The best restaurants in Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

Went for the first time for my son's birthday to give him a treat. The atmosphere was the first ick, sadly. Using outdated fabrics and an odd table and booth layout. And during a time they should have been busy, we were one of only a few. For much of our time, we were alone. Their cold stone for the ice cream was severely broken, and it looked like it was filthy, or sludge, coming out from under it. Only positive for the atmosphere is the display of all the sweets. They did look really good. Tables had empty dishes on them while the girls in the back didn't look very busy. The one was polite and apologetic, and didn't seem to know much about what was available or not. The other was quiet. For food....sub-par. Taste was alright, brownies for the fondue were really good aside from being a bit old/dry on the edges. They were out of half of the things we asked for. Many of the drinks, including OJ, were missing. We had to go to their cooler ourselves to see what they had, which wasn't much. Same when ordering, I ended up not getting anything for myself and had to modify my son's chocolate fondue order because they didn't have enough cookies for the order. This place has potential. If they modernized it, make it more sleek and professional to match the style of the menu, deep cleaned, updated their equipment, and actually trained their staff, and had better product management....this place could be a hot spot easily.

The Cosmopolitan is being refurbished, last time we were there for a Wedding, the food was sumptuous and the staff were friendly and helpful, we were entertained by The Chris White Jazz Trio who added a touch of class

Staff uninterested I ordered a cocktail was informed “did not have it” even though it was on menu I was choosing another and girl went didn’t come back. We ordered food signature dish of pasta and spinach balls pasta was cold spinach balls burnt when I eventually manage to speak to some one she said “ sorry and laughed. I have always enjoyed my food here but I will not be going back

-5 * for today's experience been a long standing customer but after today will never go back, won't go into the why or explain will just say extremely rude and incompetent supervisor/manager on with no customer service experience more training required

I have visited this Toby Carvery several times, on a recent visit, the serving area was disgusting food everywhere, remains of a Yorkshire Pudding in the queueing area no attempt by the kitchen staff to clean it up or straighten the serving area. The food and the service was good. Don't know why the Duty Manager did not details someone to clean the area, it does not look good. I know they were busy but that is no excuse.

This Toby carvery was spectacular the best one yet.We went here as a family and this is the most carvery I've ate magnificent.The staff wore polite and welcoming especially "Rachel"thank you for this 🍽dinner!

Just called in for a few drinks and was served by a really nice friendly chap called Nigel who couldn't do enough for us. There was also a lovely jolly young woman named Sophie who had us in stitches whilst serving us. They both made us feel very welcome.

Sad really it used to be very good. Eggs rubbery and solid, bacon dried out and £9.50 now. I suppose its the risk when food is left out on heated dishes it soon loses its freshness. It was all a bit dark and dismal and there was only one other family in there.

El menú infantil era de solo £ 5. 99 por 3 platos y podrían tener filete de rabadilla para principal. Uno de los niños con nosotros tenía el filete que estaba perfectamente cocinado. Gracias.

There’s so many types of burger houses nowadays, when it used to be just Wimpey, Burger King and Maccas. I really glad there is now more choice, and being able to go that next level , and get a knife and folk if you so desire. Great service, great burgers, and a great atmosphere at Handmade Burger Co, Leeds. Worth a visit.

Disappointed. Ordered shrimp spaghetti and the seafood was clearly frozen prawns. £17.95 cat too much for a few prawns and loads of cheap spaghetti. Also lacked garlic. The sticky toffee pudding was very nice, however.

Waiting to place order, eventually had to go get a staff member. Some of the dishes were nice. Service was poor. 2 of the items we ordered were not served, even after reminding them. One of the waitress came round after we had finished the food asking whether the missing items were brought out. We kindly requested the bill without the missing items. Bill arrived but only 1 of the missing items was removed. They did remove the second one. Staff were generally good other than that, apart from the gentleman who I assume was the manager seemed grumpy.

Meget små porsjoner og dyrt. Hyggelig betjening som gav god info og det er derfor de ikke får dårligste karakter. De minste porsjonene og minst smakfulle sushi en jeg noen gang har smakt,

We thought to come for dinner as the food is usually okay but today was outrageous! We ordered and didn’t receive our drinks for 30 minutes. Then we had to wait a further 1hr30minutes for our starters to arrive. We ordered Garlic bread that came freezing and chicken taco, chicken tacos on discription from your menus! Include “mayo and palle de galo” I got a taco with 2 tiny chicken strips and what looked like just leaves. Then we had to wait a further 45 minutes for our mains. We voiced our concerns to the bar staff and they explained we could have a “one free drink or pudding” for the long delay and explained they were really busy in the kitchen despite only having approximately 10 people in the pub.
