A very old fashioned tea room. Mismatched China and crochet blankets. Dogs welcome and good coffee and my husband enjoyed a generous blonde. Wasn’t keen on the smell of what was possibly vegetable soup lingering in the air, reminded me of school dinners. No vegan options as far as I could see.

Really Friendly staff, so I feel bad giving such a low score. Set in a Really quaint Station tea Room. Selling sandwiches, pastries etc . We both had a hot drink, pasty and a Lemon Meringue Pie. My Husband said his pasty was just OK. Mine was cheese & onion, and it was just so bland and tasteless. I ordered a Yorkshire Tea, and I was expecting a lovely strong Brew. Instead of being allowed to make the Tea to our own preferences, the staff do that for you. I was horrified to see loads of milk being poured in for me, it was just so weak, awful grey and milky, really bad! One of the worst cuppas I've ever had! I couldn't drink it. I think they should consider letting customers make their own tea (like every other restaurant)

My wife and i booked in for a meal in September for our anniversary. The staff and owners were absolutely wonderfully and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and expertly presented. The menu was really varied and had a great wine menu. The insides of the restaurant was lovely and was also immaculate. 5 star food rating by the local authorities. We will definitely be back. Thank you Everyone for a wonderful experience.

While looking for an Indian restaurant we came across this place, and after reading the positive reviews we decided to give it a try, and we were NOT disappointed. Beautiful atmosphere. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Stunning food. Couldn't ask for anything better. Would love to return.

As a family of 5, we visited Pickering during half term. We read great things about Figaros so decided to book a table for dinner. We are all so glad we did, we couldn't fault any aspect of our meal. We were also amazed at the reasonable prices when compared to our local Italian restaurants in Leicestershire. Booking seems to be essential, we watched at least 10 people get turned away without a booking.

We call at Pickering on our way home from Scarborough but have never called in here . We decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Louise who explained that she had only been there a few days . She was very polite and attentive. My partner had a medium cod with chips , peas and bread and butter , I had two homemade fish cakes , chips and peas all washed down with a pot of tea . Would highly recommend this place .

We enjoyed some delicious homemade food and our pick from a good selection of cask and keg beers as well as wine and other drinks in the dog-friendly side of this Inn. It is clearly a popular choice for a Saturday night out for food and/or drinks in Pickering.

We came here primarily for lunch but ended up having a look round the shop, having a go on the train and using the 'pick your own' facilities! The cafe was full when we arrived but the gave us a little pager and it said it would beep when a table was available so we decided to have a look around the shop. It went off after about 10 minutes even though they estimated 30 minutes, so that was good. The staff in the cafe are friendly and the food is fantastic. We had a ride on the train around the farm which was nice. We also decided to pick our own strawberries. There wasn't many left as they had been picked through, but we did get as many as we wanted and they were cheap too. Fantastic little place.
