Lola's Garden in Selby

Had a fantastic Beef stew and Dumplings here today while visiting Selby. Best beef stew I’ve tasted,tender , nice thick gravy . Served with mash,cabbage, Carrots.

lola's garden is a real of a gem cafe. it is family run and all the food is cooked fresh to order. they even make the best homemade chocolate orange cheesecakes. i always try to go there as much as possible as i go to respite in selby. fantastic service from all the family. a big thank you to sue,jade and the team.

A cafe by the Bus Stop in Selby. The food was good. The service was excellent. Had a BLT and a Chip Buttie which I’d basically chips on a bun. Must be considered a vegan dish. The chips and bun were fresh. The BLT was flavourful. Good price for a fast lunch at a bus stop. Also had a coffee which was worth the money. Next time we are travelling through I’ll have to try something more substantial. The menu had much to offer

Absolutely stunning breakfast, best I've found in the Selby area (and I've sampled most of them!!) Had a sandwich here and I just can't stay away, just delicious food and lovely staff. Full breakfast today and it just looks amazing.

So we were heading off to undertake the trans-pennine ale trail and needed a good breakfast, we had heard Lola's was good and we were not disappointed Great big breakfast Will go again

Amazing staff I come by here every day to catch bus to my highschool and buy from there every time, whole place is super comforting and staff super friendly.

5 stars well deserved. Decided to drop in for breakfast while on a festival road trip. Bit of a detour, however was highly rated and worth the effort. Biggest plus was the staff/owners, very friendly and helpful indeed. Food and coffee was excellent. Small, friendly, cafe for take away, sit in and outside. Give tip to daughter of owner. Lovely people.

It’s a lovely cafe, with great coffee! Went in there after my Dad’s car broke down, such lovely staff! They even came out after they shut and gave us bottles of water because we were waiting a long time! Was a lovely gesture. Would 100% recommend!!

Great cafe, very clean. The breakfast was spot on couldn’t fault it. Quality product cooked to perfection. Staff very friendly and attentive. If you are in Selby call for a breakfast, you won’t be disappointed.

We have been to Selby a number of times in the last couple of years, (we stay in log cabins a 15minute drive away) we just found the Gem today! On the last day! 😱. The breakfast was UNREAL! The staff so friendly food was pipping hot and freshly cooked.

Best breakfast in Selby bar none. Been going for over 10 years and it has aleays been top notch. Also the make me feel like family everything I visit. Now I bring my own little family for breakfast every weekend. Much love to all the people there

Brilliant friendly staff. Got the big breakfast!! And I was stuffed, FRESHLY cooked HOT FOOD. Just like it should be, no grease!! 2 bacon, 3 sausage, 2 hash browns, 2 black pudding, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, 2 slices of toast. Cup of tea or coffee. £6.50. Bargin breaky. You will not be dissapointed!!!

Came here for breakfast when it was outdoor seating only. The staff are so lovely and so friendly. The food was truly really good!! and incredible value for money as prices are good. Can’t recommend it enough.

Visited 24.8.20. During the corovid crisis. What more can I possibly add that other reviewers have already said. A locally owned and operated cafe,. Spotlessly clean with excellant food and friendly service. The food is superb, whole bean coffee is like nectar of the gods. Well worth a visit.

Hi, Very lovely, kind friendly staff who will go out their own way to make sure you get best offers and welcome feel. The food is so delicious and good value for money They get to know there customers and what their regular orders are. It's a nice atmosphere

I would usually grab a coffee at the station before catching my train but as it's cash only I was looking for somewhere close by where I could pay by card. Lola's was open at 7am, good coffee and a cheeky custard tart (never too early for a custard tart!). Service was friendly but quick enough to dash for the train. Will be making this my regular stop.

A proper breakfast at a more than reasonable price. Nice friendly staff as well.

My brother in law and I have breakfast there once a week, plus occasionally a couple more of our friends. Really nice cafe and the traditional breakfast is just the right side but they do have a larger portion, which I haven't tried yet. Staff are excellent, food is above standard and prices are competitively priced. Would definately recommend a visit if your are catching a bus or train in future, as both stations are only a stone's throw away.

What a lovely cafe and amazing staff. The food was delicious and came quickly. The staff were friendly, chatty and very helpful. If your looking for a good honest home cooked meal in an wonderful friendly and relaxed atmosphere you couldn’t wish for anywhere better. 5 stars

My BIL suggested going to Lola's for a cooked breakfast, with other friends as well. We all had a medium breakfast as recommended by my BIL, as he said last week he had a large breakfast and really struggled to get through it, as there was so much. The medium breakfast was ideal and we all finished. Really tasty and service and deco was excellent as well. Ideally placed next to Selby's main bus station. Will definitely be using them again in the future, for future chinwags with friends and family. "Recommended"

Cheerful & friendly staff, good home cooked traditional food

Took my family, including baby granddaughter for breakfast on a Wednesday around 11am. Had to park about ten mins away as station parking was full. Lovely friendly staff and no problem taking a pram in, looks much smaller from outside. The café was packed with a long queue for takeaway too. Ordered traditional breakfasts (should have chosen the lighter option as very big) and my son had the big breakfast (how he ate it all I have no idea) and lovely large mugs of coffee. Didn't take long for orders to arrive and very reasonably priced. Cost £26 for 4 breakfasts and drinks. Other food looked great too. Will definitely go back. It's a shame they don't have a website or a proper facebook page.

we do our weekly shop in Selby every Fridays and finish up for dinner a t Lolo's Garden before taking the bus home the food is brilliant always plentiful and nicely priced. Sue, Jade and Kayliegh are always there with a big smile and will find the time for a chat. Worth more than the five stars. such a friendly place.

Fantastic service and food. Breakfast was defo filling a cup of tea in a proper mug too non of this teapot rubbish.. I was defo a happier person once had eaten here and had a happy tummy 😁 very much recommend this cafe if want a decent breakfast. Very generous too.. 😅

A clean, light, airy cafe serving superb freshly cooked local produce. My daughter lives locally and recommended this family run cafe, we came in a family group including baby specifically for breakfast and it was delicious. There are sizes to suit all appetites and the prices are very keen for such wonderful food and friendly service. The menu shows a good range of food served all day and there were plenty of takers coming in for takeaway service. The bus and rail stations are right on the doorstep and directly behind is the lovely town park - all this just over the road from the splendid Selby Abbey and the nice town. I have marked it as cheap eats because it seemed (to this Southerner) to offer remarkably good value.

Food is always fresh, home made and delicious - and huge portions! Coffee is spot on. Service is top notch - all the ladies who work there are incredible. Would recommend to everyone.

Had the big breakfast a few times and every time with out fail have had the best breakie. For 5.95 and really nice food, you can't beat it. I've recommended it to anyone who asks for good grub.
