Large portion is not Large it is a medium portion, they charge extra if it needs to be wrapped separately for takeaway

Initially made a mistake with my order, so had to wait another 10 mins to cook the correct item. Everything extremely greasy. All very average in terms of flavour.

We have been coming here almost every week for the past year, despite this involving a 50 minute round trip. The food is that good! The best Fish & Chips we have found in Lincolnshire, and one of the best ever anywhere. My wife loves the Fresh Cod, and the chips are cooked to perfection and are delicious. As a vegetarian I am impressed with the variety of veggie dishes available. After recently enquiring, Pineapple Fritters are available to order and are perfectly cooked. Also highly recommended are the vegetable pancake rolls which are scrumptious. Cheese and Onion Fry It is another veggie option. All are delicious, and freshly cooked. The food is excellent, the people very polite, the portions generous and the premises are spotless. Quite Fantastic. You will not be disappointed. Located near Scunthorpe Hospital. 5 stars easily.

Visit here almost every week although we are not local. Delicious food. Very friendly staff and very fair prices compared to many fish and chip establishments nowadays. My wife loves the Cod and the chips are perfectly cooked. They have plenty of vegetarian options too. Recently after I asked, they have started doing Pineapple Fritters to order and these along with the vegetable pancake roll are delicious, and again perfectly cooked. This is a gem of a take away, close to Scunthorpe hospital. 10/10 FABULOUS!!

Food is always well cooked and large portions for a fair price service is always polite and fast and the staff are always happy to see you. Chelsea is always really friendly and shows she is listening to the customer

Great food at good prices with honest portions. Visited twice in recent months after going to the cinema in Scunthorpe. If we lived closer would be there more often. Staff are very friendly. Good menu options including vegetarian. The chips are perfect and the best I have had in Lincolnshire. You will not be dissapointed. 10/10.

This takeaway has been the best in Scunthorpe for over 35 years, it's now under new ownership but the quality still stands. There's a wide choice on offer, decent prices with great quality and friendly staff.

Good fish and chips. However gave the lady a £20 note for a £14.50 meal and received £1.50 change. Only noticed when I left the premises. I went back in and was told “oh sorry ...just realised it was a £20 note” Given that the total bill was £14.50...what other denomination would give £1.50 change! Check your change folks!!

No longer - Best fish n chips in town.Really friendly and very efficient.Dont usually have a long wait!! ***PS: ...sadly now under new ownership/ management, and aren't as efficient, and have become very expensive( hence the drop from 5 stars to 2 stars) Quality now inconsistant too ! .....Quite dissapointing.

Kebabs are some of the best around here. Chips too. Staff are extremely friendly and conversational and overall, one of the best chippies around (imo). However, it's not available on anything like Just Eat or Hungryhouse is a little disappointing.

Far too many chips for a mortal to eat, Fish is well cooked, batter is alright, mushy peas are genuine mushy peas, Gravy is correct thickness customer service is very good all in all a good fish shop with the right prices. Order was Fish chips 3 times, two with mushy, one with curry. Chips and gravy. The only negative was could do with being drained better as slightly Greasy. I got a good look at the fish that was about to be cooked and it was nice and bright so very fresh.

I've been using this chippy for years as have many other people in my family so reading the very negative review it's only fair to give the review it deserves. I have never had a bad meal from here and it's all cooked fresh. If it was a bad piece of fish then that could happen and u can't say different but will speak for myself and my family to say it's always top food. Fresh hot and never been spoken to other than professional and feel this needs to be represented also and not just negatively. The premises us always immaculate and clean which is rare nowadays so I for one will be regularly attending

We have heard good reviews about this place so thought we would give it a try but unfortunately was disappointed with not only the food but the customer service too. To start with the gravy was watery but thought it was something not worth complaining about as the chips was okay. My fiancé however had a fish and after eating just a quarter of it he was instantly throwing up all I had to do was smell it and I could tell it was off. I took it back in to make the owner aware of this concern to be abruptly spoken to in an indecent manner. Don’t get me wrong she did give me the money back for the fish but didn’t seem apologetic as though she didn’t believe me and I said all she had to do was smell it but all she kept saying is that it’s all fresh out the fridges. I don’t feel that she was interested or concerned about the matter and to not not even get an apolology it left me very dissatisfied with the service.

Fish and chips were lovely and not as pricey as you would pay on the sea front..they had kids meal deals which made it alot cheaper..and they had a home made onion viniger which was different and i really enjoyed it

Disgusting. If you like everything except the chips cooked in a microwave then this is the place for you. Fish with the skin left on. Pie and gravy heated in microwave it was terrible. Took it back and was gave full refund.
