My wife and I had breakfast. She had the journey man I had the head gardener, which had an extra hash brown, sausage, slice of bacon and egg. The food was very tasty and beautifully cooked. The staff and owner were polite, helpful, friendly and welcoming. We will be visiting again. Thank you.

Lovely sandwiches, filled to the edges with fresh ingredients. The posh Fish sandwich was fantastic. Really good friendly service even though really busy. Was last day before closing for holidays so limited menu, however a group of cyclists came in and played around the ample depleted menu and every question was answered with yes I can do that.

My wife and I visited Deepdale today for the first time, partly because we had read a recent poor review that seemed ticked off that they wanted to treat their cooking staff in a humane manner. We were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming way and, despite the Sunday menu being quite restricted, we still had a lovely meal of gorgeous bacon and sausage baps. We then had a look round, bought a hydrangea, and even found time to sit and chill on a bench, looking at some stunning views over fields. Independent garden centres are few and far between and should be supported. You can just tell that a lot of love has been poured into the place. We loved it and will DEFINITELY be going again for the food, the lovely staff, and its unique family atmosphere.

A lovely place just the right size some garden centres you walk miles round them.We visited the Cafe it was lovely and warm with a log burner. The food was very nice and reasonable prices. I bought two lovely plants half price for my garden. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They had some beautiful stuff in their shop.I would definitely recommend to anyone. Until next time.

We found this place simply by chance and it's a little gem in Lincolnshire. We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The tables are nicely spaced out so you're not too close to people around you with various tables to seat smaller or larger groups. We visited with the intention of having breakfast, the food was delicious, the service was great too, attentive but by no means intrusive. A fabulous find and a place we will be visiting again in the near future.

Its been a couple of years since last I visited here. My previous times eating here I was always happy with the quality of food and the menu. Today, however, not only the food but also the experience was very disappointing. From being corralled in a small space between a closed door and plastic tape to wait for a table to be cleared for us and pointedly told to look at the specials board before ordering it was not a good start. I will speak only of my own meal though there were three of us and two meals left much to be desired. My own order of Fish and Beer Battered Grimsby Haddock was one of the poorest of its kind I have had for a long time. The fish itself was dry, rubbery and had little flavour and the batter was a disaster, too thick and badly cooked. A press of the knife or fork left oil or fat oozing from the surface and pooling on the soggy batter. Unfortunately I had decided at that point not to complain but simply to leave as soon as we had all had sufficient as some time had been already taken up in trying to correct another of of meals and I didn't want us, as a table, to be seen as "Complainers". In most places I would have brought it to their attention regardless but the realisation sunk in that they made us pay for the meals before receiving them. I did wonder about that at the time but now I wonder less than I did. One meal arrived on a slab of slate, my meal arrived with a piece of printed paper to mimic newspaper adorning the plate with chips and fish piled on top of it (how do you scrape the paper off what you are about to eat when it sits beneath fish dripping in oil or fat?). I'm sure its meant to be "classy" to have such adornments as slate and paper but it really isn't. The whole experience was a big disappointment. Not good value and not tempted to go back.

We have been to the cafè at Deepdale Garden Centre many times over the last five years and the food seems to get better and better. Today was the first time we took our dog Bailey with us. Bailey is 17 now and nearly completely deaf and blind. The ladies in the cafè smiled as soon as they saw him. One of the ladies asked if Bailey could have a sausage and subsequently brought him out a chopped up sausage which he absolutely loved. We both had sausage butties today which were delicious but I'd also recommend the club sandwiches and the fish & chips. All of the staff are lovely and friendly. It's always immaculately clean too with great decorations.

I chose the cafe as a halfway stop between home and a conference I was attending near Scarborough. And how lucky I was to be greeted by Sarah after a rainy journey, driving over flooded and waterlogged roads. My coffee and daisy lime pie were great, and Sarah also told me about the filling station in Barton itself: I managed to save 13p a litre there compared to the one on the main road; so thank you for this too! On my return journey Bill and the staff sorted me out with a takeaway tea, the cafe having already closed. This place oozes hospitality. Thank you to all staff concerned, and I am sure to return.

The family and staff at Bike and Bean Cafe Deepdale Garden Centre are very welcoming. The last table had just been taken when we arrived but as there was a big space in the middle of the cafe they put and extra table in for us. There was still 2 meters between us and the next table. The food was excellent. We both had the Farmhouse burger although I requested mine without the bun. It wasn't a problem. Facilities are clean. The shop has some interesting items, well worth a browse and great for buying unusual Christmas presents, which I did. When we left Bill came over to say goodbye to us which was really nice.

What a lovely welcome. We were out on our motorcycle and decided to call in for lunch. Hand sanitiser was available on entry. If needed, it is possible to leave helmets etc securely just inside the front door. The lovely lady who showed us to our table explained the current ordering, payment system very clearly. We enjoyed a lovely meal of ham, a huge golden yolked egg and the best chips served with a lovely pickle. To round off the meal we had a slice of delicious black forest gateaux with 2 forks to share. Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere. will definitely be going back. Recommend for bikers especially. It was nice to be somewhere that other customers were also abiding by the current rules and regulations regarding social distancing and wearing masks.

This is a lovely coffee shop and the staff were very friendly giving excellent service. I ordered the Chunky Sausage Bap at £4.95 and my husband had the Chunky Bacon and Sausage Bap at £5.95. When it came mine consisted of 2 of the smallest sausages I have ever seen. Being advertised as ‘Chunky Sausage Bap’ I expected a lot more. The roll had no substance and squashed down to nothing one bitten in to. I have been to other coffee shops in the area where I have paid £3.95 for a sausage Bap which consisted of 2 good sized butchers sausages. £2.50 for a tiny pot of tea I felt was also overpriced. This was a very disappointing visit for a lovely looking coffee shop.

With homemade cakes and desserts available our visit was bound to be a popular destination.Marked down from excellent because there is little natural light in the cafe and therefore a bit dimsy. It has been built within the structure of an agricultural building so all the lighting is artificial. That being said the grub was first rate with a Lemon Meringue Pie that had (allegedly) been made as a one off special that day. Special it was, with a strong flavour of REAL lemons not the artificial stuff. We have since returned but there was no Lemon Meringue to be had. We live in hope.

Not the best Experience. Felt that two small cups of tea priced at £5 excessive. When we sat to have our drinks at 15.25 all we listened to was the young man with the loud voice on the till telling his colleagues that they were closing in 35mins, 30mins, 25mins etc etc. We left the empty cafe at 15.40, the young man was on his mobile telling somebody that ‘ the last customers are leaving now!’ Not the inviting, relaxing ambience we thought we were paying top prices for!! Had a walk round the gift shop, its got so much character. A lot of thought has gone into it. There were some lovely, unusual gifts, which made such a change from the usual things you see at the big garden centres. The owner and all the staff were very friendly and chatty. Visited again recently and had a fantastic burger, super quality and the colour of the egg yolk was a treat for the eyes. Only thing I suppose that could take this to the next level would be hand-cut chips, however that's splitting hairs, because the chips that came with it were good. What a gorgeous garden centre and cafe. I usually head to the garden centres out Hedon way but from now I'll definitely make the extra effort to head out to Barton - the chocolate orange cake is worth the trip any day! I took my mum for lunch last Saturday as an early Mother's Day treat and we both loved it. I had a scrummy jacket potato (which came with lots of lovely sides - coleslaw, crisps, salad!), and my mum went for the homemade quiche - delicious! Gorgeous views with good service by friendly staff all marred by undercooked commercial bought in Quiche with soggy bottom and big fat nothing in the middle chips. Burger with a half melted square slice of transfat cheese served between two halves of soggy pappy bun. It had been stabbed with a knife to try and make it look trendy, saving me the trouble. Someone had tried but the result was uninspiring junk. Are chips so difficult to make yourself without having to buy frozen? No passing trade so I would have thought they would need repeat customers, will not call again.

This is my favourite local cafe, but i prefer to think of it more of an upscale cafe. The food is wonderful, especially the all day breakfasts and the gardeners lunch. All produce is locally sourced and fresh, the sausages are traditional lincolnshire and the thick carved ham is delicious. Everything is home made including the wonderful quiche, pies and cakes, by the wonderful cook. There is a fantastic selection on the menu ranging from teacakes to steak pie, burgers or salads. The selection of homemade cakes look amazing but I can never find the room to eat them. Coffee is exceptional as its freshly ground. The setting is very cosy with a roaring log burner and comfy leather chairs if preferred. Staff are always friendly and helpful, the garden centre is worth a look too, especially in the spring and summer, have a peep at the pet pigs, they're enormous. Never had a bad experience yet, in the summertime you can sit outside on really comfortable patio sets. Be careful of the farmers cutting the fields though, I made this mistake and got sprayed with hay chippings and fertiliser. The owners kindly replaced all of my food and drinks for free.Great selection of independent arts and crafts and homemade produce too. It's not cheap, a meal for 2 with coffee can set you back £25 but the quality is worth it as a treat. This is also a great place for cyclists and walkers, the cafe provide energy gels as well as protein bars and cake for those energy dips. For dog lovers like myself, they accept well behaved dogs and even have cosy beds, there is also a good pet selection in the garden centre. In the better months Deepdale is a beautiful little hamlet set in the Lincolnshire hills, on a clear day it's stunning. The garden centre sells everything from stone chippings to local honey. Well kept nursery with very healthy plants. I would say it's not really wheelchair friendly though as the outside parking is gravel and the nursery is on tarpaulin which is quite uneven.

I had the steak pie with chips and vegetables and my wife the burger and chips. The steak in the pie was very lean and everything was very tasty and well cooked. Portion sizes were very generous. Another visit is a a must.

This hidden gem is absolutely amazing! Its got it all! A, lovely garden centre, friendly obliging staff, & a cafe serving the most delicious homemade food we've ever tasted. The cakes are unbelievable & we always love Celia's steak pies. We would definitely recommend this garden centre & cafe.We used to visit before the cafe was extended & thought it was great but the new extension is really impressive. Well thought out Bill.

Called on a one off when on holiday in the area. Pleasant, clean surroundings & friendly staff. Simple ordering system then the but needs more than one person. Friendly assistant but you cannot take drink, food orders and make the drinks. It was the disappointment of our visit. Cake arrived and eaten had to ask where our drinks where.

The Garden Centre has a lovely cafe, which is worth a visit, serving freshly prepared meals with a good choice. Lovely cakes as well! The staff here and in the store are very friendly and helpful and make the visit very enjoyable. A good range of products and plants - would recommend!

Excellent garden centre and cafe. A friendly greeting at the entrance (by the owner?). We enjoyed seeing the pigs and the garden centre itself was very peaceful and uncommercialised with lovely scenic views.

1st visit yesterday with husband and two daughters. Food was excellent. Gardeners Lunch - quiche, ham, bread roll, apple, chutney, salad and an individual bottle of salad dressing - all looked great served up on a slate and tasted delicious. Ordered a slice of brie too to go with this too. Chicken, bacon and cheese baquette and a side of chips was also delicious (yes we shared). Sun was shining beautifully so we sat outside. Staff very friendly and everything was clean. Will definitely be going back to try something else. Great gifts and plants available to purchase too so win win in my eyes.

We got a table near the kitchen and it was fasinating watching the ladies producing the delicious food. It was good teamwork and communication. The steak pie was very tasty and was served with sweet potatoes, veg and lovely thick gravy. The chocolate Aero cheesecake was yummy and they make a good cappuccino. I look forward to going back.

Visited at lunch time with a friend & received a very warm welcome from extremely friendly staff. Our meals were prepared to order & this home cooked food was extremely tasty, served beautifully & our plates were clean when finished - always a good sign. There is a fine selection of snacks, meals & a specials board to choose from all at reasonable prices. Good to find such a genuine family run business where everyone aims to please. There is also a garden centre & gift shop for a pleasant time browsing.

Driving by one afternoon, spotted this place and called in. As a Garden Centre / Nursery we found it quite good, with some unusual and out of the ordinary plants. A nice place to browse!

on a quest to find the best pie in the county ... First visit to this place ... greeted warmly by the staff ... Cafe not too busy but have a feeling it is used by locals as well as travellers... Sat close to the kitchen area which was a bit of a mistake as the smell of frying clung to my clothing for some time afterwards... Coffee was great ... roasted in house I believe... the cakes and pastries looked lovely and fresh but my quest was the the beef pie... it came served with the obligatory peas and carrots ... a choice of potatoes/fries ... It was a proper pie! (crust top and bottom) made with suet pastry and crammed with succulent beef in gravy (proper gravy)... gravy served seperatly which i appreciate as i hate it when the crust is covered in gravy ... portion was large and struggled to finish it ... but I did... a decent meal for under £10 .. vegetarian options available.. although I didn't have it the all day breakfast looked nice.

We visited previously for breakfast and service was very slow but food nice so did not worry. We thought we would try again for midweek lunch. Place fairly busy. We ordered chips, sandwiches tea and coffee. Tea and coffee took 35mins to arrive......drank and finished....food came 50 mins after ordering. Yes they have signs up saying everything made fresh to order and "all good things come to those who wait" etc, etc....But fresh or not 50mins for chips and sandwich is ridiculous.

Myself. husband and brother in law made our first visit here yesterday. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner . We then went on to have delicious late breakfasts. All the staff in the cafe were so friendly. Bought a few things after a look at all the wares and the young man on the till was extremely friendly too. Cannot fault the service or the food and wish you every success in the future.

Having read reviews we made a special journey over the Humber Bridge to visit this cafe on a Saturday afternoon. So pleased we did; despite being about 20 minutes after they had stopped serving meals the friendly ladies said to choose from the menu and they would do it for us...what excellent service! The warm quiches were generous and delicious. And the chips beautifully cooked. Salad came with a very nice mustard dressing served alongside. Thank you so much for going out of your way to cater for us.

Popped in here on an ad-hoc detour to get something to eat & drink (5pm ish). Building looked like an old fashioned type of place and advertised food outside the front door. Parking in the old stable courtyard around the back. Tight bar, low ceilings but offered good ales. The chef spotted as and told us that if we wanted food, Stew and Dumplings were fresh and a special of the day. Very much a locals pub, bar flies were friendly, TV on with no sound (News) and best of all. NO MUSIC and could have a conversion without shouting over any noise. Grub was bang on (Stew, dumplings, mash and veg) and a massive portion. £8 quid. Mrs. had Scampi, a mountain of chips and a lorry load of peas which she said was really good. Also £8 quid. Great pub, great grub, well poured beer and nice welcome surroundings. Rough and ready, no frills good honest place.

A busy place for golfers in a great location. Lots of parking in a spacious car park. Accessible for everyone. The club house is fantastic with food and drink available for those who want it, including friendly staff members. Fantastic views of the course from the club house. Looking forward to my next visit.

The phone number is defunct and the venue is completely shut despite it being in the middle of their published hours. I suspect that it has closed down.

A little disappointed really, service was really good, but the food average - ordered the chicken kebab which was just okay, not brilliant. But the most disappointing aspect was ordering our dessert, but as we were after 9pm the kitchen had closed. We were late diners, arrived at 8.15 but when we ordered our main we mention we would like a dessert so when we were faced ordering and told, sorry the kitchen is now closed, we were left very disappointed indeed - not good really as the staff should have really come to us, but didn't. Ho hum - we dined out the second evening, great meal locally, far superior food and service.

Drinks and service good One vegan option which is ‘Korean tacos’ - note they are not tacos they are deconstructed. No real substance that would be worth £20! Not worth it for the vegan options but drinks and service good.
