This remains a superb place to visit and eat. Especially love the paintings on the wall by supremely talented local artists. Bring culture to rural outposts.

I needed somewhere that delivered a Sunday roast due to recovering from heart surgery and I came across this place nearby that did just that. Once it arrived it was hot and smelt amazing. The portions were very generous and the food tasted absolutely amazing! Me and my kids absolutely enjoyed every bit. It was all homemade even the Yorkshire puddings. We even have the puddings and the crumbles were excellent. Honestly this place is a little gem and we will certainly be repeat customers. Thank you all for a lovely meal

We visited Bengal Village to celebrate a family birthday and as always we were welcomed and made to feel at home. This is a key difference to many other restaurants we visit, this team under the guidance of Faz, take an interest in you, they are respectful and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and they really want you to have the experience you want. This time we wanted to spend a lazy evening eating great food and enjoying each other’s company so we were seated at a great round table and were treated to a selection of Faz’s choices in addition to our own favourite foods. The food never fails to disappoint in this restaurant and whether you are spending a whole evening or popping in for a basic tea after work you never feel pressured for time or to order more food if you want a light meal. This team regularly hold events to support charities, this is a Barton Upon Humber gem and well worth a visit, whatever your occasion.

The snug area with the huge table is a lovely space, we really enjoyed celebrating my daughter birthday here. The restaurant was surprisingly busy in early January, which just shows how fab it is. We were a table of ten, the food came out hot and there wasn’t one complaint. We waited a while to be served food but this suited us, we didn’t feel rushed, the waiters were attentive and kept the cocktails topped up. I’ve never had a bad meal here 🎊

A very very tasty English breakfast, the bacon was scrumptious, probably the best I've tasted in a long time :-)

Popped in here on an ad-hoc detour to get something to eat & drink (5pm ish). Building looked like an old fashioned type of place and advertised food outside the front door. Parking in the old stable courtyard around the back. Tight bar, low ceilings but offered good ales. The chef spotted as and told us that if we wanted food, Stew and Dumplings were fresh and a special of the day. Very much a locals pub, bar flies were friendly, TV on with no sound (News) and best of all. NO MUSIC and could have a conversion without shouting over any noise. Grub was bang on (Stew, dumplings, mash and veg) and a massive portion. £8 quid. Mrs. had Scampi, a mountain of chips and a lorry load of peas which she said was really good. Also £8 quid. Great pub, great grub, well poured beer and nice welcome surroundings. Rough and ready, no frills good honest place.

In my experience the food used to be excellent, however, today we orded soup and a toastie and it was terrible. The soup was warm not hot and it tasted bland. The toastie was supposed to be a cheese toastie but you could hardly see or taste the cheese. In comparison to other cafes in the area the food was below standard. We were very disappointed.

Lovely welcoming cafe. Friendly staff and a homely warm place. Cosy surroundings, with a roaring fire. Food was delicious. I had a sausage sandwich served hot on brown bloomer bread. My friend had a sausage and bacon sandwich with looked equally good. I would return again
