Called in for a drink, and was made welcome by the lady behind the bar. There was a good choice of beers, and lager at village prices. Pub is nicely decorated, with a large screen tv. Would recommend a visit.

A pub that doesn't serve food. Always popular with locals. Well kept hand pulled beers. We had TT Landlord and Ossett While Rat. Visit if you can.

We have lived in the village for just over 10 years now, the pub has always been a focal point of the village and a great place to visit, the previous couple that ran the pub were wonderful and after numerous attempts at giving it their all during covid, multiple lockdowns and repeated changes to rules that didn't give them a fighting chance despite pouring their soul into it the pub was closed which was a very sad time for the village, the proprietors and all that know them! After a long absence the pub was taken on and is back to being an important part of the village for the majority that live here. Not being hindered by covid rules and restrictions which made the task impossible previously the lady that now runs the pub has absolutely smashed it out of the park. there are regular food vendors that visit (all of which are good quality) there are events themed for children, fund raising initiatives and constant enlivenment around the seasons and anything relevant at the time, during summer there were all sorts of great events organised specifically aimed at young children and families. we have a young family and all the effort to create a truly family friendly environment and keep coming up with fresh ideas and functions is great. I'm not one to write many reviews but having seen a very strange and quite offensive one regarding the demographic of customers myself included who visit the pub I felt compelled to write something. I would hope people reading the reviews will see straight through the nonsense written and visit the pub for themselves. I was there briefly yesterday and commented that while there was music playing and a fair amount of people of the non loutish variety chatting, I was actually inside the pub and couldn't really hear the lyrics of whatever was playing so whomever is sat in a dark room rocking back and forth wearing ear defenders must have some other long standing deep seeded issues they may need to address before scribing such strange reviews. The previous owners of the pub are missed greatly but thankfully we all still see each other and to Alice who now runs the pub, well done for making it such a wonderful venue and an integral part of Osgodby.

This has been our local pub for over 10 years. It’s a fantastic social place for the local community. The fund raising for charity and the pensioners Christmas party is amazing 🤩 To see family’s and grandparents enjoying a get together and playing the board games is lovely. 3 open fires a fantastic land lady and staff where else would you want to travel to, to spend time with family and friends. Brilliant Christmas market and gorgeous Christmas Tree donated by the parish council. So nice to see a pub thriving with amazing friendly customers 🥰

Moved to osgodby for some peace and quiet; but now the constant noise and rabble from this place is running my life. The owners (star pubs) won't do anything about it. The council won't do anything about it. I can't even sit in my garden or open a window on a night an without listening to overbearing music on many a occasion and loud scummy people shouting on weekends during most seasons. There's nothing i can do apart from us noise cancelling headphones which aren't always effective. This is not how I want to live.

Stopped off here with a large group of friends (including multiple children) There is a large beer green with a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained (under 10’s only) All drinks were lovely and good time had by all!!

I have been quite a few times to this pub to meet up with friends and do the quiz. The pub itself is lovely, feels warm, cosy and traditional with such a lovely atmosphere! The staff were exceptional. Really friendly and welcoming, they all seemed genuinely happy to chat away to customers and you can see why they have such a loyal bunch of regulars! I've also had fish and chips from the chippy van they have and it was delicious! Will definitely be returning more meals and drinks!

A lovely warm and cosy pub with great atmosphere, fire is always lit, plenty of great beers and wine to choose from, the staff are very polite and sociable. They do regular events from bands to food nights to pub quiz etc. definitely worth the visit check out their Facebook page for updates on events! Overall a top pub 10/10 experience from us!

Cosy pub with a large selection of drinks and open fires- what more could you want! Staff are superb and the variety of food nights are a great addition. We’ve currently had food from a Pizza van, Latin fusion and fish and chips. All been brilliant. Would 100% recommend

What a lovely village pub. Good atmosphere and lovely staff. Have also been to the Greek and Pizza takeaway vans in the car park, we ate them in the pub in front of the fire with a drink.

Had a fantastic teatime in the Waddy. Beautiful pizzas from the pizza van. Sat in front of the fire enjoying a drink and such a brilliant atmosphere. So nice to see people of all ages enjoying themselves. Amazing staff. The Waddy has been our local for 10+ years and hopefully many more to come. 🥰

Absolutely great find a pub that hasn't being knocked down to build even for more houses. I find it so sad when I come back to England from our new home in Canada to see that the world famous pub atmosphere is being decimated by greedy breweries selling off pubs to developers.

I first visited this pub in September, for a pit stop while cycling. The safety measures in place were the best I've seen in an establishment since Covid 19 broke out. Not only does the pub have a mask rule and track and trace, they also check your temperature before you order. As someone living with a highly vulnerable person, this really made me feel safe entering the pub. The shandy I had there was the best I'd ever tasted. In the next few weeks I visited again, explaining I tried a shandy here and really enjoyed it, but didn't know which beer was used. The man behind the bar allowed me to sample a few to see which one it was, before I ordered and was extremely patient while I made up my mind. The pub has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I can't wait to visit again and have another delicious shandy. Thank you for making me feel so welcome in your pub!

This the safest pub in the area! apart from serving excellent ales, wines. They have gone to huge effort to protect customers - creating an outside area, covered but with unglassed large window plenty of ventilation and a tele. Perspex screens at bar no one can loiter there, masks worn until you sit down and worn by staff and temperature checks. Customer service great! serve you at the table after checking in - adhere to social distancing, courteous and very friendly. Open fires inside cosy and distanced. Toilets spotless only one person in at a time with a lock to keep others out sanitizers available. Such a huge shame they are leaving at tonight will be the last time they are open. Thank you for everything.

Only been to a few pubs cautiously and outside. This is by far the best! Must sign in, perspex at the bar and temperature check - clear notices about social distancing and they tell customers if you don't adhere. Very friendly staff, good beers and wines and bar snacks. Large extended outside space well-ventilated, with open area but covered so you don't get wet! Sanitizers. Toilets only 1 person allowed in you must lock the door behind you, spotlessly clean with hand wash and sanitizers. They couldn't do better to protect their staff and customers. We felt safe and we are both in the vulnerable group. Thank you good experience. Much better than many other pubs we have been to in the area.

The Wadkin Arms, what more can I say about this charming friendly pub, they have a sign hanging when you walk in saying Enter As Strangers Leave as Friends and nothing could be more true thanks to the Landlords Alan and Martin and the rest of the staff .

Note that despite what the sign by the road and the Camera app say they don't do food. Which is a shame, they did a good roast a bit back.

Absolutely awesome. Great choice of cask beer even better company, can't rate this pub enough! Had the same grandmother clock as my mum and dad had, a real throw back to good memories. A real dying breed, Proper old school pub. This place is definately to see if your in the area warm and inviting and classic pub.

Very cosy even has a dog. Cider was apples out of bottle but was smashing real ale was white snake and very moorish. Smashing afternoon atmosphere. The landlords Hard work pays of.... thoroughly worth a visit

Proper local, however I instantly felt welcome.

No longer serves food as we found out when we walked through the door to a guy putting out a sign "we no longer serve food" along with the comment 'that will stop people asking STUPID questions. Not a great attitude to have in that kind of industry. Can't see the new management going very far!

Delightfull little village pub with a well cared for cellar. Good selection of beers and spirits. Meals are freshly cooked and are generous sized portions. The cheerful landlord, Martin, is always there to offer a warm welcome.

Fantastic food, beer and hospitality!

Fancied some pub grub and found The Wadkin Arms online. Called up beforehand to make sure it was dog friendly (which it is) and they were very kind. When we walked in the lad behind the bar immediately welcomed us and showed which part of the pub was dog friendly. We ordered the Pie and Fish and Chips, both nice and brilliant value. Got chatting to some of the locals and the landlord that was in that day made a good effort to get to know us. The pub is very cosy and looking forward to going back.

Usually very busy due to the Wadkins popularity. Meals are fantastic. Attention is paid to detail. Can be a bit noisy, but that's due to its popularity. Meal areas are respected. There is a Tv area usually showing popular sports. Seating is adequate.

Absolutely gorgeous meal, great service, and very warm and welcoming pub ,great Sunday lunch choices. Advise to book as very popular, big thumbs up xxx.

Have been a few times to this pub ,back end of last year . Its been on a Sunday lunch time ,all our party really enjoyed our visit to the Wadkin . Great atmosphere ,hosts and chef all very friendly ,food was good as well, all fresh and great portions .If I lived local would enjoy using this pub on a regular basis ,great place for locals top meet up ,good beer and food etc. Will be back soon ,keep up the good work. After a walk with friends just before Christmas we went to have lunch at the Wadkin Arms because we had heard it was very good and was particularly welcoming to dog owners. When we arrived we weren't disappointed. The service and welcome was exceptional from staff and local alike. Someone came to our table to take our food order and when it arrived it was excellent! The final thing to be said about service is that we were two couples and wanted the pay separately. The staff had noticed we were two couples and without asking had created two separate bills - this really is exceptional service and very rare! So in summary a great country pub and we will definitely be visiting again!

Went on Friday for the first time and will be going again,the staff were very friendly and welcoming,food was very nice in my opinion the best fish and Chips around 👍

We had a family meal. The food was lovely if very large portions. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

The fish and chips that were served were exceptional and the service was quite fast, the pub also had a pleasant atmosphere about it.

Para iniciar la llamada de teléfono para reservar una mesa para 8 era se reunió con el persona amable más educado que inmediatamente fue un buen comienzo. Cuando llegamos nos saludó calurosamente y se sirve una copa por una señora encantadora mientras esperamos a llegar. Menú no era demasiado grande, de nuevo una buena señal. La comida era pedir y servido con prontitud. Todos teníamos una comida de domingo, todos estaban satisfechos. La carne tierna y verduras preparados a todos nuestro gusto. Los postres eran agradables y un buen tamaño de la porción, no se deja nada en el plato. La comida no es cara y todos estábamos a la izquierda completo. Nos dieron exactamente lo que habíamos pagado y volveremos sin duda. Gracias a todo el personal encantador
