We called in for a coffee. Lovely cafe. All the food looked delicious. I bought a wholemeal loaf and cannot say how lovely it tastes! A million times better than ordinary shop bought bread. The good people of Reeth are lucky to have you🙂. Also bought cherry and amaretto jam which is lovely. Cannot recommend this cafe highly enough 🙂.

We popped in for lunch last week, we live not far away. We buy the bread in Hawes every week and it is the best bread you can get as far as we are concerned. The reason I would not recommend the cafe fully is they have let us down twice now for lunch. I went in on several occasions where I had the most beautiful lunch. Veg curries, another interesting dish on a separate occasion. This was at 11.45-12.30 ish. I was raving about the food. Now every time we go in it is soup or a very boring sandwich, served with crisps. Everyone in the Dales serves crisps and coleslaw with boring sandwiches. This cafe was an amazing refreshing change please don’t stop making those wonderful lunch dishes.

Just returned from a week's stay at Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales and finished off an absolutely wonderful feta cheese and vegetable pie for dinner. We were fortunate to stumble upon the Two Dales Bakery. French villages may occasionally offer a memorable artisan boulangerie/patisserie, Two Dales Bakery is a comparable gem. This week we had breakfasts, takeaway lunches for our walks and pazza Thursday for dinner. The cinnamon sugar puff pastry, croissants, sausage rolls, cornish pasties, malthouse square tin loaf, all exceptional, most were the best we have eaten. Thank you, a truly exceptional bakery.

We sat outside in some rare winter sunshine and enjoyed our snack. I had the most delicious hot chocolate I have ever tasted and my hubby had a coffee and a sausage roll-all freshly baked/freshly prepared. It's obviously a big hit with locals and cyclists and there was a non stop stream of customers. They do pizza nights!

Stopped off in Reeth with my old dog for a bite to eat. Staff very welcoming to both me and my dog. The dog and I shared a bacon sandwich in a freshly baked brown roll - and we both really enjoyed it. I had a very tasty chicken, leek and ham pie as well, which was equally tasty. I managed to bag a quiet sofa in the corner with my dog - comfortable and quiet, where we watched people coming and going all morning. Lots of locals seem to come in for their morning bread and also to eat, which is a good sign. Will be back when I'm next in Reeth.

Overpriced Popped in at 12.20 and it was shutting, despite the sign right outside the door saying it closes at 14.30 Lady at counter asked person in kitchen (who we didn’t see) if still service and she said, only takeaway, which was fine Too at least 10 minutes to make two sandwiches Asked for brown - both got white 1 x roasted pepper and hummus 1 x Yorkshire ham and mustard Hummus almost non existent, peppers tasteless and old mixed leaves. Ham average Won’t be going back and my husband said worst sandwich in years. You get much better value at the bike centre down the road and lovely customer service. Totally underwhelmed

I live locally and usually drop in here for their wonderful coffee (cappuccino) every Friday. Sometimes I have lunch here or just a cake with my coffee, but today I tried their French toast with maple syrup, fresh berries and creme fraiche. Oh my life was it just wondrously delicious!! If you like waffles and also remember ‘eggy bread’ then this is definitely for you, it is worth the wait and if I thought my hips were a lot slimmer I’d have another helping!!! This could be my new Friday treat!!!! Always a warm welcome here, and good food…the music playlist is really good too👍👍👍👍

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Unfortunately we arrived quite late (2pm) so a fair few items had sold out, but what we did order was delicious! After the glowing reviews I was really looking forward to my hot egg and bacon roll for breakfast with a cup of tea….the tea was wishy washy and the roll was tasteless, dry and powdery, egg was nice but bacon hard and lacking flavour! Later on in the week I thought I’d try again and bought a small, artisan loaf which was disappointing…again dry and tasteless…. such a shame! Try the ‘Dales Cafe and Cakery’ just down the road instead which serves delicious homemade food and cakes and an excellent breakfast bap!

Went in for the very first time today and ordered two coffees and a cake. I was left waiting ages. There were only two other couples who were already served and eating their food. The woman who served me couldn't put two and two together and work out that we had no drinks or food, instead conversing with a colleague and ignoring me when I approached the counter to politely ask for some water with my order. I enjoyed the food and coffee, but the customer service was non existent. I hope the owners read this review because if it had been my business, I would have got rid of her. You don't leave/ignore customers who have paid for food, only for them to have to ask where its got to. She didn't even apologise!

Just thought I would take the opportunity and time to give credit where it’s due! I have read through some of the reviews from 2022 and can only imagine that there was a hang over from Covid , or there must have been different owners? I couldn’t praise this establishment highly enough. This is the only Pub in the small hamlet of Redmire , and the centre of the community. It was a wonderful mixture of friendly ambience with excellent traditional food. 3 of us visited in June , and after dining on the Monday, we ate there for the rest of the week, and never had anything other than a good meal, trying different dishes every night! We are returning again in August , and will probably dine again every evening during our vacation. This is a fantastic local pub serving quality traditional food made from locally sourced produce. If people are expecting Haute cuisine, then they need to manage their expectations, and probably dine elsewhere, leaving more capacity for the customers that appreciate it. As far as we are concerned…. Well done and keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
