It's so comfortable that you feel like you're visiting a friend's house or coming back to your parents' house! When I requested that my sandwich be replaced with a salad, they kindly accommodated my request. Both the bread and cake look delicious.

A fresh breath of air in the delightful village of Cawood. Just had a great light lunch at the cafe and will most definitely be back. The overall experience is excellent. Family run and the facilities are excellent. Well done for a great local experience.

Tearoom with tasty cakes. Think is a place more suited to families and toddlers, as it seemed to have a somewhat chaotic appearance when I visited with a jumble of sun faded kids toys abounding. Bit cluttered and unrelaxing, but maybe that was down to the large group that were in. Pot of tea a very reasonable £2.50, especially as it was the size of a kettle and provided three good cupfuls. Good value for money. Odd it came with a cup, but no saucer, never been to a tearooms before who served you a 'bald' cup-ohne-saucer. I had a cherry scone, which was good. I declined the offer of jam and cream with it, so was a bit taken aback they served it without butter too. I did ask and receive butter, or it would have been awfully dry to digest. Also sells reasonably priced garden plants from about £1.50.

My second visit as a cafe stop during a cycle ride. I like it here but it's let down by service which is on the slow side. Today wasn't too bad but when there was a group of 8 several weeks ago we waited almost an hour for food. The coffee is nice, didn't do food today.

The best tearoom around the area! We popped in for the first time. We sat in the newly built extension. It was cosy and had a lovely festive vibe! We literally felt like we were sat at home on the sofa! We had our order taken quickly and efficently. I had a caramel latte which was gorgeous 🤤 the cakes were amazing too! Jess is such a lovely owner and spent time speaking to us! Would recommend to anyone and looking forward to my next visit!!

An amazing setting for a combined 50th birthday/Hen do. The staff were very friendly, helpful and we had an amazing afternoon tea. The food was delicious and my favourite choice of cake changed each time I tasted the next one! They set it all up beautifully and helped us add our decorations and extras we brought with us. A great experience with a relaxed atmosphere! Thank you to all the Village Tearoom staff.

We pre-booked as there were quite a few of us in need of breakfast the day after our wedding. Jess was prompt in replying to my query and sent the menu to share with guests. We arrived to a wonderful welcome from staff and enjoyed delicious hot drinks, juices and freshly cooked breakfasts. What a lovely place! The cakes looked incredible but we passed on this occasion due to having lots of wedding cake to eat!! Thank you for your hospitality.

I went with my husband and children (5 and 3) the breakfast was amazing!! They use the best produce and you can really tell. The bacon, sausage and black pudding are from Dawsons butchers. It's the best breakfast we have had. The eggs were also cooked to perfection. Whilst the girls enjoyed the breakfast and played with the toys provided. Definitely recommend. Beautiful food in a beautiful setting perfect for all ages.

I'm a cyclist and enjoyed a late lunch here today. The cafe has had a refurbishment which has smartened this hidden gem up a treat. The coffee, and food are both well priced and of good quality. The location and outside undercover area make it a good place to stop with your bicycle any time of year and in all weather's. The two new new owners are the real stars though. Jess works front of house and is both attentive and personable. Danielle is responsible for the food which is quite simply praise enough. I am actually looking forward to returning and I don't say that about many places. Steve C Endurance Cyclist

This place only just reopened and it's well worth a visit! The staff were great and despite a dozen cyclists decenending on them all at once dealt with us wonderfully! The food was nice and fresh and the location a treat! Lovely and warm under the Poly tunnels but I bet this gets quite hot when sunny! A definite recommend!😁
