J e bensons and son in North Lincolnshire

Called in Bensons yesterday when we visited Barton. We live near Worksop but were out for the day. We bought a pork pie, some roast ham, chicken and a pack of scones. All were excellent, and the pork pie is very, very tasty (I'm a bit fussy with pork pies if they're not up to a good standard!). Will definately call in again as the other produce looked lovely. Top class butchers.

Quality, Quality, Quality...... Locally sourced meat....Great service from great staff. If there are any issues, they go out of their way to solve them. Would recommend.

Best Butcher for miles around. We trave more than 20miles to shop there. Staff are great very helpful,both on cooked food and raw meat. We will be back.

Fantastic for take away food, hot and cold sandwiches, cakes and fantastic Sausage rolls, homemade pies, pasties and scotch eggs. Brilliant food and friendly staff.

Both the butchers side and the baking, cooked meats etc offer great value and high standard. Staff are nice too. Can't ask for more than that can you?

beautiful choice of meat the staff are polite and so helpful so clean and tidy not too far to travel and prices are good too

I've heard he's retiring, I hope it's not true, Without Benson's meat cuts, Life would be blue. He sells meat and poultry, Cakes pies and muffin Fattened up bods, He even sells stuffin.

I use this shop on a regular basis both for the butchery and bakery. We love the quiches and Eccles cakes! Very busy at lunch times and makes excellant sandwiches to,order very quickly.

All people should support their local butcher, Mr Benson provides service with a smile, perhaps a little like Arkwright in many ways but a caring and loyal supplier and butcher

MORE THAN A BUTCHER. "Much more" - yes. When we visited this lovely little village - self catering - for a few days, we found this ideal for "take away's!" EXCELLENT (to be commended and recommended) pies and pasties - plus...!!

Very good sausages, old Johns pork pies excellent , coleslaw super. The cooked chickens are great value and very tasty and the uncooked ones also excellent value.

A traditional butcher's-cum-sandwich shop situated on King Street, Barton. My comments concern the sandwich side of the business. A good selection of breakfast sandwiches - sausage, bacon, egg... mix and match, with added mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, etc. A good, wholesome and fulfilling individually made sandwich... probably very unhealthy in dietary terms if you listen to the medics but who gives a damn? A little bit of indulgence, now and again can't do too much harm! On the whole, a great breakfast sarnie that will set you up for the rest of the day, and all at a very decent price! Benson's Breakfast Sarnies get my vote, any day!

Old John's sausages take some beating. You can always ask where the meat is from and quality is always good. Service is always first class.

Visit about twice a week. choice of quality products and good value. Friendly service cant be beaten.
