We live locally and love this tea room. Visited today for a coffee and my husband had his favourite cherry scone and a cappuccino. This is a friendly vintage tearoom with homemade treats. Lovely staff. Definitely recommend.

The service, the food, all good, but not great. The scallop starter with black pudding was delicious, the main course of Belly Pork was mediocre and the cheese course with two pieces of cheese was less than impressive. With wine, peroni and a glass of whiskey the bill of £175.00 for two people was far too excessive for what was on offer. We have dined in Michelin star for far less and this place just didn’t hit the spot for the cost.

We visit the area from time to time , this was our 3rd meal here , 2 takeaways and this time sit in , the food is lovely and the staff are so helpful and friendly , we were looked after by Ayub who is a credit to the team ,we will certainly return when in the area again. Highly recommended .

As a family of 5, we visited Pickering during half term. We read great things about Figaros so decided to book a table for dinner. We are all so glad we did, we couldn't fault any aspect of our meal. We were also amazed at the reasonable prices when compared to our local Italian restaurants in Leicestershire. Booking seems to be essential, we watched at least 10 people get turned away without a booking.

We came here primarily for lunch but ended up having a look round the shop, having a go on the train and using the 'pick your own' facilities! The cafe was full when we arrived but the gave us a little pager and it said it would beep when a table was available so we decided to have a look around the shop. It went off after about 10 minutes even though they estimated 30 minutes, so that was good. The staff in the cafe are friendly and the food is fantastic. We had a ride on the train around the farm which was nice. We also decided to pick our own strawberries. There wasn't many left as they had been picked through, but we did get as many as we wanted and they were cheap too. Fantastic little place.
