We dropped in after scouring the railway vintage memorabilia shop for a coffee and cakes. A very warm welcome from the staff and from the wonderful coal fire. We enjoyed the railway theme of the cafe and they have various Wensleydale Railway items for sale, such as beer and engraved glass packs. The home baking was excellent and the coffee hot and flavoursome. A good selection of snacks. It's the sort of place where everyone is relaxed and conversations with other customers start. Great to see and hear the trains going by. Seats on the platform if you want to get closer to the action.

You only find this old-fashioned railway refreshment room if you go down to Leyburn Station on the Wensleydale Heritage Railway. It is a little gem. The staff are very friendly and the service is efficient. There's a selection of drinks and home made cakes and sandwiches. An extra bonus is that it is dog friendly. Ours was even treated to two crunchie dog biscuits. The trains even stop long enough for passengeers to get a drink.

Stopped mid journey whilst between Finghall Lane and Redmire stations. The staff member/volunteer was brilliant and was very conscious of the need to serve us whilst the train refuelled. The tea (regular and decaf) was okay and the hot chocolate lovely, whilst the price was really reasonable.

This café is on the platform of heritage Wensleydale Railway with home made cakes and tray bakes and serves alcohol. There is also a shop and second hand bookshop so all in all quite a find for us and there is parking too. We popped next door to the garden centre and then came here for tea and cake. Delicious and the café is run by volunteers! Highly recommend.

Last week I travelled on the heritage Wensleydale Railway going through some of the best scenic Yorkshire Dales countryside from Bedale to Redmire. On the return ride, I stopped off in the delightful market town of Leyburn and the Station Cafe, "Arthur's" where I enjoyed a slice of homemade Victoria sponge and Brymor ice cream for afters! My next visit, which I will be making very soon, I will be trying Mandy's homemade elderflower and lemon drizzle cake A great day out with the Station Cafe and shop to stop by and watch the steam trains passing by!Susan T.

Stopped off at the station cafe while travelling on the Wensleydale Railway, and found a little gem. With Black Sheep Beer and cake to die for, this is a great spot to relax while watching the trains go by.

On edge of village in mini light industrial area of Reeth a few minutes from green. Well run. Nice food. Couple of alley tables. No real view though.

Quirky for sure but very friendly and very keen to please. The soup we had was delicious and having leaf tea was a treat. Scones on the table is a lovely idea but a cover would be better. Lovely chat with the proprietor and really good at engaging with our whole family.

Went for tea after being at Catterick races. Got to say the lasagne was one of the nicest I have ever had and my hubby said his steak pie was beautiful.
