Don’t book this on booking.com. We turned up yesterday to find out it was closed so had to book a premier inn. The website shows it’s closed but other websites still take on bookings so we’ve lost £200

We loved our stay at the York Ibis in May 2023. We had a lovely 1st floor room with a queen and two twins. It had recently been renovated and was simple, but pleasant. This was extremely walkable to the Old York Walls. We especially loved the Indian Restaurant nearby. We found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating and kind.

Really good location for the town. Easy walk to all historic locations. Breakfast is self service and excellent. Rooms are adequate for a short stay. Car parking is a problem but if you go down to train station long stay is good . It’s a 10 min walk.

3 Lawrence StI’ve been buying chicken kebabs and pizza here for twenty years and tonight my order arrived with no chilli since and no garlic sauce. Apparently you have to order it separately now. I won’t be ordering again.it didn’t even give me the option! Update ordered a pizza last night which was covered in sweetcorn which I am allergic to. Bearing in mind they don’t answer the phone and the reply says to reach out on Facebook this is the response!
