Drinks and service good One vegan option which is ‘Korean tacos’ - note they are not tacos they are deconstructed. No real substance that would be worth £20! Not worth it for the vegan options but drinks and service good.

I booked a table for 7 for my daughters 14th birthday at 7.30pm, we preordered and thought it would be a smooth experience, i'd visited the restaurant before myself and it had been great, however this time it was far from that.  Two of our guests arrived at before us and hadnt been served drinks yet, we arrived and waited and waited for someone to come and take a drinks order which was a while. Finally someone came over and we asked them to check the preorder. Over an hour later still no food so I left the table and asked the staff again to check the order, she said yes and then instantly said 'what do you want again'.  A little time went by and someone came up to say sorry it will be here soon its been busy. Whilst I can appreciate its busy we preordered and this shouldnt arrive an hour and 15 minutes. Whilst the staff were friendly the service was incredibly poor.  On two occasions people had to leave the table to ask for a drink as noone was serving. At no point during the meal were we asked if everything was ok. We asked for a dessert menu however it took that long for someone to come back it was getting closer to 10pm so left it and asked for the cake I brought instead.  The bill came without the deposit removed so again had to go to the bar as noone to ask, to which they sorted after a while and also had to ask for the cake bag back as they just brought the box.  We were knackered by the time we left, I wasnt going to argue the bill there, didnt have the energy to wait any longer and it just felt really hard work but the bill didnt reflect the poor experience hence we won't return.  Im so disappointed as thd restaurant is beautiful and has no much going for it but the serving experience was extremely disappointing.  I did email this comments but they didnt respond.

Saturday lunch for 4 persons and we all loved it. Friendly staff, nice environment, clean and most of all great food. No problem for the steak to be cooked without butter for a dairy intolerant diner. Halloumi skewer perfect as was the calzone. Cheesecake was a dream. We shall return.

Me and my partner love it here, our favourite place for a meal. We’ve been 3x for a meal and stayed over night each time. The best fillet steak I have ever had! Cocktails amazing as always. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. They do the BEST English breakfast! Great location if you wanted to visit a couple of other pubs in the area and shops. We will be back 🫶

Stayed here on saturday on my own due to training for work. First off its more accomodation by hotel rather than a hotel.. now they dont really advertise that so cant really say too much about it. My room was small enough.. comfortable for just me but would be pokey for a couple.. the bed was ok. The room was ensuite but the shower was a disaster.. first off it had 2 settings.. roasting hot or freezing cold but the more pressing issue is the head of the shower came to just above my shoulder at its highest setting. Im not the tallest man only average height and found it a nightmare to shower. Other than that it was nice. It did look like a work in progress or a new business, the room you pass through from restaurant to the rooms was more of a storage room and some of the fixtures and fittings on the room need a look at. But it was clean and comfortable. I ate in the restaurant that night.. food was expensive. I wasnt massively impressed by it..even though the setting itself is beautiful. The food was only ok. I would come back but id give them time to get things right in the accomodation side

Wacky Wednesday £22 for 3 courses How can this be possible standard of food outstanding. Even sirlion steak. Service very attentive. A new member of the team "Connie" was fabulous. Keep up with your passion and professionalism and you will go far. Not sure how the chef turns out as many dishes but He/she /they do. Highly recommend. You could walk past this place. But dont.

This is surely the best roast sirloin of beef Sunday lunch on the south bank of th Humber river if not in the whole of Lincolnshire. Dont like the wafer thin slices of meat often served up so great to see nice thick slices of beef. Beef is tender (slow roasted for 12 hours - yum) and tasty. Like my roast beef to have some pink and it’s done to perfection. Served with nice large Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, crispy kale, roast carrots, buttered greens roast and mash potatoes (we didn’t have mash as it tends to be too much). Plenty of gravy supplied too. This is first restaurant where I’ve had crispy kale and gave to say I’m a fan Good selection of tasty starters too. This time had the sharing baked Camembert. Impressed by the good service by a young, friendly & hard working service team which adds to the overall e joy ent of Sunday lunch at Imaginarium. Excellent value for money too. Have been a regular Sunday lunches here and will continue for as long as the food, service and value for money continues to deliver.

Had to write this here because its difficult to find how to write a review about the 'hotel' that is attached to this name. Firstly, it is not a hotel. It is a grotty building behind/attached to the restaurant that offers rooms to stay in. Secondly the restaurant wasn't open when we stayed there so cannot comment on the food or the service. The room that we stayed in was ok-ish, in that at least it was clean. No hairdryer/iron though. The bathroom was poor - no socket for toothbrush, unable to regulate shower temperature - was scorching hot so couldn't take a proper shower, had to stand away from shower head and hand throw water to body to rinse. Would not have been able to wash hair because of water temperature if we had been there for several days. It rained heavily the night we were there and although our room wasn't affected, other rooms got seriously flooded during the night because of rain pouring in through the windows (apparently it also flooded the restaurant that wasn't available when we were there) and the occupants of one of the rooms (that we know about) was offered a box of chocolates as compensation! SERIOUSLY!

I have delayed writing this review at the request of the baby shower organisers. I attended a baby shower here in July, I had helped a little to organise this, so I was privy to certain conversations. Firstly the most important was we were informed we could hire the conservatory at no cost to us. (Standard practice esp when it’s not booked at a prime time) we were informed a jazz singer would be present ( they have one every weekend, again no cost to us) . We told the imaginarium from the off it was for 30+ people, we have messages confirming this. THEY came back with a price of 500 for the buffet to feed 30. Everything else was free. This worked out at about £16.50 per head, not inc drinks. We thought this was reasonable as a decent dinner meal in this area is about £13-15.00. However This wasn’t decent! The food would have served 10 at best. The poor girl hosting it was running back and forth begging for more food. Several of us got very wet, the consevetory leaks! we was not informed of this and my bag and coat left on a chair was wet when I left. They would not move us into the other room as this was the one we had booked. Clearly had we known we would be open to the elements, we would NOT have chosen this room. The jazz singer never arrived. The teenage staff appeared disinterested and confused at best. No atmosphere, we couldn’t hear the taped music, it was wet and we were hungry. I am aware the hostess has been trying to resolve this with the imaginarium since July 2023!!! Their attitude appears to be tough. You’re not coming back so why should we try to appease you. They offered a £50 refund voucher for food that at best would have cost £100 maximum, and tried to claim there was a fee for the room hire, although they still haven’t told us what this fee is, and more people arrived than they had budgeted for. (The hostess has proof all along it was 30+) Not certain how 30 disappointed people can divide this voucher. We have now been given the go ahead to write an honest review of this baby shower, after the hostess gave up trying to reason with a company that keeps making excuses on the run. She has reluctantly accepted the £50 voucher for the mum. Yes the imaginarium is right, we 30+ ladies, all Barton, barrow and brigg based will not be returning to the imaginarium, nor our husbands or friends. Not because the do was miserable, mistakes happen, but because of the Imaginariums attitude to the issues and their paltry compensation for a baby shower that we literally got showered on!

We have just moved to the area and it was our first visit to the imaginarium. We couldn’t believe how big it was and how beautiful inside was. Certainly a hidden gem. The atmosphere was so lovely and it was full. We had a steak and a calzone and the food was all amazing! Service was brilliant and we wasn’t waiting long for drinks or food. The garden room is beautiful. We were so taken by the place we asked for information on booking for our wedding. This will definitely become our regular eating/drinking spot.

Attentive staff and flavoursome cuisine

Booked for a meal for 4 Saturday night, earliest booking was 8pm which was fine. Waited til around 8.15/ 20 to be taken to our table. Asked if someone would take our order after waiting quite a while. 5 minutes later order was taken and we waited for our food for a while. We asked for a pudding menu and ordered. By the time we had been served our pudding time was getting on. This wasn't a problem, we were in no rush. Problem was as soon as we finished eating the bill appeared on our table and someone turned up with the card machine, our table was cleared of all the glasses except for one which my friend picked as it full to stop it being taken. I appreciate staff want to go home at the end of the night but if we felt as if we were being thrown out. We left at 10.05pm. I feel if you are so busy maybe having an 8 pm sitting is too late. The staff were obviously busy and were perfectly polite when taking our order, the food excellent but the late sitting and waiting times between sitting/ ordering/ recieving food was out of our control. Such a shame as it spoilt our night.

Amazing place and really nice welcoming staff. Gorgeous food, quite upset I hadn't been before now but will definitely be back with it being on my doorstep. Nathan does an amazing job at manager too and making sure everything's running smoothly!

Love this place! Great ambience and the food is outstanding! This was our fourth visit in recent months, each time with different friends or family, everyone has been impressed by the standard of the food. The staff also deserve a mention for their professional and friendly service. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants!

Great place to try out! We have been back around 10 times and have never had a bad meal or experience.

Go through the front door and be met with a warm welcome to the Tardis of restaurants. Comfortable seating, nice bar with a good selection of beers wines and yes ladies cocktails. Wacky Wednesday a 3 course meal for £22. Tapas Thursday 3 choices out of 6 for 2 people £18 along with live music. Fish and Fizz Friday 10- 12 oz Haddock, hand made chips and mushy peas along with a glass of Prosseco. £15 And of course, the traditional Sunday Roast, pick one from Beef, Chicken ,Gammon and Nut Roast £19

Walked past this place many times and not ventured in, a real gem very friendly and helpful staff, the food was fantastic, the best Sunday lunch I've ever had away from home, definitely going again 🙂

We live locally and visited for an impromptu Sunday lunch. The first thing we noticed on entering was the lovely calm atmosphere. The young lady who showed us to our table was welcoming with her professional approach and appearance setting a great first impression. The food exceeded our expectations both in quality and quantity.

Booked The Restaurant on line and made certain requests, due to a member of my booking having a disability. My request was read and we had the perfect table for us and were asked if we were happy with where we were sat. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. We both had a meal we hadn’t tried before and loved them. The ‘ambience’ at The Imaginarium is perfect. Thank you.

Imaginarium is one of my favourite places to eat! I always suggest here now if friends ask where we should go. I’ve visited several times now and every single time the food has been so delicious, beautifully presented and high quality, you’d definitely expect the prices to be higher given the quality of the food. The staff are always lovely and polite and the service is great. I can’t wait to come back :)

We went for a family dinner to begin a big anniversary celebration taking our three children with their spouses plus our two oldest grandchildren, so ten of us. The food was pretty special. The lobster scotch egg was sensational and the monkfish very good. Everyone enjoyed their choices. The setting was lovely and the serving team personable. However, there was a downside and that was how long it took to get anything. We had to chase drinks on three separate occasions and after 2 and 3/4 hours we'd only just finished the mains, so we ended up skipping dessert simply because of time. So I think if I was to book again I would definitely set timings rather than continually waiting.

Totally disgusted. Phoned for reservation and told we could sit in " garden room area" on arrival was refused because they were " Totally booked". So was seated inside ( was a special occasion for us as daughter had her first passport and wanted to choose holiday). " garden area 3/4 empty " all the time we were there! Wouldn't have minded but food bland and pizza definitely not freshly made. Real let down and seems some kind of "power control " there as we witnessed people coming in and requesting garden table and being accomadated. Will stick with other local businesses now on.

Went for tea Sunday 21st March, service ever so so so slow only 2 out front , food I chose simple cheese tomato pizza and side order fries, when it came very doughy not cooked through , pretty tasteless to be honest couldnt eat it , chips for some reason they covered them in parmesan? Why I didn't ask for that , and also tasted like truffle oil , on them could be wrong , minging., wife had roast beef Sunday roast ,OK except roast potatoes covered in rosemary why? Not impressed . Would not go back , bill was wrong they forgot to charge us for the roast beef and coffee, had to tell them , paid it in full 45 quid cheap but not good value at all would not recommend. Only my opinion tho thankyou ,

Great night at the Imaginarium. Had a perfectly done, tender steak! I love my steak medium rare and can be picky but they hit the nail on the head. Unbeatable value for Money on the Wednesday 3 course meal deal and they recommended a beautiful wine to accompany. My mum is a vegetarian and can find it hard to find different meals when going out however they had lovely vegan tacos that was a great choice even for meat eaters. Service was great and didn’t feel rushed. Allowed enough time to enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere of an obviously very popular restaurant. Definitely recommend for lovely night out!

After being recommend here by several people, it was an obvious choice for a birthday meal. The restaurant was easy to book and the intial arrival, staff and drinks were 4star. That is however, the only positives, the food took over an hour to arrive in which time none of the 3 staff that I could see came over to explain why there was a wait or see if it require more drinks despite ours sitting empty. When the food did finally arrive, it was very disappointing, the chicken skewers were very bland and undercooked, I don't think they had seen any seasoning or the grill for very long and I left the majority of them. My partners ribs were ok but nothing spectacular for the 4.5 stars that they are on here. Not once during the 1-5hours we were in the restaurant did anyone ask us how our meal was or if they could get us anything - had they have asked, I would have happily shared my concerns to them. Upon asking for the bill and leaving, our plates remained on our tables as if they were avoiding the fact that the majority of the food on them was uneaten. By this point, I just wanted to pay and leave. Such a disappointing experience, for a £20+ meal, I'd expect at least the peppers on the skewers not to be raw and some seasoning on the chicken would have been great.

Called in without booking on the off chance of getting a table. We were shown through to a garden style room which was very pleasantly decorated and the tables nicely spaced. The food was excellent, the staff were pleasant and it was reasonably priced

I went 2x to this place in one month for 2 different things, 1st one was a meal for my friends birthday, there was 9 of us, yes a lot of us and yes the restaurant was busy, but we didn’t order 9 starters and 9 mains, 6 of us shared pizza garlic bread and dirty fries, and 3 others had starters and mains, We were booked in for 8pm, to be served food at 9:40pm, the food was average nothing exciting. To be served food nearly 2hrs later was disappointing. Second time was for a baby shower we had afternoon tea, the menu is very vague so if your planning on ordering afternoon tea then I would maybe ring in advance for what is on the afternoon tea for £21 per person I thought it was shocking, the sandwiches were like squares ( half a finger sandwich) the cakes were tiny, cream was a mint green colour, ( maybe trying to be different but we all was like what’s that) to ask for tea ( in a small cup and saucer) to ask someone else for milk, by the time we got the milk it was nearly a cold cup of tea, to then ask for more tea to be told you only get ONE cup of tea with the afternoon tea I had never heard anything like it to be then told a week or so later from my friend that was organising her daughters baby shower that some family members asked for more tea and no questions were asked absolutely crazy, it really wasn’t worth £21 the service wasn’t the best, I won’t be rushing back in a hurry

I caught up with a friend over lunch at this lovely restaurant. It was busy with a great atmosphere & the young staff were all polite & friendly. We ordered the monkfish, meatballs & strawberry cheesecake and all were delicious 😋 Will certainly return soon!

Went with family to celebrate two birthdays and an engagement. Starters were shared followed by mains of ribs, steak, chicken skewers and pizza. Absolutely stuffed, but then a very nice surprise a celebration platter with brownie and candle. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

A really lovely pub in the village of Barton-on-Humber right next to the Humber Bridge. It's privately owned by Chef & partner couple and the food and service was brilliant. Best burger I've had in a while.

We have visited The Imaginarium before and had a wonderful meal and our second visit, a Sunday lunchtime, was no different. The food was excellent as was the service - our waitress was attentive and friendly, the food arrived quickly and was well-presented and the overall experience was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend The Imaginarium for its food, for its service and for a relaxed dining experience.

I visited with my husband last night. We had the wacky wednesday set menu, £20 for 3 courses. Amazing value for money. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. Their service was great. It was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last.

Came here for breakfast on Sunday and it left me feeling very confused. We were the only 2 diners. Why? The food was of really good quality. It was hot, fresh and well presented. Service was excellent. The environment is very pleasant. Such a lovely way to start a day.

Starter came after 39 mins. Mains after another 45 mins. Ordered dessert had to ask again they had forgotten us. (Free coffee). Asked for extra cutlery had to ask again they had forgotten again. Staff very amicable but in need of training.

Upon entering the decor was beautiful, the welcome friendly and the food was impressive. We booked a room above the restaurant and so decided to eat here in the evening. Having not been before we had no expectations, however we were really impressed with every aspect of our meal. Our waitress Olivia was very friendly and attentive. The food was phenomenal. We had the lamb shank and beef and Guinness pie. Both were some of the best we have ever eaten. For pudding we opted for the brownie which was a perfect blend of sweet and salty. Yum. If you like good quality food in an enchanting setting I would highly recommend this restaurant. Compliments to the chef and kitchen crew.

Just popped in for drinks and service was amazing

Obviously with all of the excellent reviews on here, I’m alone in thinking this place is overrated. It advertises itself as “Fine quality dining”. My experience was more akin to ‘Wetherspoons’. On the surface, it is a nice looking establishment and does well to look and feel like a bar / restaurant from a city, rather than a small town. The interior is trendy but feels a bit empty and soulless at first, the place is deceptive. A tiny entrance way opens into a huge dining space, which the staff clearly do not want you sat in, it felt a bit unwelcoming, with half of the lights off. Instead, diners are moved over to the ‘garden room’ at the back (a large conservatory). Passers by could be mistaken the place is closed, as all of the diners are out of view from the street. The resturant itself feels ‘sticky’ and in need of a deep clean. Cocktails are good but the beer choice (tap) is a bit lacking. In regard to the (sticky to the touch) menu the range was varied. From pizza to steak. I opted for the “hanging chicken shawarma” sounded amazing based on the description. In reality it was three chunks of tasteless chicken with a coupe of slices of pepper and onion. The chips were just standard oven fare, about ten chips total. Not only did this cost £18, it was quite possibly the blandest food I’ve eaten in a restaurant. My partner had a burger, which was a bit better. Looking around the restaurant, most people had opted for the Steak or the burger, clearly I’d made the wrong choice here. It feels like the menu is too vast. They do such a broad range of food, they have to compromise on quality. The staff were good though, attentive without being annoying. Barton needs this place, it’s different to other places here, but the food is just not worth the money for the quality and portion size. I can’t say I’ll hurry back.

We can for the bottomless brunch, the staff were really nice and the cocktails were delicious. The only downside was there wasn't enough staff for the number of people that were there, and considering you have to pre book, they would have had an idea of how many members of staff they would have needed. We couldn't get our drinks fast enough. That being said the atmosphere was great, the food was lovely and the staff were great.

Absolutely fantastic wow! I'd consider myself a bit of a foodie with some of the places I've dined over the years and this little gem is right up there with the best. Me and the wife went on valentines day for the first time and what a place its beautiful inside the ambiance is great, we were seated in the garden area its indoor BTW .. We had a surprise with a set menu that was on the table aswell as the main menu and the value for the food we was brought was outstanding. Any new place I visit I order steak to rate it ( bit sad but its my thing) me and the wife had the fillet steak with only one possible rating.....perfection, it was melt in your mouth and a great portion for the price. From the starter to the pudding inclusive of service,price and setting these guys have nailed it I highly highly recommend a visit.

A lovely meal with friends, good service and excellent food, the menu was varied with something to please all of our group, spoilt for choice really. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Absolutely outstanding! We cannot believe we have missed this since it was Elio’s back in the day, we went Sunday evening and opted for the Sunday Lunch…….as good as it gets scoring a strong 9.5/10 James Pipe & Glass watch yourself you have great competition👍🍷

Really disappointed after our visit yesterday. After many excellent visits in the past, last being March 23 I have to say there was a noticeable difference and not for the better. From walking through the door to no reception, we floated around others eating until finally a member of staff asked if we were ok. After explaining we had a table booked we were told that there were no tables available and she didn’t know when there would be. We offered to wait but then felt totally forgotten about. After finally getting seated we both ordered the roast which we have always raves about but this was just ‘ok’ not outstanding as we usually feel. Everything cooked nice but lacked taste. My husbands belly pork had no crackling or stuffing which is standard for a roast pork dinner… the veg was minimal with and the gravy was insipid. The service was way below par with lazy staff and forgotten drinks etc.. even as we were eating tables and chairs were being scraped around us and moved around ready for evening guests which really wasn’t a nice atmosphere to enjoy your meal in. It pains me to write this review after such wonderful times here before but something has definitely changed and standards have slipped and has left us not wanting to return.

Called in for dinner on Sunday unexpectedly and they had room for us , we sat in the garden area and they had a live singer on which was lovely. i ordered the belly pork roast and my partner had pizza and chips . it was all delicious and the staff were lovely. my only gripe if i had to be picky was it was a long wait for food then a long wait for the bill etc and it wasn't that busy in my opinion but other than that was really lovely and will defo be back.

We arrived at 8pm to stay for two days. We were shown to our rooms. You need to walk through corridor where male toilets are and then through a random room full of clutter. The stair carpet was loose however, this was then stapled by a gentleman which temporarily fixed it. The room was okay, clean and fit for purpose. Only had one towel provided got given extra when we asked. Downside is we booked with breakfast for the two nights. Told that do not do breakfast on a Thursday and if hungry plenty of cafe around. I explained that we had paid for the breakfast to be included and the lady said nothing she could do. On the Friday went down at 8am as told breakfast was available then but the restaurant was shut and locked no one about. We then left, paid for two days with breakfast which wasn’t provided so a bit of a scam would have just paid room only otherwise. I did Receive a phone call at 9:45am asking if we wanted breakfast but told the person we had already left and should have booked the breakfast time. We wasn’t told this on check in. Ok place to stay if needed but don’t expect or pay for the breakfast this as not an option. Pretty much a bed without the breakfast!

Visited here for the first time in May, booked as a surprise for my parents 40th wedding anniversary after being recommended by a friend. The bar area and restaurant is furnished to a high standard and seating in the extension was very nice, had a bit of a barn feel about it which I enjoyed. Staff were polite and helpful and the food was very good, was a little disappointing about a few menu options not being available on the day but can’t help that. Will definitely go again for an occasion and definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere different with a good quirky feel

This lovely place must soon be in line for a Michelin Star. Fantastic food, delivered by attentive serving staff. I love The Imaginarium, in Barton, it's simply a great culinary experience. My only gripe, is the opening hours... rarely operating when I feel the need of fine dining. You need to rethink your operating hours.

Such a beautiful setting with lovely, tasty food and great service! We loved it and will be telling all of our friends to visit too!! We came as a family to celebrate my birthday and from the moment we stepped through the front door we all loved it! The decor is fabulous with a mix of old and new and the garden room is simply gorgeous. The staff were attentive but not over bearing and nothing was too much trouble. They even surprised me with a birthday dessert which was a lovely touch. We all ate something different and all four meals with tasty, well presented and the prices were reasonable too! This is certainly a little gem we happened to come across and will definitely be returning in the very near future.

What a hidden gem! From the welcoming front of house staff, to paying the bill on leaving, this place delivers on every level. Imaginarium is everything you want and more. Firstly the welcoming entrance and foyer. Decor is eclectic, touches of old and new, with fabulous pieces of furniture and decorations. It set's the scene for the rest of the place. We sat at a table in the main room, but could see out into a covered conservatory/veranda area which looked bright and airy. The tables are well spaced giving privacy but not seeming to isolate from the rest of the customers. Menu's are varied, with an excellent range of dishes. I did view the menu on line before visiting which was easy to do, so already had knowledge of what was available. Our waitress Pollyanna was extremely polite and friendly. She checked if we had any allergies or dietary requirements and also informed us of the day's specials, before taking the order. The food was served efficiently and in a timely manner by different staff who were all polite, friendly and professional. All the dishes we chose were served hot, beautifully presented and were absolutely delicious. I am not going to list the choices we made because I would highly recommend that you visit and make your own decision on what you eat and what you think. Imaginarium ticked so many boxes for us that we will be visiting again very soon. A place for a quite meal, birthday celebration or in our case wedding anniversary celebration, every occasion would be lovely eating and drinking here. I haven't commented on the wine list as we both don't drink but at a glance it looked extremely extensive. My husband did enjoy a pint of beer, suitability chilled. The prices are as to be expected for gastro style cuisine. Everything was listed and we didn't find any hidden extras.

Great food, great atmosphere and a gorgeous gorgeous place. Me and my partner came to meet up with a friend and the singing group, cup of tea were performing some fantastic songs and were great performers and the afternoon was just delightful.

We absolutely adore coming to this restaurant it simply is one of our favourites by far .... we always receive a wonderful welcome by the attentive staff and owners and the food is incredible every time, today we enjoyed the Sunday lunch and the Braised beef and Guinness pie which were both beautifully cooked and well presented with the biggest homemade Yorkshire pud I’ve seen and amazing red cabbage that tasted delicious . Then to follow I had the pudding of my dreams, Strawberry cheesecake with a twist (see my photo). Definitely be back very soon Xx

Really good food and service. Ashleigh our waitress was very attentive. Only thing keeping it off 5 stars was the white wine wasn’t completely chilled when it came to the table - although it did reach temperature in the cooler quite quickly - and the rhubarb in the dessert was a bit under cooked. Great atmosphere though and the restaurant is cosy and comfortable. We would definitely book again!

Family lunch today, felt very disorganised on arrival, our 3 drinks all came out separately wine, beer and children’s drink, we had to ask the waitress a bunch of times daft things like the Sunday lunch menu is missing in one of the menus, can we have a drinks menus, can we have a knife (one of the settings) could we have sauce etc, if Just felt chaotic. Although we enjoyed the food it wasn’t worth £83 for two adults and a child, we don’t mind paying but it wasn’t worth it, food was slightly on the cold side, vegetables full of water, beef fatty. Staff were friendly, very humid in the outdoor/conservatory side. Lovely singer and keyboard player in the background, it was a shame the restaurant’s radio was playing in the background still. Very cramped, tables close to one another, some poor elderly couple were cramped into a tiny space either side to them were tables, you couldn’t walk past without brushing their arm. Nice place, staff friendly enough but it just disappointed it many areas today.

We have gone to this restaurant when it was previously Elio’s and as Imaginarium and it’s always been great. We visited tonight with family and it was dreadful. First the service was just so poor, we ordered 2 garlic breads which were beautiful but not worth £21.90 !!!! Our mains were 2 burgers which were the worst ever. Buns all split as must have been defrosted in the microwave, burgers really dry with no flavour, served on a board with what are just like frozen skin on fries from Lidl. Margarita pizza was ok but the hanging chicken kebab with all 3 pieces of chicken for £18 was shocking. The ice cream sundae @ £6.50 was also a joke 2 scoops of basic ice cream with some squirty cream and strawberry sauce. In though times we appreciate that places need to charge more however with a bill of £155.35 we would expect high quality well cooked ingredients. We will not be back.
