We had a delicious dinner during our Jazz festival weekend in Leyburn. The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice, everything was very fresh and well presented. We had a lovely bottle of wine from a great wine list. The service was excellent and very friendly. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Leyburn

Great ales...disappointing Sunday lunch experience We booked in advance, large group of us.We were in early, ordered food but waited an absolute age, whilst other tables were getting served. Our sunday dinners arrived on long rectangle plates, looking totally different to photos on here and other diners.Informed it was beef/turkey dinner only and not full menu, however whilst eating ours it seemed full menu was available due to meals coming out of kitchen. Not the best experience for lunch, but the ales are always nice here. Just a shame re meal and menu.

We didn't stay here, just had a couple of drinks in the bar. They had a fair choice of local ales but unfortunately the bitter was way too cold, rendering it pretty tasteless.

We only wanted hot drinks on a cold bank holiday Sunday on our way to the Forbidden Corner. Having left another cafe on the opposite side of the road due to a rude waitress we were pleased to find a table in this light, airy cafe. The service was a little slow but it was a busy bank holiday. We had no complaints and other people’s food looked very appetising.

I love my fish and chips and this place just went to number one in my hit list - taking me right back to my fave chippy in Thirsk. A quick pop in for lunch, but I'll be back for the full monty again. Unfortunately for my husband (who is veggie), they're a traditional chippy cooking in dripping, so no veggie options.

Our first trip to Leyburn ruined by this cafe experience. Went with my you family. You need a pin to go the dingy toilet, there are signs everywhere telling you not to do something, it says it’s dog friendly but it definitely is not children friendly, the menu is overpriced, the staff are rude, it is called a cafe and does not act as a cafe, the old male waiter needs to be let go as he makes unkind comments that make you feel uncomfortable. I only stayed as we were very hungry, but really should’ve walked out and got a meal deal from the co-op. I will not be returning and urge all to not bother in the first place. I am surprised that it is even open.
