Pizza Island in Leeds

Last update 28/3/2025 last order from here food arrived cold and the kebab was so dripping in fat or grease it was all over every meal and even the bag. Ate half of it as I was hungry now looking for another take away. What ever they have done has ruined one of the best take aways in Leeds. I ordered here 5 times a week so will be a huge loss to them. Such a shame. 4th update as 19 march 2025 Pizzas have dramatically decreased in quality to the point a thin base is none existent and a deep base was a thin base 5 weeks ago. There like bread and cheese now. No more pizza sauce at all. Called them up twice and told them I will not order again after I order 4-5 times a week and was not even bothered to even resolve it rude and didn’t care. 3rd update as march 2025. Unfortunately things are starting to change. The pizzas are not as high quality and not how they use to be. As it stands my stars review will remain for now unless more things and any more drops in quality. I have removed 1 star for the annoying text the next day to tell me my order was sent why? I’ve already eaten it yesterday. 2nd review of pizza island. 3 months later food still amazing very fresh, hot and delivered quickly with a smile. Food amazing tonight I tried the special calzone and I have to say maybe the best most tasty calzone I’ve ever eaten. My wife had her usual of chicken tikka on Nan bread with salad and chilli which is always very fresh and tasty, which she loves. Pizza island is my no 1 takeaway always hot freshly made and most of all delivered quickly and on time which is amazing. Highly recommended to anyone in the area. This was the best take away for years Then…. until 6 weeks ago. Everything changed. The pizzas were better than dominos now are so dry and so so thin even a deep base which paid extra for is a thin base and the pizza sauce is none existent anymore. It’s bread and cheese. The kebabs were amazing too and now they come swimming in fat and grease so much it’s all over the other food and even the bag. Meals also now come cold compared to a few week ago when they were always delivers HOT. this is my second account to review again my original is wubba chicken this take away is going to lose my £80+ a week. SHAME was a great take away sadly no longer.

Found a string of hair in my food. Bad hygiene don’t recommend this place if I’m going to be honest and I complained to them about it all they could say was sorry no action taken .

I usually swear by this place as a regular customer however the meal they have just sent is ridiculous I’ve always order the same thing it’s a special nan kebab and it used to cost a lot less but now it costs around £10 I don’t usually complain because of the quantity and it usually outweighs the fact that we receive yesterdays dry crispy kebab Sometimes the kebab okay if you get it on the correct day But I am absolutely fuming that they have charged me £10 and sent half of what they usually send

I have ordered regularly for many years. Great food. Delivery driver great and friendly. After many years, the one occasion where I had to call in, the person I spoke to was the most ignorant, rude person I had spoken to. And i deliberately called them rather than contacting them through Ubereats. I am UTTERLY disappointed that after so many years of ordering, that when I speak to them directly, they are rude and couldn’t wait to get me off the phone. So disappointed.

My FAVOURITE pizza takeaway ever! The pizzas are amazing - perfect amount of tomato sauce, cheese and a generous amount of toppings that are so tasty. The delivery is always really quick and Mr. Tingley Tan, the delivery driver, is such a wonderful person and always puts a smile on my face when he delivers. The pizzas and service are incredible 😍 I wouldn't go anywhere else and 100% recommend!

Great chicken Balti curry with onion bhajis and garlic naan whilst my fiancée ordered a bbq chicken pizza. Really friendly driver, food was piping hot on delivery, arrived within 30 mins. Highly recommend and we will be ordering again

Absolutely superb food! We ordered at 18:20, and it arrived at 18:35! The best pizza we've had since moving to the area. 10/10 Thankyou Pizza Island! 🎉

Recieved order last night 3/2/2024.....so so disappointed. Firstly curry had been packed upside down, so all oil had leaked everywhere. Pizzas were greasy. Then I opened my special kebab, well had 3 scratty pieces of lamb tikka and 3 equally scratty pieces of chicken tikka then piled high with Donner meat might as well have ordered a donnar kebab. Garlic mayo tasted like it had gone off. Rang and complained sent me a pepperoni pizza as replacement but that wasnt the best either. Totally disappointed as we have always loved food from there......NO MORE. was told on phone "pizza island busy" not an excuse to let your standards slip!!!!!! £45 bill

Absolutely by far the worst ever takeaway experience!!!! Ordered food last Friday at 5:30… for it to arrive at 7pm. Flat cold, one of the pizzas completely wrong, all the condiments missing…. The cheese chips were luke warm chips & just grated cheese placed on top….. After a lengthy phone call & being called a lier, they finally sent out just the one replacement pizza & we’re, told to warm the other food up in an oven!!!!…. The replacement pizza arrived at 8:10. Completely wrong again…..at this point I’m seriously annoyed. We called the shop received a mouthful of abuse, to be told a replacement will be sent as they finally recognised the issue. Some one cooking admitted the mistake possible???… 3rd time round at this point arrived at 9:30 luke warm, but correct this time….. at that point 90% of the food just binned. Empty belly’s & £40 lighter. Never again!!!!!!!!

Ordered a curry tonight, it was hot and full of flavour 5/5, staff was friendly too

Order from here every Friday and they are fabulous! Every week I ask for a couple of changes to be made to the curry I order and they do it no problem, and it is absolutely delicious! Best curry I can find. Husband really enjoys the special naan kebab and the kids’ pizzas always go down well too.

All types of food on offer have been outstanding. The lamb makhani is amazing. And so is their Max Burgers. Delivery is always quick with Dave behind the wheel! Friendly and genuinely nice bunch of people. I'm very happy it's my local takeaway
