Absolutely first class curry,and large portions .

We often get a take away from here and thoroughly enjoy every mouth full. But tonight’s was exceptionally good! Especially the garlic chilli chicken tikka which had so much flavour. Everything was fresh and very flavourful, including the cheesy naan. Thank you!!

Cannot fault the food. We visited and ordered a take away to collect. The curry was excellent, and the pilau rice was exceptional. Great value for money, only wish we lived in this location to order on a regular basis.

Ordered the meal for two by phone and it was ready to collect in 30 minutes. Overall a very, very tasty meal which I would definitely recommend.

I have chicken vindaloo every time and the curry is very tasty. The portion sizes are very good,and the price is fair. All the side dishes and sundries are spot on. The best indian in leyburn.

We have an amazing takeaway every time we order, and it's been a regular for the family for years! Favourite things would be the onion bahjis and the lovely mint sauce with them. Great tikka as well.

I have ordered food from Rupali for years and it has always been really good tastey, good portion sizes and always very friendly.

Never disappointed , and we use the takeaway as our first option when the family visit. We believe this is the best value and taste we have in the county.

Ordered Chicken Korma and Vegetarian dinner for 2. Chicken korma was incredibly sweet (desert sweet) with little flavour and it was really quite hard to differentiate between the vegetarian dishes. The Veggie biriyani was flavoured rice with frozen veg, potatoes and onions. None of it was anything special, lacking in flavour but not offensive. Only cash and they told us that it was going to take another 45 mins after we'd paid- needless to say it took longer than that. Won't be going back.

Shared a butter chicken with naan and rice. Super good curry. The (presumably) owner was so lovely and gave us free popadoms which was very kind! Quick service as well would definitely go here again!

Ordered set meal for two last night. Thought we would give it another go as wasn’t great last time. So glad we did excellent take away and very tasty . A lot of mixed reviews on here and people will make their own judgements

Absolute scruff drops food on dirty floor and puts it back in pans and trays don't eat here. Kitchen is really scruffy and dirty. Also to top that off I used to live in flat above. He basically completley wrecked my flat doing building work that never got completed. And caused major structural damage to building. I'm supprised the building hasn't collapsed. Basically forcing me to relocate to another place. And have to quit my full time job there. He wants locking up basically absolute liar and money grabbing man.

Ordered takeaway at 5.30. 5 dishes and 5 rices, was told it would be ready at 6.45. Arrived at 6.45 to find people who were told to pick up at 6.15 still waiting for food. Finally got our order at 7.30, 2 hours after ordering. However, the curry was delicious and can’t fault it, big portions. It was very expensive for what we ordered and there was no apologies for the wait time.

To be honest the food tasted ok but looked awful very sloppy brown type substance. Would not recommend

We placed an order for 13 people after a stay at Redmire. Staff managed to fulfil our order and still deliver on taste (and it was still hot). Not much to dislike - will return again when back in the area

Food is consistently great from here and fast service too never had to wait more than half an hour for an order. Really big portion sizes.

Not bad but loads of room for improvement. Rice was very poor, chicken tikka only passable but sauces were quite nice. Poppadoms seemed stale. Overall, wouldn't go back but we have had worse.

Dont know what people find to dislike about this place couldnt get in to local pub for a meal so hubby went out to get a take away ..we were staying in carlton in coverdale so it was a good 15 mins drive but it was hot and tasty We love indian food and go to some really good resturaunts but it wasnt bad at all weve deffo had worse and the price was good too

Its honestly with regret that I have to say this was handsdown the worst 'indian' meal I've ever eaten. Every dish was 30% oil, and while the menu says 'heavily spiced' there was virtually no flavour... at all. The garlic nan didn't even smell like it was ever in a room with garlic, the garlic mushrooms the same.... and they clearly came out of a can and just tasted waterlogged and vile. If you've ever had great Indian, save yourself and get a chinese from down the road.

Advertises as open. We were here for four nights and closed all of the time. Menu flyers say “Open every day from 5.30pm” No signs to explain closure. I suspect that it may have ceased trading.

ordered a takeaway for our family, came waited a long while even though we had been told it would be an hour, paid, and went home to discover they had gotten our order wrong, went back and waited even longer for them to remake our order, when brought the food I made the worker reassure me that all of our order was there and went home to eat as we had ordered at 6:30 and it was now 9:00 to find that it was once again incorrect. We called the business demanding a full refund for the money we spent on the food our fuel wastage of 2 trips to and from the business (20 mins away one way) and for the time we had wasted waiting. The worker agreed to a full refund and said he would call us back. Upon calling us back they said they would not refund us and would only refund us a small portion of the whole order and was blatantly rude to my sister who made the first call and my mother who answered their call back, extremely poor service and will never go back here as they always mess up our orders (this is the third time in a row).

Visited Aysgarth holiday park and went to the Rupali Balti for a take away. Absolutely lovely food, all the dishes were very tasty including the tikka masala and korma. Plus they included a lot of free extras with our meal as we made a larger order :)

Fancied a take away while staying in Carlton so went and picked it up Lamb Rogan ..Josh Rupali special chicken dish and chicken tikka massalla pialu rice and a portion of chips Food was just about Edible sorry to say none of us enjoyed it the currys were watery and not much taste

Superb takeaway. The portions are large and very tasty. Onion bhajis spot on, raita the best we have had. We even got given pompadoms and chutneys given to us. Couldn’t fault it.

Placed an order husband collected it and every single item was wrong. Garlic naans were plain, chicken tikka bhuna was plain frozen chicken and butter chicken was korma. Rang to ask them to correct it or refund us and the idiot man was rude, argued and hung up on me! Food was vile, bland and disgusting.

We decide to call here of a takeaway in early May. What a good choice, there seemed to be only one man working talking orders and cooking the food. We had a bit of a wait but it was worth it. We were offered free drinks from the fridge because of our wait. I would definitely go again.

A good takeaway with good food at a very reasonable price. Sometimes a long wait as they do get busy but that is a sign of how good it is

I've often thought that all takeaways are the same but they're not. The food here is freshly cooked and takes a little longer so it's worth phoning first but it's worth the wait. The chicken dansak is the best I have ever had and I've eaten a lot of them.

Staying at a cottage in Hawes and stumbled across this Indians while visiting Leyburn.

Unbelievable much choise of dishes. And also vegetarian. Good quality. Great help from the staff if you are not familiair with Indian food.

We ate in this restaurant last Saturday, we were staying in Leyburn whilst on a walking holiday. Despite being very busy, the food and service were excellent. Looking forward to getting back in there.

I can't comment on the other reviews, but as a customer for the past year I've never had anything but good food from Rupali. Excellent curries and friendly service. Recommended

Terrible, ordered two currys one medium and one korma. Both currys were both exactly the same curry and both were about as hot as a vindaloo! Couldn't even eat any of them! Had no taste and was too hot to eat. Had to give up and then called to complain, and the customer service was rude and unhelpful, wouldn't even accept the fact they made a mistake. Would not recommend, bad all round.

Staff and service always excellent, friendly and helpful. Everytime we order food we get popadoms on the house. Curry is always tasty and good value for money!

Me and my friend had traveled over for a night away and decided to get an Indian...was great service but the food was shocking! I have never had such a boring curry in my life! Plus the chicken was under done and the curry was so watery! The naan bread was ok though

Half term away with the kids and our annual visit to Yorkshire. We stayed near Aysgarth Falls and as always I worked out where my nearest Indians was as I usually have 3 in the week as a treat. I rang my order in from a menu I had picked up earlier in the day (Leaflet holder outside shop). To be honest that's the only thing they've got right - a good idea. I drove the 7 miles to pick it up and the guy in the takeaway was very pleasant and he even put 3 free onion bhaji s and pompadoms in. When I get back to our lodge the food was still piping hot, but unfortunately was very poor in both taste and quality. Very very disappointing as all 3 of us left the majority of our various meals. Never again.

Thoroughly enjoyable Indian takeaway, always cooked fresh, never had a bad meal. Can sometimes take a little while for orders to be prepared, but they're always worth the wait.

For fantastic authentic indian cuisine. Make sure you have a meal here. One of the best curries going. You wont regret it. Cooked exactly to your personal liking.

We always use Rupali even though we though its 20 minutes away, we have been going here for over 10 years. We live in Scotton and have a few indians within a 5 minute drive, none of them can live up to Rupali, The chicken jalfrezi is so nice my favourite i always order lots of mint raita for the poppadum. Worth ringing up and ordering as it can get very busy especially on a weekend, don't take card but there is a cash machine 1 minute walk away so no big deal. Usually get free pop aswell.

Thought we'd try this take away for a change from the other Indian in town. So glad we did - both of us had the best curry we'd ever had, hot, on time, with free poppadoms & chutney and great value for money. Can't recommend this place enough

Had many meals from Rupali and not had cause to complain. Friendly helpful staff and great meals. Being unable to pay by card I would say is the only drawback, but HSBC cashpoint not too far away.

Had a takeaway from here. Did not have a menu so ordered in the shop. Very quickly made. Only down side was that cards are not accepted as payment. Got free pappadoms and dips. Really large portion sizes. Will order one rice next time as two is too much.

Me and my husband regularly have take-outs from rupali. Always lovely food, excellent value, and they always throw in extra poppadoms and pickles free of charge!!

The food was well packaged, was not drowning in fat, and looked and tasted great. We ordered by phone and it was ready within ten minutes of our arrival to pick it up.

Absolutely love a trip to the rupali, it is the 1st stop when in the area. Me and my family have tried a few meals and are never disappointed. My personal favourite is the chicken tikka jalfrazi. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly and always remember us. We even get a Christmas card off them!

Hello Having moved and living in the village of Reeth, about 8 miles from Leyburn, it is the best takeaway i have ever experienced,friendly willing staff,food cooked to perfection,in the 3 yrs i have been using this restaurant,the food has been exceptional, with often as been said before free popadoms & 3 tubs of accompanying sauces' would highly reccomend this wonderful restaurant t o all who visit Leyburn

Have been using the Rupali for years and really enjoy their dishes. Veg Jalfrezi is easily the best and will continue to try different dishes. Our visitors often say this is much better than their own local takeaways
