The singing kettle cafe in North Lincolnshire

Stop off occasionally on a Saturday or on my way to work. Smashing pots of tea and the food is awesome. Park in the bus station car park and it's a 2 minute walk. Well worth it, you'll easily miss it if you pass by in the car.

Food tasted ok but for what it was , it was expensive 10 /10 though for propper chips rather than frozen chips

Waited past 9am along with 4 other people for you to open at 9am, however nobody opened up. Myself and my wife gave up waiting and went elsewhere along with the 4 workmen who were waiting. I can't comment on the food as we didn't get to try it. Poor service!

Very good value for money and dog friendly

The review referring this place as the slums really should be taken off. I have recently moved to the town. The ladies running it couldn't be more warm and welcoming. Even asked me how I was settling in on my second visit. Very good choice on menu and a good price. Very clean place and very thoughtful service. This area is full of down to earth, honest people and this really shouldn't offend. Very friendly hard working young ladies. Hats off to them.

Breakfast : take out. Chips extra - well overcooked, greasy, soggy, toast burnt, eggs hard, beans only just above half way in small tub, hardly any mushrooms, tub of tomatoes missing, bacon extremely salty, sausages ok, overall heavy and greasy, very disappointing.

So nice, chicken wrap i had was lovely. Nice and hot. Nice and cosy in the cafe. Waitress was lovely aswell 😊. The atmosphere is nice would 100% recommend.

staff shown hostile behaviour towards me,the breakfast looked it had been microwave and the latte from shop bought packet The decor very dated needs freshening up like the staff. Plus it was very disgusting cafe with spills everywhere on the tables. It doesn't deserve a star.

Had a family breakfast here. Everything was great from the warm welcome on entering to the gorgeous food. We all enjoyed our choices and will definitely come back next time we are in Barton. Thank you so very much.

Unfortunately, this café has gone majorly downhill over the past couple of years. Service is nice, fairly friendly atmosphere, but everything else lets it down. The food, drinks and condiments used are of the poorest quality. Bacon was on the cusp of cooked, fried eggs were completely coated in oil, and portions are poor considering prices. Sloppy plate assembly, presentation clearly not considered; liquid from mushrooms, beans, oil were all mixed together on the bottom of the plate, making it look very unappetising. Tables and menus feel like they haven’t been wiped in weeks. Such a shame, I won’t be coming back again. My boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed. To the owners: Feel free to come over to my house, I’ll give you a free breakfast, and show you how it should be done! :)

Terrible presentation, certainly not what you would expect when eating out. Food slopped on the plate, beans and canned tomato running together ugh... Not exactly appetising. Ate here on Tuesday. Horrendous “coffee”. Dogs inside. Sticky tablecloths. Staff photos online show long acrylic nails no gloves….germ trap. Won’t be back. only decent looking thing is the cakes. New owners are not as pleasant

Really disappointed upon finding out that the kettles are the cafe actually did not sing. This, along with the lack of £3 morrisons meal deals was extremely jarring and caused me to have to go to the hospital. I am still taking physiotherapy to this day. The singing kettle cafe is a small cafe that makes good breakfast and lunches. Good food, service, friendly staff, good atmosphere and dogs welcome! The full English breakfasts are very tasty, and include hash browns too which is always a plus. Overall pretty great place to eat and have some tea or coffee.

Visited as it said, "Best Brekkie in Britton" in another review. Although it was good, the Reviewer obviously hasn't traveled much. Also, from a worker's point of view: As they don't open until 9, it's a late breakfast. I appreciate it's a small town, but there must be missed opportunities there.

Nice little place for a toasties n chips. We did turn up as they were getting ready to clear to close but were happy to serve. Chips were lovely. Good food at good price.

Had lunch here. The decor and the lunch menu were very dated. Their home-made chips were good but the rest of the food was very average with no side salad or similar. The coffee was poor.

Thought I'd stepped into a Karen's Diner ... I've never met a ruder customer assistant in my life, I thought I was being filmed as a wind up but seems not, I have used this place loads as the food is great and normally staff are too.. maybe a change in ownership as I don't recognise them.. couldn't tell you what the food was like this time as I left before it arrived even though it was paid for. Two other customers remarked that they can be a bit funny in here sometimes, so that's me done, loads more places in Barton to eat good luck

Great food friendly staff Recommend Breakfasts

We were visiting my husband's Dad in Barton and called in here for lunch first and I'm glad we did. The cafe has an immediate welcoming feel to it and the staff were very friendly. They don't skimp on portion size either, my husband had the quarter pounder bacon burger and chips and I had a cheese toastie with onion and tomato, which came with a side salad and coleslaw, both full platefuls. Both meals were hot and fresh and mine was the best toastie I've ever had in any cafe, very crisp and tasty. I wish we'd had room for the cheesecake which looked delicious, but there's always next time!

Our go too for all things breakfast related, amazing quality food and well cooked.

Lovely little cafe with brilliant friendly service. I was staying in Barton for a messy weekend and the absolutely first-class bacon buns from the Singing Kettle completely staved off all ill effects

Breakfast was really good. Sausages and hash browns were a particular highlight. Staff were friendly and attentive. Reasonable prices Hand dryer wasn't working in the toilet.

Food was excellent, and usually i love this place buy today noticed the toilet was dirty with cobwebs filling the back wall making it difficult for my young daughter to use the toilet as she was worried spiders was going to be in webs. The floor and toilet paper was wet also. The food was really nice and most of the staff really friendly, was lovely seeing some of the little cute helpers too!

Cute cafe in the old part of town, just by the bus and train terminal. Super clean and greeted by super friendly staff. Also food is amazing, from traditional breakfasts to toasties, burgers or shepherds pie and all the trimmings. Not to mention the fresh brownies/cheesecake and a proper coffee machine.👌

This is one of our favourite places in our hometown for breakfast. We both chose the medium sized full breakfast. All the ingredients were good quality, freshly cooked and nice and hot. Service was friendly and we were even treated to some free singing. £12 for two substantial breakfasts and 2 cups of tea is a bargain

Do not reccomend. It is not just a coincidence the two occasions myself and family have ate here we have became very sick shortly after. Staff are lovely I dont like to be negative however it has put us off from dining here again.

Went with four friends in August. Coffee was lovely but the food was not freshly prepared. One friend had sweet chilli chicken and it tasted like pre-packed chicken with cheap bottled chilli sauce on it. Soup was good and chips were fresh. It was all OK, but just OK. A place for a quick bite and nothing too special.

Just had a lovely late breakfast. Social spacing adhered to and scrupulously clean. Tastey cooked to order food. Highly recommended

Singing kettle is one of the best cages in Barton, north Lincolnshire, England, Europe... And THE WORLD!!!

Had lasagne and my friend has pork stakes lasagne was a bit cold and the pork stakes was tough and chips wasn't very nice. Isn't the best place in the world and generally it was a bit underwealming ☹️

I always enjoy the singing kettle. There are many cafes in this world, in this county and in Barton, but Singing Kettle is top tier for breakfasts and friendly staff.

The mixed scones with jam & cream were LUSH - Thankyou so much! Blueberry, raspberry, lemon....but cherry is my favourite. Very easy and quick to order and pay online. Easy collection. Lovely, helpful staff. Thank you so much, they were a much needed treat.

Four of us stopped of here for lunch. None of us were disappointed. Friendly staff, quaint inside, great food. We had jacket potato with coronation chicken, cheese burgers and for vegetarian chips, eggs & beans. Food was well presented and piping hot. Service was quick. Not sure about americano coffee being served in a tall glass though. We paid by card. Definitely recommend The Singing Kettle.

A spur of the moment decision to stop and have a bit of breakfast on a busy day was possibly the best thing I did yesterday! Never been here before, though driven past a hundred times. The food was nothing short of perfect and the staff fast and friendly. We will definitely be calling in again. I moved to barton in September and the singing kettle is my ‘go to’ for food,, the staff are lovely and the food is great. The decor is a bit dull and it’s hard when you have a pushchair because there’s nowhere to put it when you sit down. But besides that, I love it.

Visited this cafe several times. The food has always been excellent, and staff are always friendly and welcoming. The cooked breakfast offered excellent value for money and was served reasonably quickly. Food can also be ordered to take away Highly recommended.
