Great place, really friendly and welcoming people, lovely food. The owner shared his Chinese tea with me which was delicious. Thank you!

Very bad experience! The staff was very rude. The opening hour is until 11pm. We arrived at 10pm and our main course was only served at 10:20pm. The staff ask us to leave at 10:30 since they need to close with inpatient attitude. He even said if I keep talking that he won't able to get off work. The food is not good as well. Just wondering why do you write the opening hour is until 11pm if you are kicking us out at 10:30? And you could refuse us if you want to close earlier instead of being so rude.

On the just eat website they profess to open on a Friday until 2am Saturday morning. I tried to order £22 worth of food 1.5 hours before 2am. Only to have my order rejected because on further resaeach, according to Google they close three hours before at 11pm. I think get your act in order is in order!

After arriving 40 mins before closing, they were happy to serve us (there were 6 of us) but we were rushed in to ordering. We only had main courses but the meals were cold when they arrived, and the waitress brought the bill as we finished. Will not be going back there again

Everything was really nice- we opted for Chinese style hotpots that you cook yourself. Ordered about seven or eight dishes to cook along with the broth and it worked pretty well. The tricky part was knowing if some of the frozen items were cooked or not! It was tasty, and reasonably priced, it’s just a shame the whole place was pretty empty when we went- not much of an atmosphere. Robot waiters were a cool touch.

This used to be my favourite restaurant but the last time we went, we were disappointed. We were looking forward to enjoying our meal while cooking our barbecue snd having a great conversation with our family. This Chinese lady manager or supervisor took the initiative of cooking the barbecue in front of us disrupting our pleasant conversation. We felt rushed and offended especially that her attitude was not friendly at all. We never came back after that experience.

From the second we walked in here, we knew that we had found a new favourite chinese restaurant. the staff are very polite and friendly, they even showed us how to use the cooking equipment at our table which i was very impressed with! the food is amazing and full of flavour! They even have robots which bring you your food to the table and at first i couldn't work out how the robots would be accurate with moving around but they are razor sharp and it actually made the experience more exciting! I couldn't recommend this place enough even if i tried!😁

Both my husband and I were surprised by this little gem in the heart of York. Although nervous at first the staff showed us how to order and make the sauces needed to have with the menu. We then started to cook and make our hotpot and meat. The food was so tasty and the soup base, I had Tom Yum, was amazing. We will return with our family as this was definitely a great thing to do with a group of friends and family and very social. Have a go, a new thing for us to do in York and a great little restaurant too.

I'm not from York, but st home an order of fish chips and curry sauce would be well over 12 quid, here cod is £3.50, haddock £4.50 and chips £2 odd, so if you lot think the prices are too much your mistaken, not only was it cheap, it was beautiful, 7 of us fed for just under £40, the portions of fish and chips also were big enough to give the lads that had ne money a little bit fish an a handful of chips, don't really write reviews but wow that was an awesome experience, the curry seems a mix of traditional chip shop curry and Chinese curry and it was fantastic. Thankyou, highly recommended

I don't like giving negative reviews, but this one highlights an issue that I believe is more important than the quality of the food There are very few organisations that refuse to accept card payments these days and you have to wonder why. Many of them are hot food takeaways and a large proportion are Chinese food. The cost of the transaction by card is pennies, so you can rule that one out. However if you have the record that card transactions would provide, it would allow HMRC and the VAT man to get a very good indication of the level of turnover. The only reason I can think of to want to hide this is if you are evading tax People that want to cheat the taxman are refusing to contribute to society and don't deserve your custom. You may also have a wasted journey if you have got no cash with you.

I spent a weekend in York and came across this Chinese takeaway by chance – and I’m so glad I did! The staff were incredibly friendly and gave great recommendations. The food was delicious, freshly made, and arrived quickly. Definitely worth a visit!

1st time ordering. Had it delivered. Not long waiting for delivery. But my god the food is tasteless and so bland. Will definitely not be ordering from here again. And it's pricey for what it is
