We had a look at the reviews and ordered 2 pizza's for delivery, arrived after 35 minutes after we had ordered at 5.30pm on a Saturday. Both were not only hot but also delivered by a very friendly delivery driver who met us at the gates to our camp site. Order was taken by a very welcoming lady as previously mentioned by other people. To the other people who gave this as a 1 star rating, what planet are you on ? Definitely would use these guys again

Delivery order came it was wrong so I rang the pizza shop they told me it wasn't wrong. So I drove to the shop and gave the order back and asked for it to be corrected, sadly I got the same thing Delivery 30 minutes later I won't be ordering anything anymore very disappointing

The manager is so incredibly rude and incompetent, got half a order the said he would replace the order only to send 25 mins later the chips and source that was missing, the food was cold and rubbish, please don’t use ………….

Completely messed up the order, ordered a plain chicken burger with cheesy chips, got old cheese on my burger and plain burnt chips

My go-to takeaway for a Doner Kebab; tasty Doner meat and great, fresh salad. Glad to have found a place to get a decent kebab 👍

Absolutely banging food, customer service is top tier. Nothing like the other takeaways for miles as it’s so much better, atmosphere is nice and inviting. Plus there’s some banging deals. Would recommend all the time, every time.

Ordered a pizza at 9.50pm, was told delivery would be 40 to 50 mins, called back at 10.55pm when it didn't show, was told he was on his way. Called back at 11.15pm to then be told if he is there in next 5 mins you can have it for free. He turned up 8 mins later. When we told him what the man on phone said , he rang him, the man on the phone said he didn't say that he said 10 mins, (,he didn't) then the bloke on the phone admitted they had forgotten to do our order in the 1st place. Shocking service. Ran by a load of liars.

Have used pizza doner for years. Foods what you'd expect from a takeaway and always been decent. Never had any issues and staff always been friendly. The large combo wrap became a legend at our gaming nights.

I got a pizza with donner meat on as I ask but I ask them for a plan one and your give me with onions As I am allergic , I ask for 2 cans off coke and I only got one can of coke

Best Pizza in Acomb, York. Kebab wraps taste good, as it should be - juicy and tender, not dried up. A loads of options. Delivers within 30 mins, mostly. Highly recommended.

For many years i have used this place and no problem. Tonight i ordered a simple meal and had to wait nearly an hour before contacting them to see where my delivery was I had to speak to a condescending man who continued to call me DARLING throughout the conversation AAARGH. Well thats one long serving customer you will no longer have. However the sad thing is i really don’t think you care

Long waiting time, Food was cold when it arrived and never received our free garlic bread which i got told over the phone you got when you spend £20. Lady that delivered it said to ring back up and they’ll send it out but when I did They started claiming you had to spend £24 and i spent £23.34. All a bit weird to me so poor customer Service.

Got a delivery and it took over an hour to come, the food was cold,chips were very hard.chicken burger was like rubber, it was awful definitely won't be ordering again as they are very slow and food is just not at all edible so it went in the bin. Not happy at all 😞😑

When food came was cold, rang up to say quickly send driver back so he can take food back and give us money back when we had a rude lass on phone saying what do you want us to do about it we’re closed now so can’t help you. She then put phone down didn’t answer again. Could hear someone laughing in background when she kept relaying the information. No customer service whatsoever or care about their reputation. Reviews say it all wish I’d of read them first

Rubbish experience. Ordered at 6:30 turned up at 8:30 after 2 calls got told it was sat waiting for it to be collected for delivered (it didn’t get delivered for another 20 mins) we was told that we would get a 50% refund and we haven’t received one, the food was honestly cold.

Ordered plenty of pizzas from here in the past. The recent pepperoni and doner pizzas we had virtually no topping on them. Not very enjoyable all and very poor value for money - so much so that I feel I have to leave this review.

Over 1hr 30mins with 2 phone calls asking where it is. With the first saying its just on its way, 20mins later it turns up with stuff missing and luke warm, told by driver to ring up for missing items to be met with an attitude especially when we mentioned we weren't happy as the food was luke warm to cold.

Opened the delivery and apparently I didn’t order salad with a kebab (when do you need to order salad with a kebab)? Both garlic and chilli sauce poured on the food instead of individual pots and £2 delivery service when they are up the road.. pretty disgusting so won’t be using you again. £21 on poor quality food. I was robbed

Been using this takeaway as long as I can remember and always had great service & food - their wraps are massive! Pizza has always been good too - staff behind the counter and on the phone have always been nice, their app is easy to use too with the benefit of apple pay! Parking is a little bit of a nightmare sometimes but there is a large carpark just over the road you can use for 5 mins while you pick up / order.

I ordered 2 cheeseburgers one garlic bread the garlic budget category garlic bread It was barely warm tuke an hour to come i have had better food in hospital and that saying something

When I ordered and made my order they told me 45mins it took 1hr 30mins to arrive they sent a kebab which was absolutely disgusting i wouldnt even feed it to my dog it was that bad sent it bk and got my money bk I love it here but they have lost a customer now from this experience

Chicken was hot but has clearly been cooked some time ago as coating was super dry. Chips were luke warm and soft, garlic bread was stone cold bland and stale. Coleslaw was ok, salad had 1 cucumber slice and 1 tomato piece.

honestly this place was the nicest takeaway and I've been ordering for over a year we haven't had anything for a few months but tonight ordered from here and by far the worst pizza I've ever tasted can barely call it a pizza caked in grease no flavour with the cheapest nastiest so called cheese the doner meat over cooked crispy greasy and cold but like all the other takeaways they buy the best ingredients until they build up a customer base then buy the cheapest stuff and over charge everyone definately won't be ordering from here again the worst food I've ever had the dog didn't even eat it and that's not me lying he genuinely turned his nose up at it

The fastest delivery ever best tasty pitzas ever and must have come by helicopter because was as hot as just come out of oven and we live 4 miles away brilliant

Walked in just before closing then I proceeded to flap about because I didn't realise it was cash only at the time and i fell a bit short on change but they were so lovely and accomodating about the situation. My go to whether for delivery or picking up never disappoints:)

Just a kebab. The kebab meat itself was nice but it didn't come with enough chilli sauce. The salad wasn't good enough. I asked for extra jalapeños and got none. Plus as I was walking towards the establishment, 3 staff were outside. One was smoking. When 1 of the staff realised I was heading for the kebab shop. The smoking staff member put her cigarette out by littering and went to the front of house to serve me without washing her hands. The answer to your question Pizza Doner, no tomatoes or cucumber, just lettuce, onion and cabbage.

Ordered for the first time from here, ordered chicken and chips,the chicken looked like it had been on a bbq for about a week,and the chips could break teeth they was that hard, garlic mushrooms for £4.50 had no garlic in at all,all the food was cold only good thing was the nice delivery lady apart from that it’s the worst £13 I’ve ever spent,never again!!

We have used pizza doner for over 15 years. We placed an order on just eat to have the food delivered at a certain time as we were travelling home from work. It arrived early and I rang you to explain this I spoke to a lady who explained that this is a rough estimate (but when you order online why do you get offered a time for delivery) I was trying to say this over the phone but the lady was so rude and argumentative. With regret we will not be using you again.

Ordered my partners usual burger on Friday. Called up as 3 toppings were missing and quality of burgers doesn't seem the same. Instead of an apology I was given to someone who called me a liar. I don't know who caught him his customer service skills but WOW! I eventually hung up as no one listened and TBH it was pointless. I have recommended this take away before as it used to be amazing but I will never spend my hard earned money there again. Terrible!

Ordered food and drinks which was one can of coke and a large bottle of coke, when food turned up no drinks. When we call back to inform them about it they say shall we put it on your next order. Don’t think so , so they said they will send it out and within minutes send delivery driver back and refund us for it because now they are too busy. Need to get new staff .Not good at all look out guys…..

Ordered a kebab last night and couldn't fault it,delivered within 15 mins and food piping hot and lots of meat.

Fast delivery not great food though cheap tacky Parmesan burnt to a crisp . Pizza was ok also 33 quid spent and got nothing free

Kinda sad ordered from here alot. But due to cost increase and now extra tip on top its now cheaper to get wrap of day x2 and 2x hamburgers and delivered from mcds on just eat. I understand raising costs same for us customers too nothing wrong with food or service at all if you can afford please do treat yourself

Called for two medium kebabs, asked for sauces and salad to come separate, they said it would be an extra £2.50 per kebab to do as requested. I cancelled the order and went to pizza base down the road and got what I asked for at no extra cost! Absolute rip off!

Wouldn't recommend this place at all, gave this place a second chance as the first time was appalling, wish I hadn't, told 40minutes then 1hour 40minutes later it arrived [ dont mind waiting over an hour if i was told this at the start ] and also the order was wrong, rang up to speak to owner and his words [ I don't have time to talk to you so what's the problem and make it quick, I said what the problem was for him to say I don't have time for this and hung up, food isn't nice and to be spoken to like this is unacceptable, wouldn't recommend to anyone so PLEASE STAY AWAY

Ok used Pizza done for years spend over £30 a week with em but never again!!!! Send a cold kebab no sauce as asked for and dry as hell!!! Call to complain they send another with sauce colder than the 1st!!!! Amazing 👏 Oww and they took the old one back!! Very hygienic!!! Bravo il spend my hard earned else where!!!

Thought as living in acomb try out new takeaway places, had a menu through the door so rang up tonight to try it, we’ll £25 down. Wish I hadn’t of bothered, pizza dry absolutely no taste to it whatso ever chips well, cheap and nasty and hard. I’m not one for bad reviews and don’t get me started on the chicken wrap. Only positive was the free bottle of coke.

We usually use this place, service / delivery is always quick and food is always hot and taste really great ! It's local to us. There are many others local to us but this keeps us coming back...!

Got my order wrong the first time I used them 😲 But!!... They corrected it before I'd even noticed it and before I even got home with my food. The correct order followed me literally 5 minutes behind. I care about customer service so huge ✅ straight away, but then the kebabs were also awesome so this is my new goto kebab place of which I will be a regular visitor. Thanks for resolving ☺ Vince.

Really good customer service, very friendly. The food was spot on and the Donner meat was nice with no grit and full of flavour. It can be hard finding a nice Donner Kebab but I will definitely be coming back again and very much recommend.

Went from a 3 to a 5 here's why. Forget about the last review as this place is now the best it's ever been. HUGE PORTIONS for a little more than a tenner. Have nothing in and it's bad weather outside and you for a tenner and a couple or quid around like I did? ORDER HERE! The website wouldn't deliver to my address even though I live in acomb ordered my phone instead got told they would messege me about the issue no more than 5 minutes later got a link to the new website that they use now which is much easier to use. They were very polite about this. More places need to use their own delivery services instead of relying on Deliveroo or Just eat that just makes it harder if stuff goes wrong. Pizza doner are years above any other takeaway and they are right what they say. More than just a takeaway More experience more quality. 100% true.

Been using for alot of years. Food portions have shrunk, food still good just not enough compared a few months back. Shame regular customers who know what to expect are getting cheated.

DISGRACEFUL service by shop staff and delivery driver; he snatched my mobile phone, I was told I hadn't already paid by card and was told to pay again! No apology by either the delivery driver or the, apparent, manager of the shop. If I could give 0 stars I would. Even the food that was delivered was incorrect. I have been on my feet for nearly 14 hours saving lives and giving end care for covid patients, all I wanted was a hot meal with my family before doing it all over again tomorrow at 7am. Never had an experience like this with a takeaway before.

This place has gone downhill, lost orders. 2 hour wait times. Order turns up without items you’ve ordered and when you call they don’t care and pass you around to speak to the “manager” then they argue that you didn’t place an order. They just don’t care no customer service. 8 years of ordering form her I think it’s time to try something new!!!

Ordered on sat night 18/7/20 for collection . Was told 20 mins . Turned up on time and waited 20 mins to be told it won’t be ready but is on next and they will deliver it if go home . Returned home and waited 40 mins until we rang again . Was met with “ it’s very busy it’s sat night “ . As started explaining its now over an hour late she just repeated “ like I said it’s very busy” then hung up talking over me mid sentence . I wasn’t rude or swearing or loud I just explained the situation . Won’t ever be using here again. Used here for 18 years but in the last year or more it’s very unreliable now . If they had said it an hour wait so be it . But we drove to pizza donner and got messed around to then be treated like this is our fault as they are so busy and should expect it . Maybe don’t tell people 20 mins if ridiculously busy then be rude about your mistake .

We have been ordering from you for many years, your service has always been top quality. We won't order pizza from any other takeaway my kids are huge fans.
