timothy Taylor Landlord Dark which was an added treat. We ate fish and chips & a giant Yorkshire with 3 Cumberland sausages, roasties, veg and gravy. All freshly cooked and spot on. I wouldn't hesitate to revisit when back in York.

Really not impressed, coming down at 4.45 , 15 minutes left open, and staff had put all food away and refused to do any hot food. All snacks and cold food were covered up too, had to ask to remove the covers. It's the only place for patients to go with decent hot food, so disappointed. I was taking out too
