Met a friend for coffee here. Wasn't expecting much during these times of covid, but it was a delight. Sat outside under an umbrella big enough to keep off a shower. Excellent coffee served by a very friendly young student waitress. Delightful people and a lovely little dog. Will be back.

New tenant in situ. Atmosphere is much improved and more welcoming. Food now available - decent pub styled food choices without any frills. Prices as expected. Beer choices are good with excellent draught beer (Farmers Blonde and Timothy Taylor) plus a myriad of lagers. Quiz night on Sundays. A really pleasant local. Worth a visit.

Went to try a Sunday dinner at the castle inn today now it’s under new ownership. Found it very reasonably priced and the quality was excellent. The two young waiters were very polite and the food came out nice and quick. All the fires were lit and felt very warm and welcoming. Can highly recommend and will be returning again without a doubt

A fab evening out, mid week, fillet steaks all cooked to perfection, generous pudding sizes. Lovely customer service.

We booked here to celebrate my Mums 82nd birthday and we were not disappointed. The food and service was excellent, my daughter said the mash potatoes were the best she has ever had. The staff accommodated 2 fussy eaters as well as a gluten free Sunday roast for my wife. We will be back again very soon Craig

Gave it a try today - was met with the kind of service that makes you a fan before even taking a bite. After eating the fish and chips (and Italian ice cream), you can’t help but go online and write a 5 star review. Will be my new local takeaway of choice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A brilliant pub with great atmosphere.

A really nice village pub, so good to see it still open. Worth a visit but very hard to find out their opening times (and I don’t ever trust Google as it is so often wrong). Even the pub’s own website doesn’t give away the secret of when they are open. Apart from that, well worth a visit although beware of the locals, don’t sit in their ‘usual seat’; a bit cliquey in that respect, felt obligated to move.

Highly recommend the Fenton Flyer in Church Fenton. The owners are lovely and do so much for charity and the community. It’s lovely that they put on so many fantastic events to bring people together. Excellent choice of beers. Friendly local residents. Dog and child friendly. Pool room and a weekly quiz night. What’s not to love? Definitely recommend giving them a visit.

We've just had takeaway fish and chips with peas and they were INCREDIBLE ♥️ Definitely recommended!

Just had the most amazing pie and peas at the ferry inn the manageress was very pretty and done a great job on the food she must have chef bone in her somewhere Will definitely be going back for more
