The White Swan in North Lincolnshire

The White Swan is a proper community pub, with friendly staff selling good real ale (rare in Barton). During the week the pub plays host to many local groups and societies, some organised but many just casual. On Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes they offer a really good brunch ranging from traditional breakfasts to more exotic fare. If in Barton a visit is highly recommended.

Had a lovely breakfast, service was excellent, very friendly and polite, food was freshly cooked and just how I asked for it, definitely be going again

We go here quite regularly as there is always a great choice of guest beers and it is kept really well. A proper old fashioned pub with a friendly welcome. We had brunch for the first time today after looking at it enviously a few times.... we were not disappointed. It was fantastic. We both had the traditional full English.. two fried eggs, bacon, two sausages, beans, mushrooms, hash browns, and tomatoes with toast and butter. And all for just £7.50 each, well worth every penny. Really delicious. Highly recommend this pub. (And the brunch!)

Usually pop in when out on a walk. Great selection of beers, always a nice welcome. We t this last Sunday to Swanfest , live music outside, kid friendly, food available and a fantastic atmospheres Hopefully they will have the beer festival again this year I think it is in August. Great Times to be had.

The White Swan is a nice traditional pub. There is a good selection of beers, lager and cider, including cask conditioned hand pulled, real ales. There is a dart board and TVs in the bar. The staff were friendly there is an outside seating area at the front of the pub. The pub is Iisted in the camra good beer guide.

Excellent, friendly service, very good value for money in a lovely relaxed atmosphere ,only popped in for coffee while out on the bike, definitely going again 😀

Very friendly host Lisa and her team always give a warm welcome. Great selection of drinks and the rear beer garden is a right hidden gem. Definitely try the brunch on a Saturday or Sunday.

Hills have eyes meets meets shameless. Staff aren't friendly, been in a few times to see if it gets better and it doesn't. Food is microwaved rubbish and the beer always tastes sou or has bits in it. Plus Lisa (I think she is the manager) is always hammered and either crying or flirting with everyone. Most awkward place I have tried to drink in. Me and my mates won't be returning.

Popped in for Sunday Brunch on spec, what a great decision it turned out to be!! The pub has a low key atmosphere and the fire is amazing. We were served by friendly and attentive people, food and drinks (tea and coffee) were out in good time. I had a breakfast, great taste and value, also has the sautéed mushroom and spinach. All food looked and tasted great. I would recommend The White Swan and will defo be back soon. Thank you

We Had one a full English and a Mushroom/spinich, cream cheeses on toast. The Mushroom dish had Chilli flakes on!!!! I can't handle chillies. The girl was lovely and changed it for me straight away. The food was all fresh and cooked well. We will be back. Good food, good price. Thank you.

Went to watch guitar/vocalist who was really good. Enjoyed a few drinks there with friends.

No traditional cider here, just bottled alcopop stuff in the fridge, never the less it’s an okay pub and the sausage rolls are good.

27 of us (walkers) had our Cmas meal here... Service, food, value for money, delightful staff, all wonderful. And they had Trifle.

We came last weekend for Sunday brunch which was very good, excellent Bacon 🥓 and Sausages.

This 'proper' pub just gets better! Beer garden great on warm days, inside warm and cosy on cold days. Always friendly banter, a great pub for a local and occasional visitor!

A great atmosphere and the mine hosts are without doubt some of the best in Barton. All I'm all a nice experience.

Beautifully cooked traditional breakfast this morning at the White Swan. Very tasty, very well presented at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended first class breakfast you will not be disappointed!

Staff are not friendly and make customers feel awkward. This, coupled with their refusal to sell any ciders except for their own custom brand (which is vile) makes for not a great experience, whenever my friends & I go out drinking now, we choose somewhere else.

Walked in to the pub and everyone stared at us. The landlady was behind the bar and rolled her eyes at us whilst we were deciding what to order. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly. I'm sure the locals love it but don't go if you're not from round there. It was clear that the place had recently been refurbished. The toilets were spacious and clean. But that's the only good thing. I'd be too scared to go back.

Went here for brunch with a couple of friends. My partner and I had the vegan Plant-based brunch. Service was friendly and everyone enjoyed their food - one of our party had the Large breakfast and said it was great. Would recommend!

Cane in here for a pint with some friends. On a Friday night it was dead. No atmosphere what so ever. No decent decor. The beer was OK. Nothing to shout about. Tables were very dirty and sticky and so was the bar for that fact. Land lady kept bothering us and flirting with us which made us all very uncomfortable. She then pestered us about whether we liked the place. When we told her that it was for us she proceeded to drunkenly start swearing and saying we weren't the type of customers they were wanting at their pub. If you like cougars and qbsoloute silence on a Friday night then come here!

Top venue, great friendly people and a brilliant selection on the bar, along with knowledgeable staff, has to be one of the best pubs on Barton.

Great real ale boozer, plenty of space indoors and out. Staff very friendly. Ideal location for a couple of drinks before going to Ropery Hall.

Went for a pint, as right next to train station. Land lady was sat in the bar area drunk as a skunk and crying..... very awkward. Then she proceeded to shout at someone in the back. Staff aren't friendly and my beer had a scummy film on top. Oh and did I mention my pie was still frozen In the middle?

Although it's a very nice public house, with pleasant staff, set within lovely surroundings my friend an I found the cask ales unpalatable.

Great place for a cider or two or three or more as the selection is massive.

Me and my partner came to town to enjoy weekend away, and felt so looked after! The staff was incredible, nothing was too much to ask, ladies behind bar overheard that my feet where hurting and got me new pair of socks! What a kind gesture, I will never forget how welcome the staff was and the locals, can’t wait to visit again, little things that has made our weekend to remember. So huge thank you!

We visit this pub quite often and have never been disappointed. We went this morning for brunch and it was delicious! Thoroughly recommend! There is so much choice for a brunch menu: we both had the full, traditional breakfast, but there were four or five dishes that I fancied and will choose one of them next time. Prices are reasonable, and the Covid stuff they have in place is thorough and works well.

Really enjoyed have a few nice pints in The White Swan, friendly staff and good pub garden. Highly recommend.

Great little pub and also served my favourite, Ghost Ship on Cask!!

We sat in the courtyard and the atmosphere was spot on. We had a few pints and a couple of whiskies which were perfect. The owners were run off their feet but were still cheery and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to go back.

I needed somewhere close to the venue Ropery Hall to attend a gig. The White Swan proved ideal. It was walkable to the venue, the room was very comfortable, the food very good (breakfast was excellent) and the landlord friendly and kept good beer. I would highly recommend the White Swan to anyone needing overnight accommodation in the area.

A very friendly pub that offers delicious meals and snacks along with a great variety of drinks. The White Swan is a valis supporter of real ales and ciders and often has guest beers available. One of the best beer gardens in Barton and very friendly management that always offer a warm welcome to everyone. Situated near the bus and train stops, this pub is worth a visit.

Fab staff and very friendly customers

This very average and not too friendly pub served everyday pub food which is not bad but far from brilliant. There is nothing particularly to dislike but we would not go back. The wii fi was not working and the staff were not bothered.

Me and my wife went for our dinner and was greatly pleased we came here, the food was lovely and plentiful I would recommend coming here if you want lovely home cooked meals .

All we want from a pub lunch is a decent sandwich with chips on the side and this is exactly what we got.Lovely crusty bread, great filling, plenty of tasty chips all for a great price. My daughter had the vegan burger and her partner had the bbq burger, both looked equally fantastic. Great service, lovely choice of flavoured ciders, willdefinately visit again.
