We dropped in after scouring the railway vintage memorabilia shop for a coffee and cakes. A very warm welcome from the staff and from the wonderful coal fire. We enjoyed the railway theme of the cafe and they have various Wensleydale Railway items for sale, such as beer and engraved glass packs. The home baking was excellent and the coffee hot and flavoursome. A good selection of snacks. It's the sort of place where everyone is relaxed and conversations with other customers start. Great to see and hear the trains going by. Seats on the platform if you want to get closer to the action.

Extremely friendly welcome with delicious homemade cakes baked by Mandy (the apple cake was scrumptious). Parking readily available and away from the busy high street. Good washrooms with easy access for visitors. Very helpful and knowledgeable volunteers run the station.

Only ever been into the bar which is proper old school, cash only, limited opening hours but serves quality beers. Big shout out to Kath, who continues to run the place following the death of John. Definitely be back when next in the area with our 2 dogs.

Lovely venue. Best for wedding and other ceremony. Multiple rooms. Massive main hall accompanying with galleries. Spacious reception area. Was there for family wedding. Really enjoyed it. Photo booth and dessert bar were in separate rooms to avoid congestion. Massive car park. Nice and clean place

This is a lovely welcoming little cafe and we had the savoury scone with Wensleydale cheese and chutney and I had the fruit scone with jam and cream and both were so delicious we bought some to bring home with us. The cafe is very clean especially the toilet which is so important. The staff were helpful and friendly and an amazing array of beautiful cakes and traybakes all home made. We have visited a few times and definitely a place to go back to again and again.

We didn't stay here, just had a couple of drinks in the bar. They had a fair choice of local ales but unfortunately the bitter was way too cold, rendering it pretty tasteless.

We only wanted hot drinks on a cold bank holiday Sunday on our way to the Forbidden Corner. Having left another cafe on the opposite side of the road due to a rude waitress we were pleased to find a table in this light, airy cafe. The service was a little slow but it was a busy bank holiday. We had no complaints and other people’s food looked very appetising.
