A lovely 1940's inspired tearoom that also does a nice range in hot meals too. Angela and Fritz and their staff give you a lovely welcome and the cakes and food are delicious. I stumbled across Partners Tearoom by chance and was very pleased I had. I really only went in for a coffee but as it was early lunchtime, and they had such an interesting menu, I decided I'd have lunch there. I chose a fish platter which consisted of smoked salmon, mackerel, crayfish tails, and other bits, with a salad and bread. The portion was very tasty and just the right size. Instead of coffee I opted for one of their 'mocktail' type drinks which, on a very warm day, was refreshing.

I had the cheese and cranberry hot baguette, which was delicious and my friend had the afternoon tea with beef finger sandwiches, which was also very good. All served very attractively, promptly and courteously. The staff were very smiling, friendly and helpful, and the café is "old fashioned" in the best possible way with various objects d'art around to captivate a wandering eye. The tables were clean and quickly cleared / cleaned when patrons left and altogether the café is an absolute diamond. I couldn't recommend it highly enough - a real treat.

All cakes are home made as often are the specialties of the day.Sandwiches/ pannini's are served with crisps or wedges and salad. There is everything from crumpets to hot quiche and the coffee is wonderful. The tearoom is licensed so you can get a drink with your meal.Often when trying out new recipe's the owner Angela gives her regular customers a taste to see what they think and to see if they would like it added to the menu.I see other reviewers have mentioned a limited menu, this is probably because the kitchen area is small and within sight of the customers, so no food is ever fried and no one comes out with clothes that smell of cooking, if you do fancy something "off menu" then they do there best to provide you with it. Well done to all the staff for making Partner's a truly relaxing atmosphere with Very good quality food.
