Had Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago. . Our dog was made very welcome, as were we. The food was lovely and the staff were first class. We can certainly recommend this place. We’ll be back!

Wow what a plate of food. Roast beef half an inch thick, must have been a pound in weight, succulent and tasty, excellently cooked vegetables and piping hot. 10/10. Only thing was the service from one of the young ladies was a bit lacking, it’s maybe a generation thing but didn’t spoil the meal. I would highly recommend having the Sunday lunch but make sure you’re hungry, it’s a right plate full. 😛

The food was beautiful but the blonde woman behind the bar was very rude and disrespectful. I was there with family. Ate our meal and I went outside for a cigarette. Went back inside to tell my partner we were ready to leave when I heard the woman saying..." oh I thought it was your mum (meaning me)..she looks old compared to you..you look very young.....fair to say I will not be going back to be disrespected by that woman again!!!!! Disgusting customer service

June and Barney are hosts with the most. They provide amazing facilities for our writing, poetry and arts groups and have done for years and years. Great platter meals for our celebration events are renowned. We love the place.

Just had the most amazing Sunday dinner here, it hit all the senses! Smelled amazing tasted amazing and Beautifully presented. Delicious meat, roast potatoes Yorki puds! Everything was amazing! And the cheesecake! Will definitely make this a Sunday tradition instead of a carvery! It was THE BEST FOOD I’ve ever had! I love a good roast dinner but this was everything and more! We have been going to the old mill for a while for Sunday lunch, cannot fault it one bit! Plenty of food on the sharing platters for the whole family, succulent meat, plenty of vegetables and the best stuffing I have had.

Had a really nice experience in The Old Mill. Barton upon Humber.. it has a really nice cozy feel about the place and has plenty of room and areas to have a meal or drinks. Excellent food and a large range of beers etc. A credit to June and Barney for running a warm and friendly pub. Highly recommended

I recently came here with with a group of friends. There was no real intention behind visiting other than it being lovely and sunny. The beer garden here is really ideal to be able to sit with friends and enjoy a nice glass of gin. The atmosphere inside is great. Not too busy that we can’t get served but busy enough that it doesn’t feel like a graveyard. The staff are very pleasant and friendly, nothing is too much for them. Giving that nice friendly vibe. There is plenty of inside seating along with outside. I have browsed the Sunday lunch menu which looks fantastic. This is next on our agenda. We can’t wait to come back to try the Beef platters!!

Had my usual tasty Chicken Gyros. I've tried most of the menu and it's always great food with generous portions.

I am amazed at some of the reviews for this pub.I have eaten there on a number of occaisions and have found the food excellent and well priced.Also I have attended a number of events during which catering was provided and in all cases a great night was had by all. The chef and indeed manager,Barney,is great at his job as is his wife June who always has time for customers and greets everyone with a chat and a warm welcome.What is also obvious is that they are very well thought of in the local community which brings in customers who are always assured of a warm welcome at the Old Mill.

I am usually with a group when I go to The Mill - Muse Poets, most often. It's a lovely venue for small meetings like ours, and we have also had events there with larger numbers attending. The food at these events is excellent, with everyone catered for. I'm vegan, and the menu offers several choices for me and for vegetarian friends. If I have any negative points, it can only be that the portions are absolutely MASSIVE! I tried Gyros last time I ate there, and could only manage half!

The only pub I will go to in barton! Every event for work we go here! I have been going for over 10 years and every time I am never disappointed! The food is incredible! The variety is brilliant and they are always happy to make changes to suit the customers! The atmosphere is nice and calm where you can have a drink and a chat! The owners Barney and June are fantastic and always going above and beyond! Sunday dinner, take away options, the Christmas dinner! And the burgers!! Brilliant

I have booked several functions on behalf of Millwriters and Barton Muse over the past few years at The Old Mill. Every one of them has been enjoyable and a success due to the hard work of June, Barney and their team.

Popped in for a meal on our way home from skegness. The pub was spotlessly clean and the staff were super friendly. Food was amazing and the cheesecake was to die for. Great cozy atmosphere with authentic surroundings. Will definitely be returning to this pub again. Highly reccomended.

Such a beautiful pub/mill ,staff are really on the ball and very friendly. The Sunday roast is to an excellent standard and veg is definitely locally sourced ,I even ate the carrots which I don't like normally. The beef was insanely tender .we will definitely be back . excellent food, excellent value for money. The 2 meat platter was loaded with meat, plenty of vegetables including cauliflower cheese green beans carrots and broccoli. Yorkshire puddings for everyone and plenty of crispy fluffy roast potatoes and mash. everything was cooked to perfection, the service was polite and we never had to wait long. overall excellent food, service and great value for money

I recently had my retirement party at the old mill, it was so easy from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble for June, Barney and the team. Had a lovely family meal here last Friday, the food was lovely, huge portions, we had mains, desserts and drinks, couldn't fault it, really friendly staff and great service, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The food here is excellent with a good choice of different meals and desserts. The portion sizes are very large.

Absolutely beautiful pub, nothing within Barton compares to it. It has now become a special place for my family and friends after a recent loss. A very big thank you to June and Sophie who always show us a lovely warm welcome.

There was 6 of us in our party it was booked by my sons they placed our order for food and drink our table was only laid out for 5 and 2 lots of food came then 4 more came came after they had finished 30 mins later great food but we expected all the food coming out together and on another table they had the same problem only brought 2 lots out then the other 2 out just before ours when we ordered before them

A really lovely place, lots of space and the food is really good and well priced. Steak pie (which actually had steak in it!!) with a mountain of fries, peas and lots of beef gravy, and a chicken supreme burger (the photo doesn't do it justice) with homemade chips which was fantastic. To top it off the bar staff working the day we went were great, welcoming, chatty and witty. Well worth a visit.

Me and the fam had a lovely meal last night. One of the best steaks I have had in a long while, cooked to perfection. Eating steak out is always hit and miss and this was a huge hit. Lovely friendly atmosphere, great bar staff, and fast service although the place was heaving. Very impressed all round. Staff a credit to the owners. Highly recommend. We wont hesitate to go back.

Enjoyed a fab meal here last week, all washed down with a few decent pints of Shipyards. None of your microwaved ready meals here. Each meal seemed to have been made from scratch by a very competent chef. We all loved it.

I would highly recommend The Old Mill for your Sunday lunch. We were a party of 4 and ordered the sharing carvery with beef and turkey. There was ample food for even the hungriest diner!! We booked ahead of time to save disappointment.

Afternoon steak and chips. Medium rare. Cooked to perfection. You could easily pay more elsewhere. And get a lot less value for money.

Four of us enjoyed our lunch here today. Steak pie, rump steak, McGiro and chicken giro. All very generous portions and very enjoyable. Well presented food in a comfortable pub environment. Highly recommend.

Was passing and thought we would give it a try, having never been before. What a great meal. The wife had the fish pie. She gave this 10 out of 10. I had the roast beef dinner. Again 10 out of 10. And the service was just as good as the food. Excellent all round.

They were very helpful with regards my gluten free queries, the food was good, but the wait for it was fooorrrevverrr. Glad it came when it did otherwise we would of had to cancel it. Staff were very pleasant. Tables were very clean.

Had a wonderful time, food was brilliant and well worth my hard earned. Other than some 15 or so rude customers who arrived with no warning, and were purposefully snide towards the staff, who dealt with the situation very well as they couldn’t fit all 15 in for food. A 10/10 will definitely visit again, very homely and welcome with excellent customer service even against these rude people!! Well done the old mill you have a brilliant attitude a must visit if in the area.👍

Great service, lively food anx atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Second time here, took my best friends and my mum and step dad. We had a really nice afternoon. Deffinately recommend, as they cater for vegetarians and the menus changes weekly.

Popped in today for a meal after a long drive we decided to have food so I had the Hunters chicken and the Mrs had the Sicilian Lasagna with Chips both were delicious and filling, highly recommended the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed I wish we had a place like this around our ends we would definitely visit if we are around here again.

So nice after a walk to go to the pub for lunch with good friends. We enjoyed our meals the service was excellent, and they did not mind in the least that we had four dogs, although I must stress they sat under our table and did not cause any trouble at all, in fact it was commented on they did not realise we had four dogs with us. Will be going back again

Thursday night 17 October 2019- I was charged £8.90 for one pint of Mansfield bitter and one gin and tonic - the gin was the cheapest house gin. This is absolutely ridiculous and a terrible rip off. No one goes in and is it any wonder? We will not be returning anytime soon .In the Volunteers Arms the same drinks are £6.50 - a difference of £2.40.

A brilliant old mill turned in to a great establishment for drinks and food. I would say if you go for a Sunday lunch as a party, then try the roast platter which is plentiful.

My wife and daughter and I had an amazing experience today at "The Old Mill". The place is spotless and the food to die for but for us the star(s) of the show are the staff. Polite, attentive and well trained but importantly they all wanted to be there and for you to have a great afternoon. We did send our compliments to the kitchen staff and we will be back.

We went for lunch yesterday. The food was served promptly and was hot and tasty. Unfortunately my scampi and chips was served with salad which, due to medical restrictions, I am nit allowed. This addition should perhaps be listed on the menu. The one inexcusable thing which spoiled the visit was the seat in the accessible toilet which was broken.

This is a short one...for me. Went as I'd seen this pub a number of times passing through. Ventured in for a teatime meal with my wife. The bar service was polite and hospitable....the landlady was especially welcoming. We ordered the pie and the lasagna and we were both really pleased with what we ordered. The pie was of the best I've had in a long time and my wife's Lasagna was full of beef and chorizo...really unusual and very tasty. The homemade chips were great as well......going that extra bit makes a big difference. The portions were generous and the food arrived in good time. We will be back for sure, likely to try the Sunday Lunch next.

Had a couple of meals here now and cannot express how good they are. Food is amazing. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Definitely eating here again very soon. This has also become my local. Staff are amazing too. 10/10 for everything. Highly recommended
