Quality, Quality, Quality...... Locally sourced meat....Great service from great staff. If there are any issues, they go out of their way to solve them. Would recommend.

The snug area with the huge table is a lovely space, we really enjoyed celebrating my daughter birthday here. The restaurant was surprisingly busy in early January, which just shows how fab it is. We were a table of ten, the food came out hot and there wasn’t one complaint. We waited a while to be served food but this suited us, we didn’t feel rushed, the waiters were attentive and kept the cocktails topped up. I’ve never had a bad meal here 🎊

Popped in here on an ad-hoc detour to get something to eat & drink (5pm ish). Building looked like an old fashioned type of place and advertised food outside the front door. Parking in the old stable courtyard around the back. Tight bar, low ceilings but offered good ales. The chef spotted as and told us that if we wanted food, Stew and Dumplings were fresh and a special of the day. Very much a locals pub, bar flies were friendly, TV on with no sound (News) and best of all. NO MUSIC and could have a conversion without shouting over any noise. Grub was bang on (Stew, dumplings, mash and veg) and a massive portion. £8 quid. Mrs. had Scampi, a mountain of chips and a lorry load of peas which she said was really good. Also £8 quid. Great pub, great grub, well poured beer and nice welcome surroundings. Rough and ready, no frills good honest place.

Lovely welcoming cafe. Friendly staff and a homely warm place. Cosy surroundings, with a roaring fire. Food was delicious. I had a sausage sandwich served hot on brown bloomer bread. My friend had a sausage and bacon sandwich with looked equally good. I would return again

Sorry we didn't enjoy it the food was average at best and massively overpriced in my opinion the main reason was that we was packed in like Sardines I was sat on a old ladies lap the tables are far to close together you can not move once you get seated and you are listening to everyone else conversations it was like a School dinning room absolutely manic , would we return I don't think so ..

Its a real shame because on the outside it looks ok..ish I used to use it quite regular whilst out riding in the summer months My last visit i was absolutely shocked.. the inside of the only pub in the village has been turned into a filthy hovel and looks like its not seen a tin of polish or a spray anti bac in years.. the land lady is an absolute slob i found out later is called Dawn she has a bad attitude with ZERO customer serviceor manners for that matter... ice with coke was too much effort bare in mind its 30°. 1 drink was enough to hunt out trip adviser to leave this review. If I could leave no stars I would based on my experience
