Used to get 2 or 3 cappuccinos in wetherspoons £1.71 always lukewarm tepid now i get 1 in the merchant 2.49 a nice big cup piping hot evev get a good morning from luci would recommend and give 5 stars

Karl the DJ was brilliant with his great music he convinced me and my friends to come to the merchant and stayed for ages and got lots of drinks we had a great time and Karl was lovely would come again if Karl the DJ is there and will be reccomending Karl the DJ nights at the merchant to all my friends!! Thank you Karl the Dj you lit up my life!

Come most Fridays for the Karoke night. Absolutely love it, such a great vibe and best venue in leeds for karaoke. Wish they would do it on Saturdays too.

Came with a party of 7 and all orders were incorrect or had missing items. Waited a long time food came in parts. Not happy only bar staff were okay but wouldn’t recommend. Said only one chef and lots of items unavailable.

Usually love this please - but was very disappointed today. Was told there was 1 hour wait for food because they had a big booking. Which on its own is understandable- but I must have interacted with 2 or 3 staff whilst looking at a menu and was sat in the pub for 20 mins - nobody told me - until I ordered - would have been nice to have been told sooner - end having to get a maccies

Not a bad pub for a city center pub its got friendly staff and colourful characters coming and going which can be quite amusing. The drinks are cheap and I always have a laugh in there whenever I call in.

Unless you're a local don't bother trying for karaoke as they'll skip you for the local people

Thank you so much to Team Merchant Leeds! My daughter and her 2 friends had an amazing time with you all last Friday night. My daughter became quite poorly (obviously a little too much to drink I imagine!) But the care and attention Team Merchant showed the girls was so caring. Thank you Bouncer Scott, Rebekah (management) and staff. They enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drink so much they can't wait to come back to you again! Thank you for helping & staying with the girls until I arrived. You all went above and beyond and I am so grateful! ❤

I went there a week ago for drinks ks with my friends from York we had a good night

Lovely place and amazing staff. My friend got really sick but Scott and Becca were so so incredible and helped us out the whole time. All the staff were so lovely and understanding. Can also recommend the karoake!

Love this pub. Set next to Merrion Centre, can be quiet during the week (which is how I like it tbh) but weekends and if there is any live sport on at the time, it can become VERY busy .. especially when football season starts! Prebooked a table a few times, so that I can guarantee a good seat, usually a booth as this has two charging points for mobiles, tablets etc. PLENTY OF TV'S TO WATCH DIFFERENT SPORTS ON AT THE SAME TIME ASWELL! Lovely welcoming staff, reasonable bar/food prices, good atmosphere, especially on matçh days. Clean ladies toilets, with extra large toilet cubicles down at the bottom end of the row, which would be good for disabled access (but there is also a disabled toilet available) or 'friends' who want to chat together lol! 👱 Pool table and dart board, aswell. No wonder that I am there quite often! 😂

Haven’t been there in a while, decided to brave it tonight. It was just after the England game, so place was pack with drunken louts singing to really loud played music! Couldn’t hear anything due to music was loud. Used to have good DJs …But not tonight.

Really enjoy coming here staff good and food amazing especially the large fish.

The evening was fabulous, food was fine, karaoke fun was on when around 8ish. Only drops a star for charging £3 for a glass of coke with tons of ice.

Loved this place, booked a table for the football, on arrival we were welcomed at the door, evidenced our booking and got straight in. Someone had taken our seats, this was quickly rectified by the bar staff. The toilets were spotless. Seven deep at the bar with a good queue and jovial banter by everyone. Took a while to get served, however the bar staff never stopped and were always polite and helpful despite being rushed off their feet. Thank you for a well organised wonderful afternoon.

Great spot for lunch, had 2 lite bite meals. Fish sub & southern fried chicken sub with chips. Both under £10 didn't realise you could have free soft drink included or alcoholic drink for £1.00. So had 2 drinks each 😂. Food was tasty & hot. Lady behind bar brought 2nd drinks to the table.

Popped in for a beer on Saturday, nice pub, the drinks were fresh and there is a good pool table area. The ladies loos really stank of urine and muck up the walls, needs a serious deep clean. It literally took my breath away, for that reason I wouldn't eat in this place, even though the food smelled tasty. What a shame!!

We had a Kickboxing social there for 40 people, staff are amazing. It was for our Christmas meal they set the tables beautifully with crackers and Christmas hats. We all had an amazing time. The food was lovely and there was lots of it so everyone was full when they left Will definitely go again next year

Decent selection of lagers and prices are great. Lots of screens for sport. Not the cleanest or most comfortable pub but it's fine for a quick pint

We were on the lookout for a spot to enjoy some quick drinks, and stumbling upon this pub turned out to be a stroke of luck. The drink selection was top-notch, and the 2 for 1 cocktails were an unbeatable deal. We couldn't resist and ended up with two delightful cocktails each. The 10 shots of Cherry Sourz, also on a special offer, added an extra kick to our evening. While we didn't order any, the Beer selection also seemed quite large and affordable. The staff were not only friendly but impressively efficient; our drinks were prepared swiftly, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The lively atmosphere, coupled with multiple TVs showcasing different sports, created an engaging backdrop. Football and horse racing provided entertainment as we enjoyed our drinks. The pub's location is conveniently easy to get to, making it an ideal choice for a spontaneous night out. Overall, a five-star experience—great drinks, friendly service, lively ambiance, and a perfect location. We'll definitely be back for more!
