I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Zaap Thai in Headingley, Leeds. From the moment I picked up the phone, things went downhill fast. I initially called to place an order, and after being passed around three different members of staff, I was left feeling more frustrated with each transfer. The cherry on top? They hung up on me—mid-sentence. This is beyond unprofessional.
After the abrupt disconnection, I had to call back and explain everything again, only to be met with no effort to resolve my problematic order. At no point did any of the staff offer a solution or show any sense of accountability. The complete lack of customer service was not only disappointing but utterly infuriating.
If this is how Zaap Thai in Headingley treats a returning customer, I can’t imagine how they handle first-timers. My partner and I have frequented this place multiple times, but this experience has left me questioning whether it's worth continuing to support them. The complete lack of customer service, combined with the frustration of dealing with an unhelpful and disorganized team, has soured my opinion entirely. It’s a shame, as we’ve enjoyed the food in the past, but with service like this, I’m not sure we’ll be back.
Thai 5 , 2 Lados, cenar arriba y abajo? Show número 2.
Santa albahaca.
Disfruta!
Maddie served us, she was lovely, really smiley and very fun!
Food was delicious - I am coeliac and ordered a pizza and dirty fries, they are very clued up! Would 100% recommend!
Thanks again Maddie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sad to see Issho has closed. This place was a gem in Leeds, blending modern with traditional Japanese cuisine. Each visit was a culinary adventure, from sushi to unique dishes. Although sometimes service could be hit or miss, the overall experience was memorable. It'll be missed for its innovation and atmosphere.
A mate of mine who lives in Leeds recommended this place... OMFG... recommendation of the century!
Had a pitta with falafel, hummus, extra aubergine and pickles. Everything top drawer!!
Shame it’s so messy or I’d be taking some back on the train home for the family
Having done the brunch there twice before, I can’t say this was third time lucky. Just too tight and slow with the drinks.
A party of 8 and after an initial two bottles of Prosecco spread down the table they wouldn’t give us any more, only by the glass and that was classed as a round. Been trying to think where else does this .. oh that’s it - NO WHERE!
Half the time we were “dry” - I can only assume the drinks were been poured and carried down from the Wetherspoons as the place was dead, yet each round still took 25 minutes to arrive.
Told we could get vodka and coke, yet the coke looked like it had been defrosted and squeezed from a Mr Freeze ice pop (the rola cola one that no-one likes)
To give them their due, they were consistent in that the staff still walk past looking like they are on a stealth mission and excel in not giving any eye contact in the hopes you don’t ask them for anything 😂
I have already contacted them prior to me posting this for their answer and it just said that because it’s a two hour brunch they have a responsibility for people to drink responsibly. Not a “bottomless” brunch then is it.
Visited this afternoon for a friend's 60th birthday. Food was out of this world. Kelly and her staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. My friend had commissioned a chocolate campervan made by the amazing Ashley, and you wouldn't believe the detail, the skill of that man. Thanks to all who made my friends' day the best she could of wished for x x we will definitely be returning. X
