Don’t book this on booking.com. We turned up yesterday to find out it was closed so had to book a premier inn. The website shows it’s closed but other websites still take on bookings so we’ve lost £200

We loved our stay at the York Ibis in May 2023. We had a lovely 1st floor room with a queen and two twins. It had recently been renovated and was simple, but pleasant. This was extremely walkable to the Old York Walls. We especially loved the Indian Restaurant nearby. We found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating and kind.

Really good location for the town. Easy walk to all historic locations. Breakfast is self service and excellent. Rooms are adequate for a short stay. Car parking is a problem but if you go down to train station long stay is good . It’s a 10 min walk.

134 Lowther StreetI wouldn't recommend you to eat seafood pie, because it doesn't have any inside. There were only 2 tiny shrimps. There should have been salmon and another fish, but we couldn't find it. There were only potatoes. The one with steak is better. You place the order somewhere else. You buy the drink yourself and bring it to the table. I think it's popular because of the location and environment.

It had the perfect crust not too thick or too thin and was beautifully flavored. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They use organic olive oil, which really enhances the taste. Thank you for the excellent service!
